We were a party of eleven and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, All the food was wonderful and plenty of it, we will certainly be back

Here for the football from Bradford and have to say, what a fantastic meal! Had the taka-taka chicken tikka, husband had garlic chilli chicken and son had chicken tikka bhuna - all delicious- would definitely recommend.

Amazing food at a very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend. Best Indian/Punjabi restaurant in Newport. A must for all curry fans. We will be back.

Absolutely stunning takeaway meal unfortunately a breakdown in the communication . Me and a friend sharing a takeaway special meal deal. I ordered meal then went to the toilet but remembered we was sharing the deal 😱so quickly returned and ordered extra mint sauce and onion salad to go with my 6 popadoms. Unfortunately received none called up to notify the problem after a difficult conversation. We waited and waited and still didn't receive any condiments 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Newport. Flavorful food. I especially like their mint sauce. The staff are friendly and attentive, quick to get my order and anything else I needed. Nice hours, open late for a later dinner. They don't serve alcohol but allow you to bring your own if you want, and have a nice assortment of soft drinks and alcohol-free beers. Highly recommend

Amazing food and service, friendly staff, very clean establishment highly recommend if you like indian food !! I always have a beef Vindaloo which is always done to perfection not only that it's an open planned kitchen so you can see your food being cooked, you even see the chef who takes pride in the food. Excellent quality food, I had the chicken tikka jalfrezi, the curry sauce had a deep smoky flavour and was spiced perfectly, with just the right amount of heat. I was impressed with the keema naan, the bread was almost crisp but not overdone. Lots of vegan options on the menu which is nice to see, Indian food works very well with vegan and vegetarian dishes so nice to see the restaurant embracing that. I have eaten out in several local Indian restaurants in Newport in recent months including Lahore, Shoboraj, Three Mughals, Hatti but this was the best. Nice ambience in the restaurant as well, the interior decor is simple but classy and stylish. This just became my new ‘go to’ Indian restaurant and takeaway.

6 of us went for a xmas get together, all of us loved our meals, starters mains were fab and we will return. Seasick very tasty, balti flavoursome garlic naans light and tasty.

Popped in for some poppadoms and oinion bajhis. Poppadoms Under cooked not good.overpriced onion bajhis I got 2 lots they come in 4 but only one in 6 of them in size. Was sold chutney tray was not too bad but not good quality come to nearly £20 wouldn't use again.

The food was very tasty, luckily for me not too spicy. The service was very courteous and friendly. The ambience was unfortunately a bit noisy, but nicely decorated.

Absolutely delicious food, friendly staff and an overall great experience. I loved that the staff could recommend dishes too that we really liked. The menu offers all the usual dishes you'd expect but also has some excellent chef's specials if you're feeling like something different. You do have to BYOB if you want an alcoholic drink but this was fine and they don't charge corkage. There are also some nice looking mocktails on the drinks menu. Well worth visiting!

Great rhogan josh & naan, but poor quality chutneys/pickles for the poppadoms.

First of all the look of the place is really exquisite, old wood panelling mixed with a modern flare really creates something unique and special. The service is very friendly and helpful, they told me that they had been around for 30 years and are one of the only businesses left that made it through COVID in that little street. That filled me with confidence, I got take away chicken bhuna and taka dhal and they threw in some poppadoms. I ate these on the way home as it was a 20 minute walk to where I'm staying unfortunately these were overcooked and not great and I started to worry about the quality of my meal. I'm not joking that it was such a good tasting curry I can forgive the poppadoms this time and still give the food 5 stars. Rich aromas and flavours with a decent kick and packed out with chicken, I will have the dhal for lunch today. Will I go again probably tonight after work lol

The best food in wales. Environment is one of a kind. Not access use of spices and oil. Taste 10/10 Staff 10/10 I highly recommend to visit “Taste of Asia” at least once a week with your family 😍😋

Just the sort of Indian I was looking for as I couldn’t find a traditional one in Cardiff centre. So I travelled by train to Newport and found this restaurant near the station. Ideal, excellent in all respects. It’s on my map now and so I’ll return next time I’m in the area. “Ten out of Ten”!

Staying in hotel and dropped in by chance. First class food and service, was early evening and quiet but still a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend if you live in the area or like me just passing by.

The food is absolutely stunning, we had a set meal for 2 and there was so much food. Everything was so tasty. The service is first class and can't be faulted. We wish we lived closer so we could come again . Please give this restaurant a try , you won't be disappointed.

We were not disappointed, it was beautiful and so tasty with lots of different flavours. We will definitely be trying here again.

We were the only diners on a Saturday evening, which was no problem. Service excellent, the chef came out to speak with us, food was delicious, tender beef and chicken, spiced just right, presented well. Lots of people calling in for take aways and lots going out fir delivery.
