Mahin Spice in Newport

Wasn't sure about ordering from here,due to lack of reviews,even though it's been open for a long time. Gave it a try tonight and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was hot and fresh,with great flavours. Staff were friendly and collected within 20mins as stated the person who took my order. One star deducted as my Pathia although flavoursome was not as hot as I've had from other places.Apart from that excellent all round.

Really disappointing. After trying to find a delivery service to where I am , I thought I would give these a try. Not only were my popadoms in over 200 bits like they had been stamped on and could nt pick them up to eat the order was wrong and I did nt have some of the products that I had paid for. Also the chicken in the korma was cold and needed microwaving.i understand things can go wrong how ever 3 thungs on 1 order is a little to much for my liking So won't be using these again I'm afraid

Just ordered off Just Eat, best Indian I have ever had. Everytime we have ordered from other restaurants there has been loads of excess water and oil. Zero grease, pipping hot and a quick delivery. This is my go to Indian from now one :).

Ordered bombay chicken no potaos or onions like said on menu and didnt taste anything like bombay chicken

Food was missing from the order, called up to ask for missing food to be delivered was and was told contact just eat instead, horrible staff, horrible service and will never return to a curry house I’ve used for 5+ years

Have just ordered and received one of the best Indian meals (Garlic Chicken) my wife and I have ever tasted, excellent quality meal and super portions, delivered by a really nice fella, will definitely use again .... thanks

Will definitely continue to order from here, my whole family loves it too and we’re a family full of fussy eaters! I hate coriander and Always ask for it to not be added to anything in my food order and they never mind me asking this, in some other places I have asked for them not to include coriander and I had been told that unless I have an allergy to it then it would still be included. So I am very happy that mahin spice are able to do this for me! I could not recommend this place enough, honestly is the best 5stars!

Its a take away , no place to eat in , but the food that Mr Kausar made for us was immensely tasty and out of this world , very very highly recommended and the best food we tasted in a while . The prices were really budget friendly .

This is our local Indian takeaway and I have to say it is by a mile the best.The food is outstanding, full of flavour, good consistency and the portions are really good. You can taste the difference in the quality of the meat they use and the amount you get compared to other takeaways.The chef will accommodate any requests to vary or change a dish to your liking and will even recommend a change if you ask.Simply the best there is in Newport and it never changes.Give it a try!

I come from London on a regular basis to see family in Newport. I have had many curries and this place cooks best curries I have ever tasted in UK. Compliment to the chef.

Most of the food from other takeaways taste the same you cannot distinguish which takeaway they came from, but the food from Mahin Spice has extra flavours, which makes this takeaway stand apart from all the others,

This has been my favourite Indian takeaway for a number of years an have always recommend it, however this time of ordering it I was highly disappointed the tikka masala and the mint sauce didn't have the flavour it normally does the colour didn't look appertising either, will give it another go as it's normally lovely but the staff were still friendly an portion size was great.

We ordered a wide range of dishes for 7 of us ranging from Jalfrezi, Tikka Massala, Chicken Tikka, Pathia and Biryani wish madras sauce. Every dish was very tasty and had the right amount of heat. I had the Biryani but to be fair done s bit of hovering up and found both the tikka masala and Jalfrezi to be just as good. I thought the value was pretty good as there was discount and free poppadoms with the food we ordered. It’s a shame that there is no online menu otherwise we would have ordered other food such as the Thali. We will definitely be using thus as our local for the forceable. Enjoy.

The food was excellent and staff are very friendly I’ll make it my regular takeaway from now on there curries are very flavoursome especially the murgh Bhuna special and kochi kochi chicken rice was fresh and fluffy excellent overall

I was recently let down by an "Indian" restaurant locally after using them for many years - possibly a chef issue but as with fate I chanced upon this take away and was bowled over in every way. The service I had was exemplary and they catered to my culinary needs with genuine concern and made sure that I would be a repeat customer and in that they have definitely succeeded! Incidentally, and this is surely rare, they are also the most keenly priced (I hate using the word cheapest but I think they are!)Absolutely no need to look elsewhere!

Este es el mejor para llevar comida sabrosa comida buena y limpia. Hemos estado yendo allí durante años y nunca he tenido ningún problema. Los sabores de la comida es increíble y no siempre atento, si te gustan las cosas un poco spicier sólo hay que preguntar y te van a hacer esto para usted ... Son el mejor queso feta, no hubiera un curry en ningún otro lugar.

Best Indian takeaway in Newport.

Fair play and respect where it's due. The food always arrives hot and usually very quickly. The food is always full of flavour and reasonably priced. Honestly, they could charge more and still be worth the money (please don't). Keep up the good work guys.

Probably one of the best indian takeaways in the area at the moment. Good size portions including lots of meat in my favourite - Chicken Jalfrezi. Home delivery usually takes around 45 mins.

My usual takeaway and always up to the best standard! Good sevice and taste. Wouldn't order from anywhere else!
