Enjoyed my food, lovely service

Good value for food really enjoyed specifically chicken madras I had which is one of best in Newport

Scheduled order (after foodball) and came perfectly on time, food was amazing. Was incidental to the order but the onion bhaji starter with salad and mint was amazing. Fresh bhaji, smallish - so cooked perfectly - and nice and warm. Just spot on all round. Not like the football result.

My food was delivered before the time stated and was hot and tasty as always. There was a slight oversight with one item but realising the error it was rectified immediately without me having to ring them. Customer service was absolutely amazing.

Just had a curry from there and it was the worst I’ve ever had , didn’t even look like tikka and it was too sweet to eat, the chips didn’t taste fresh , never going there again

Excellent quality and very tasty. All food arrived piping hot. Shame delivery was delayed but definitely worth waiting for. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Order was taken quickly and with no fuss, the food was delivered quickly and for a £1 charge. The food was fresh and tasty, and the prices reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

The food was great. My partners vegan and is usually upset that her options are not spicy. She tried the vegan dhansak and it had a good kick to it, so she was very happy. The bhajis were amazing and all our other dishes and sides were great. I particularly enjoyed the Shobji paneer. Thank you for the great food we will definitely order again.

Normally exceptional and my go to Indian. However, this time they forgot an item (in a 3 item order 🤦‍♂️) and it arrived 30 minutes past the estimated time (keep customers updated on the app…) . Disappointing experience for a £20 meal for one

Food was OK. To much Gee. It was swimming in oil. The delivery driver got the address wrong, parked miles away from the house and waited for us to go to him. Attitude problem!

I would say that I've tried every Indian takeaway in Newport and some I return to. I've returned to the Mirchi twice now in the last two months, just to be sure and my doubts have been confirmed. I won't be going back for multiple reasons. Main reason is the quality of the food. Its lacking all around. Pity...

Food was flavoursome, and the collection time was spot on! In contrast, I found the rice very dry as if already made for some time and the containers very greasy to the extent that it dyed the table top. Small portion of old salad placed in a doggy bag was also not appealing.

Disappointed. Food items missing and rotten salad provided. Won't be using this place again :(

Well it's usually good from this restaurant but today was so disappointing, the first taste from the curry was lemon, no spice taste at all, and the onion bhajis didn't taste fresh. Yes it was all hot, but so bland. What a shame

Kebab cocktail was disappointing, no onion and sauce bland. Chicken Madras was ok, chicken was really nice but sauce blended to resemble baby food. Thought I would give it a try but not what I would call a good meal. Arrived fresh and hot and good quality ingredients, just not the style I enjoy

Hands down THE BEST curry in Newport. Clean and fresh. Not oily and over done. Doesn’t stain your fingers and mess up your dishes. Had curry, rice, sides and bread all absolutely awesome. Only thing I’d say is that Dhansak was a little too spicy, as usually not mega hot, but was still so good. Fair play *clap clap clap clap clap* take a bow chef. Best curry town.

Fantastic food, absolutely delicious - superb garlic+keema naan, the attention to the basics really show how good a curry house is sometimes! Shashlik mixed bhuna... Sounds like a pick and mix, and maybe it is, but it's an absolute delight to eat. Top all this off with delivery 20 minutes before the delivery window, when ordered at 8pm on a Friday? Superb takeaway - thank you.

Despite giving accurate directions, the driver went to the wrong address. When he arrived at my house he was surly and unrepentant, I switched to Mirchi as my previous supplier had switched to Uber Eats. A mistake, especially as last week's delivery was 15 mins late. One service failure I can overlook - two suggests this company has a problem.

I would never order again if I'm honest, the chicken In the chicken nuggets smelt foul, the curry was Bland, the chips undercooked and the onion bhajis were covered in grease. What a waste of money.

The waitress Angelina always goes above and beyond to get our order perfect and the foods very tasty!

Food gorgeous including fantastic vegan options. Im vegan and my oartner eats meat and everywhere else we've tried one of us always seems to need to compromise but I think Mirchi is a winner fir bith of us! Arrived a little earlier than expected which was fine but we'll probably choose a set time next time just in case (I was almost still in the bath!). Really good. Would highly recommend.

Was over hour and a half - 45 mins late, however they had clicked that it had arrived on time on the JustEat app. They didn't deliver the drink we ordered, requested some money back but they refused.

Fiods not good at all. First time we order here and Im sure its the last time. Lamb madras are so tough as rubber.. Never eat any of the meat. Papadoms are half cooked... We thought we should try coz we always order from tamarind.. But so far... Nothing beats tamarind. Food quality are far better than the other specially in this restaurant. Never going to order here again. Not happy at all

Food tasted very bland and overpriced for the quality won't be eating again

The food off the vegan menu is lovely, and the chef even sent a message with the driver about the mint sauce (which included dairy) as one of us isn't vegan but they double checked anyway. Very considerate. And the food tasted great too. Would recommend!

Fantastic service, quick delivery too. They took my order just before closing. Called me straight away to let me know order will be with me within 20 mins. I did wonder how the food would be so close to closing time. But it did not disappoint at all. 10/10. Fresh, hot, flavourful. I ordered the chicken tikka nans and both were beautiful. Not usual standard tonight,poor pilau rice full of water,madras lacked depth of flavour quite bland , shame always used Mirchi time for a change?

Mirchi is the go to Indian for me ,fantastic curry every time ,very tasty freshly made tikka Mussala was banging never had any problem delivery is always on Time ,very friendly person 10 out of 10

The chips and rice were lovely but unfortunately the veg madras and dupiaza were not that tasty.

Quick delivery but the chips, tarka daal and poppadum all tasted of old oil. Inedible, unfortunately.

Best takeaway within the are we have regularly use this takeaway 10/10 every time, highly recommended chicken tikka mussala and keema nan was banging

Food was horrid, Madras sauce was like water and far too much onion blended in the sauce. Pot of mint sauce was tiny, poppadoms were damp. Will not be ordering from here again. Only ordered because my usual Indian takeaway (Spicy Aroma, Caerleon Road) had closed when I placed the order.

Very delicious. It's an unassuming little place on Caerleon Road but it's has always been consistently good. I always love the methi gosht particularly (it's a rich spiced spinach sauce) and I usually have it with lamb. Tried it with chicken last night and it was the tenderest chicken I've ever had from a takeaway!

Absolutely disgusting, tandoori chicken very dry not a lot of pepper's, onions,also ordered a special chefs Biriani no meat just rice, don't go there waste of money.

Really wanted to like this but the food was so disappointing. The curry was swimming in grease, bland and left a really bitter after taste. There was very little chicken tikka in the sauce and it had been cut in to small pieces. Sadly I would never order from here again.

I've ordered many many times from this takeaway and I never get tired of it. The food always piping hot and very tasty! I've tried many different Indian takeaways and none compare! Beautiful food!
