caffe Nero in Monmouthshire

Coffee and food were amazing,staff were very welcoming and it was overall an amazing place, highly recommended...Will be back!!

Twice we have been here over at least a month and have seen a tramp with his belongings on a trolley in the cafe. This is very off-putting. Staff do not seem to care about it.

Called here today. Coffee was good. would call again as it is bigger than other caffee nero. Position in high street.

What can one say really? A nice, drinkable, comfortable, if a little expensive perhaps, latte with some nice cakes on offfer too.

First time visiting Monmouth branch. Popped in for two take away mochas on Saturday 6th November. Two trainee baristas working. Got back to the car drove off. Took a sip of the coffee it was totally tasteless. Really wish I had tasted it before I left. I have always said Nero’s was my favourite coffee chain. But won’t return really disappointing.

Not busy, very few customers but very slow to clear tables and not sanitised. Don't feel safe, NHS qr code not recognised

What is there to say about a chain coffee shop....not a lot really but i will say that the service here was good and the staff very friendly.

Great Coffee, Great Company. Clean premises with helpful staff. Will most definitely be back the next time I am in Monmouth.

We preferred this coffee shop to Costas although that is not always the case. There is a more relaxed atmosphere and the coffee is pretty good!

Came in here for a coffee break whilst staying in Monmouth. Coffee is good quality and service was very good. Clean cafe.

Having just had a poor experience at a branch of this chain in England I felt moved to acknowledge the fabulous, friendly service we always get from the team at Cafe Nero Monmouth. They are always helpful, welcoming and attentive to any request. The trays are cleared quickly even when they are busy and they usually say goodbye when you leave as well. 5 stars

A lovely place to recoup and relax with very tasty drinks, a very relaxing atmosphere and lovely, friendly staff.

The guys in Nero Monmouth always deliver the perfect flat white no matter who is serving. The roast as you would expect is top notch. Of all the chains Nero is the only one I find can deliver the perfect coffee. The staff in Monmouth are always very friendly and happy.

We called into Caffè Nero today the coffee was very nice but I suddenly noticed 3 dogs in there 2 of which were sat on chairs I didn't know it was a dog friendly shop what ever happened to the rule no dogs in a restaurant smelly dirty things should not be allowed

I was delighted to find a cafe which welcomes pets. Also a great wifi, and a nice collection of tables and chairs. Its the usual good coffee and ambience you expect. I'd rate it a notch above the average Cafe Nero.. and your average cafe simply because of consistently good service.

Called in for morning coffee while in the town. Very attentive staff and the usual choice of excellent coffee. Plenty of space and clean and tidy lounge.

Me temo que me encuentro todas las cadenas de la misma. Les falta carácter y personalidad de que hay mucho en otro lugar en Monmouth. En el otherhand, estos lugares pueden realizarse o rota por el personal. La chica que me atendió fue encantador. Amable y eficiente. Encontré otra niña quien groseramente interrumpe la conversación para anunciar que estaba acabando su turno y que ella era el fin muy desagradable. Claro que no tienen ninguna consideración para sus clientes

My favourite coffee from any of the many outlets in Monmouth. Big plus is well behaved dogs are allowed in (our dog just qualifies...).

I'm a big fan of this chain - often atmospheric, welcoming & always great coffee. This branch needed a spring clean - floor , table & seat were all sticky.

Called in to pick up a panini recently. I told her I was in a hurry and asked for it not to be toasted. As I turned to speak to a friend the young lady taking my order started toasting the panini - which meant I had to wait - not long admittedly but I wish she'd listened:-( I've eaten here previously and both the food and coffee are good so I'm sure this was just a little hiccup:-)

I used to use another coffee shop in Monmouth But cafe Nero has got to be the best Always lovely coffee all the girls are very friendly

I've been to several branches of Caffe Nero recently and all of them have the same issue: the service is great, but the cafe itself is filthy and there are dirty cups, plates, floors and loos at each branch I've visited.Except for this one.The place was spotless! They were obviously busy and the venue is a popular one, so it was all the more amazing that the place was kept so clean. And the toilets were exemplary.The service was friendly and very efficient. There were obviously a lot of regulars which made for a very pleasant atmosphere and reflects well on the people who run the place. We took our time and just felt so relaxed :)

I go here regularly, the coffee is excellent but the place is made by the fantastic staff. They are so warm and friendly, always a pleasure to go here!

