Such a pleasant pub facing the castle & close to the main square, we visited fri,sat spoke to friendly locals & bar staff had such a good laugh, great selection of drinks available, karaoke on the friday, great music playing allday, we were due to leave sunday morning but couldnt resist the sunday carvery id heard so much about, the selection of food was impressive, 4 types meats, vegetarian option including gravy, cauli cheese, cabbage, carrot/swede mash, peas, brocolli, roast & mash, pigs in blankets, BONUS as much gravy as you like 👌hot fresh and super tasty meal worth every penny £13

Looked at deserts, decided to get profiterole cheesecake. There was two cut slices left, ordered one and paid. I sat down at a table and a minute later the cheesecake came. The server muttered something along the lines of “sorry I forgot you ordered cheesecake” which I thought was odd. Then I looked at the slice of cheesecake, it was half the size of the slices on display, a slither of one of the slices (so thin it was barely standing up on the plate). So after seeing the product and paying for it, the staff are then cutting the item in half. This is false advertising and deceptive of them. If customers are paying for one full slice of cake shown on display, they expect the receive the one full slice they paid for. I hope this was a one time mistake and not common practice

So when I ordered a plain burger the woman pulled a Karen face and when. I ordered a drink she added a extra on my bill and when the food came the burger had cheese I said plain my school teacher ordered a bq stack burger plant based burger and we had warm Cookie dough it was cold. WE R Never coming back here again

We not there today as we liked lt when we went a few weeks ago beautiful food very friendly staff and really good value for money .

We bought 2 ice cream and happily ate it outside. Out of nowhere, a rude old lady told us not to eat it on the shop despite the fact that we bought it in their shop! Rudeness like this will kill your business! Train your staff very well! Also, pay attention on what your customers buying so you wont be embarass like that!

I threw a surprise 30th for my husband in August and Caitlin helped me every step of the way. She was absolutely amazing with communiction and nothing was too much. She suggested ideas and helped me with organising the place ready. I couldn’t thank her enough for how helpful and professional she was. Thank you so much. I would suggest Nolton Corner as a venue for anyone looking for a party! It was amazing and my husband loved it. Thank you Caitlin 🌟

Started Popping into the branch more often recently. Staff are always pleasant and enjoy a bit of banter and conversation with each other Very Popular branch with Locals and passers by. Tidy and well kept. No issues with the layout etc.

My friend and I are regular walkers and always used to break our walk for a cup of coffee but some time ago stopped calling because the coffee had become so weak, watery, and tasteless. After visiting again recently we find there is no improvement and the coffee is still like milky water, and at £3.50 per cup a disappointment. It is sad because Tides is a good stop off point in mid walk which we used to enjoy but will be giving it a miss.

An excellent Sunday luncheon. A comfortable and pleasant hotel with a pleasant bar & dining room, open fires very warm & comforting on a cold day. A Duck parfait starter followed by. Sirloin of beef. Ideal spot for a late Sunday lunch. Beautifully presented and well deserving of 2 AA Rossettes.

Nice coffee, cheese toasties wasn't up to much it handy while shopping,will go back but will have something different,

Stayed here last night. Nice room, clean and very comfortable. Did not go into pub below for food/drinks but I would book the room again.

Atmosphere is good and lively, my issue was lack of drink choice and toilets were in a poor state

Complete wrong order was delivered by the delivery driver. No phone number to ring to rectify the situation. Got £10 pound worth of items when I spent £46
