Simple but a lovely fish and chips, fresh too

Always try and have a meal from here when I come down from Kent, food is always cooked to perfection with good portions and the staff and proprietor are always cheerful and friendly!

Very nice and friendly people at the Cod Bite. The fish and chips were delicious. The chips were freshly made I finished mine to the last chip 😋. If you ever pass by do not hesitate you will not regret.

Went in for a Portion of Chips and a spring roll very nice small portion of chips was very big so shared them with my son

Having owned a chip shop 35 years ago I can say that this chip shop is very very good. I believe these are recently new owners and arevdoing a fantastic job. Very friendly happy person behind the counter, I think it was the owner. Would definitely say visit them.

Food is nice here, be aware that this shop is Cash Only now. They did take card previously but I recently placed a phone order and when I went to collect it was informed that it was cash only! It would have been helpful to tell customers this before they arrive!! Luckily the Premier shop opposite was still open so could withdraw cash there (Interestingly owned by the same family who own the chippy, Just saying) When I questioned this the Lady told me that it has always been cash when I know 100% that it was not as my friend worked there until fairly recently and I had paid by card there previously, so unfortunately I was lied to which has put me off returning as they clearly do not value their customers.

Always a warm and friendly greeting, lovely and clean and the food is outstanding, would highly recommend this chip shop that's why I gave it 5 stars Worth travelling from Banwen to Crynant to get.

Best fish and chips I have had in a while. And reasonable price. Clean shop and friendly staff and fresh food. Never had fish .and chips in a box before. Much much nicer.

Certainly the best fish and chip shop in Wales We won't go anywhere else. The staff are fantastic and the food freshly cooked and delicious. I highly recommend. Don't ever close again as I will have to get a job with you all just to keep you open xxxx

Lovely food lovely staff but never open

Chips are really nice, would have given 5 stars but the only thing that let's them down is that it's not open,when it should be, quite often and has strange opening times for a chippy...closes too early at night.
