Sky Thai Takeaway & Cafe in Neath Port Talbot

Now called Hot Moon Thai Kitchen we called in and had some very very nice food. For starters, we had Thai Fish Cakes and Chicken Satay, Both lovely, the Fishcakes especially nice with lovely fresh flavours. Main course we had Beef in oyster sauce, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Thai Veg Fried Rice. All really nice. I can't believe we have never been before either when it was called Sky Thai or since the change of name.

In the wake of having gone to Wanna Thai down the road some months ago, I popped in here for a late (3pm) Pad Thai on my way home from work. It was--like that at the other establishment--absolutely delicious. I was the only person there, and the boss lady was, as well as whipping it up for me, chopping up veg for the evening rush and on a video call with her friend in Malaysia: true, brilliant multitasking. The name has changed to 'Hot Moon Thai Kitchen' but the management is the same. Port Talbot is lucky to have two great Thai places. NB cash only.

Friendly staff, delicious food. I have eaten in lots of times and I've had a few takeaways. You can actually bring your own pint in from Ruben's next door, to enjoy with your meal, too. I would definitely recommend this lovely place as a tasty alternative to other takeaways. Sky Thai is a favourite with me.

What an exceptional find in Port Talbot, a place that keeps drawing its patrons back, time after time. WoW! What a fantastic eating experience, Duan who is the owner & cook made our welcome very enjoyable. My partner & I enjoyed a wonderfully presented Thai soup & mouth watering Tofu Panang. The bill at the end barely made double figures £13:50p.. I would highly recommend this hidden gem in the heart of Port Talbot.. Thank you HotMoonThaiKitchen, we will return soon.. 🔥❤️

The panang was like water And the pad grawpow that I asked for extra how didn’t have one chilli in it blandest Thai Iv ever had wldnt recommend at all

On our way to the ferry port we were looking for somewhere for dinner and stumbled upon reviews of this place! In one review someone said, “Don’t be put off by how the restaurant looks”. Well we weren’t and wow, wow, wow!! I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to food and I want food to be good. This food was outstanding!! One of the best Thai meals we’ve ever had! We really enjoy a proper level of spice and this was all levels of heat!! Highly recommend the red curry and coconut rice. Service was fabulous and the chef, extraordinary!! This is now saved in our favourites! Hands down get yourself there for the BEST Thai of your life!!

Don't judge this takeaway and dine-in café by its looks. The service and the food is exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Don't let the first impressions put you off. Will certainly be back again when we are in the area.

Sky Thai was a real find if you're around the area looking for authentic Thai food for an amazing price. The service was quick and cheerful and felt comfortable sitting in the restaurant as the tables were very spaced out. We had the chicken satay, chicken wings, vegetable spring rolls, pad tai and pad see yew. All of which was tasty and not too salty as it should be. This is an absolute find! Make sure you bring cash.

Lovely homely and authentic Thai food in a comfortable, relaxed setting served up by super friendly staff who make you feel at home. Incredibly reasonably priced, generous servings. I've lived in and travelled the length of Thailand and this evoked all those wonderful memories. Faultless.

We visited this restaurant with a large group, the staff were so accommodating and closed the restaurant just for us. The service was outstanding and the food was so delicious! Very fresh and lovely flavours. Would highly recommend and we would definitely come back. It really is a hidden gem in Port Talbot.

Top food, some of the best Thai food I have tasted. On our way back for work. The soup starter was the best I have tasted, it was excellent, although a little spicy. The service was excellent and the hosts very accommodating. Will def visit again if in the area.

Thought we would give this a try today as we cant go to our usual one in Morfa because of lockdown. Had a takeaway, chicken penang and tai red curry with rice and spring rolls really nice will definately be going back

My sister in law recently came to visit us, she is a Thai woman herself living in England. She purchased alot of food from this establishment and rated it top notch! We all got around the table and had a go in eating everything and it was absolutely gorgeous. The spicy papaya salad was out of this world beautiful, not for the faint hearted though I'm afraid, I was sweating in places I had never sweat before after eating this dish. All the food itself was fulfilling and really tasty, and the cost is very reasonable for the potions you get. Can't wait to try the good from here again.

This place is amazing. Penang curry, red Thai curry and the Tom Yum were all fantastic, you must try it. Shocked there's as good a restaurant as this in Port Talbot. Unbelievably cheap too.

Really nice little restaurant to get a pretty decent thai meal at a reasonable price. Will definitely come back. 2 star rating for hygiene rating leaves some people asking questions but inside seems very clean and pretty tidy. And if you've ever eaten in Thailand then the hygiene rating definitely wouldn't apply there.

I’ve tried a load of Thai places to eat in Swansea,neath,Briton ferry and Cardiff this is the best the food is cooked fresh and the excellent quality the taste is out of this world, I’m so happy the ladies came to port talbot and opened this place up 😊I’m a regular

I placed a take away order over the phone and it was ready to collect on time. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was fresh, hot and tasted great. We totally enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is just adjacent to the main post office and wasn't hard to find. Highly recommend.
