Second time here. Great food once again.

Wonderful experience, original Indian food with Indian vipe. Staff are very friendly and very professsional. Nice suggestion from staff for top items on the menu. Glad I had their suggestions, top nodge. Definitly coming back for more.

This is an 100% Bangladeshi , I ate from there and the chicken was feeling like 1 week old and I diarrhea after eating from there , never try to eat from there if you have a sensitive stomach.

We love to eat from here occasionally. We usually have a takeaway on the offer. The staff are friendly and our order was done really fast. You have to pay extras on certain items, which I find do add up. Unfortunately, we paid the extra for pilau rice, but found out too late that it was boiled. Apart from that our food was really good 👍🏻 If you eat in, there is no alcohol served. However, you are allowed to take your own. The ambience is lovely, and the recent refurbishment is warm and cosy. So I would be pleased to go there for a sit-down meal one night.

Food was good, the Phal chili phal is actually spicy! They were accommodating for our 6 party group and had some unique menu items. Thank you!

Absolutely loved this place! The flavours were authentic, rich, and beautifully balanced each dish felt like a warm invitation to India/Bangladesh itself. The mixed starter was delightful spicy hot and tasty. The chicken Jalfreizi was tender and spicy, the Naga beef was perfectly spiced and tender, and the keema naan was warm soft with just the right garlic butter. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious, soulful India/Bangladesh food! 5 stars. Can’t wait to come back soon.

The best place for a curry in newport

Me and Claire came for a curry on our stay in Newport. Warm poppadoms came out with a good chutney tray. The vegetarian sharing platter to start was tasty. All of our paneer dishes were decent, but I would have liked the paneer a bit crisper. Finished with kulfi, which was very nice. The mojitos that we drank were nice too.

We very much enjoyed our meal. Everything was delicious! Food was well cooked, very tasty and just the right amount of spice. We were down from Birmingham for the Newport Marathon. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. We thought the decor looked lovely. We would definitely visit again.

A cozy and welcoming restaurant in the heart if Newport. A short walk from the train station. We did not have a reservation but thankfully they were able to accommodate us on a busy Friday night. The food was abundant and tasty. I would recommend and visit again.

Our food was absolutely gorgeous (as it always is) Outstanding flavours gently extracted by a skilled chef who evidently takes great pride in the art of culinary expertise. Each individual flavour was clearly recognisable in every dish and the use of the finest fresh ingredients evident in every mouthful. Attention to detail on a level that puts Taste Of Asia at the pinnacle of Indian cuisine. Having done business with this family owned and run establishment for over 25 years, not once has it failed to impress. My advice is simple, if you want the best Newport has to offer in this type of cuisine don't even consider going anywhere other than Taste Of Asia.

I want to start this review by being completely honest. The food was amazing! I would love to dine here again or even order takeaways from this place again. However I feel that that service from start to finish was very poor! Me and my friends had a table booked at 7:30pm and were given 2 hours eating time frame (which is perfectly acceptable) We arrived at 7:15, we were told we arrived early and we need to wait. We were very happy to do so, and at 7.45 we were seated. (1hr 45mins left) I will include the clock countdown as this becomes important. After being sat for 20mins we were approached top take a drinks order and starters (order popadoms and the bits tray) popadoms took 20mins to arrive and we had finished our food and had to ask twice during this for our drinks. Our drinks arrived 30mins after ordering. (so we have 55mins left of our 2 hour slot) When the drinks finally arrived, our food order was taken. 25mins we had to wait before our food arrived. During this time, countless takeaway, deliveroos turn up and are taken. This greatly annoyed me as it seems takeaway meals were a priority to seating orders. When our food arrived this left us with 35mins to eat! At this stage myself and 2 friends were hungry and we demolished our food quickly. As I stated, the food was amazing. My one friend is a slow eater. 20mins into eating our meals, I over hear our waiter approach a customer who were booked and he said (He was right behind me as he said this) "I will get this table to hurry and get this ready for you" To which I became annoyed. He says "are you guys finished now?", and went to grab out plates as my friend was eating! And I snapped and said "No we are not done! as you can see my friend is still eating!" We were not impressed by this level of service. My friend felt he needed to rush his meal, and we left, paid for our meal (left no tip). Would not visit again on a Saturday! food 5 starts service very poor! I hope my review helps!

We travelled to Newport as we can’t find a decent Indian in the centre of Cardiff. I have visited once before and had no hesitation in returning. So handy for the station, excellent food, and brilliant service. Strangely there are no traditional lamb dishes but there is (unusually) beef, and plenty of other options. Very much recommend.

A lovely gem of a restaurant. Superb food and although there is no liquor licence there is an off licence literally a minute away. Friendly service, good ambience and an amazing flavourful meal.

The food was delicious and flavoursome. And served in good time. It was Sunday evening, so not too crowded atmosphere. Abdul and his team made it an excellent evening and experience for us. Will strongly recommend.

We've never had a negative experience with Taste of Asia, and we get home deliveries and also go to the restaurant occasionally. Staff always courteous and kind. Food is wonderful (never any trouble to make dishes vegan as that's our preference. Abdul the chef and owner is a lovely man who clearly takes pride in delivering great service and great food. First visit for a dine in meal after enjoying their takeaway food. Attentive, helpful staff helped us through the menu. Nice atmosphere and very clean. Soft drinks only but you are able to bring in your own alcohol. The food was faultless,my Taka Tin Beef was particularly good, the chef came front of house to ask if everything was OK, never had that in any Curry House before,nice touch. Made to feel very welcome and we were both pleased with the standard and flavour of or dishes. We will return for sure.

The Environment of Restaurant for dining with friend is very good and foods are too tasty than others. Staffs are well behaviour and polite.

Here for the football from Bradford and have to say, what a fantastic meal! Had the taka-taka chicken tikka, husband had garlic chilli chicken and son had chicken tikka bhuna - all delicious- would definitely recommend.

Our go to Indian restaurant in Newport, We use this restaurant for eat in and often for a delivery and they never fail to provide excellent food and service. Being Valentines night they were obviously busy but the standard was still 10 out of 10. Thanks Hussain and the staff for providing excellent service.