Centrally located in Monnow Street, plenty of space, good service, prices reasonable, pleasant staff

My husband and I have been regular customers for years and never been disappointed. Staff is always friendly and remember our food choices, coffee is strong and selection of danish pastries are always freshly backed and very delicious! good place to pop in for a cuppa.

I have coffee here regularly...the staff are always very welcoming and know their regulars! Relaxed atmosphere and good coffee. I call in maybe three times a week!

Usual caffe Nero decor. Great service. Lovely coffee. Nice quiet coffee shop at least while we were there. Imagine it would be much busier in the main tourist season. Staff great. Highly recommend

Needed a pit stop for a frail elderly aunt and Cafe Nero was conveniently placed on a busy sunny day in Monmouth. Enjoyed what we had but was it value for money? Not sure.Be warned, as we had a bit of an emergency and vacant parking places were scarce I quickly grabbed a nearby parking space as a car departed. Big mistake,even using a blue badge for my disabled 90 years old aunt I got a ticket. The area is a loading only bay,but the road markings are so worn they are not obvious.Made for an expensive toilet break, won't be in a rush to return to Monmouth.bay

Called in for a coffee and a light lunch! Tuna sandwich way over priced and under filled! So much so it was bad for my eyes (strained my eyes looking for the tuna) wrinkly old cucumber which looked a few days old. No butter or spread on the bread so overall a very poor sandwich. I called the lady over and she also agreed that it was not acceptable. Gave me a refund no qualms. My friends lemon cheese cake was slightly frozen which she was warned about before she was given it, despite this she enjoyed it. Furniture in the place looked very tired and in need of replacing. Plus side of the experience was that two ladies working there were very friendly and pleasant.

A friendly place with adequate room both at the counter and inside for customer seating. Furniture was assorted and comfortable and the customer base was varied. The place is welcoming and restful - and the coffee was good at a reasonable price. We always go there and, despite being a busy day, we always manage to be seated. There are lavatories inside the premises and I would say the place is wheelchair friendly.

After visiting monmouth we called into cafe nero for a quick snack and a coffee the place was clean and tidy and the staff were very pleasant and polite and attentive to our needs. With out doubt we will return to cafe nero next time we are in the area one of the best coffee shops in monmouth if not the best in our opinion

We had a lovely experience here last year when we stopped, tired after a very long day of driving and sightseeing, to get some espressos for the road. The female manager who was there that evening (sorry I don't remember her name) was so warm and welcoming. We had various questions about Caffe Nero, as we had enjoyed their espressos throughout our 10-day driving tour of England and Wales, and she answered with a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed talking with her. The restrooms were clean, which you don't always find in coffee shops. The espresso was excellent, and we also enjoyed the sweets that we bought there.

Came for a coffee and snack with three young children . Good coffee, quick and friendly service with a smile. Part of a chain but diffently one of the better ones.

Good coffee and cakes. Ideal spot to read a newspaper while you wait for your wife to browse the shops.

What a disappointing time we had.. The red head serving was so distracted that she got our order wrong.. Forgot the 3 yr old little girl with us order.. When we asked her to please bring it over were blankly told come and pay for it and u can have it.. I said no your error please bring it and we will pay for it before we leave.. She then went and told her manager about "my" attitude... In a coffee shop with a dozen tables with people at them.. I went to the counter to pay for the snack and said how unhappy I was to be told by the manager " ok LOVELY.... I have it and will deal with it are you going to pay for the snack or not!!!!!!!!!" I insisted on an apology.. Paid for the snack and left.. BAD service.. A manager not worth her salt and staff attitude that is unbelievable... Manager in desperate need of customer service training...

always go here . excellent staff. always so willing to help. if I take my grandson in they always make his drink to suit. (more milk) and in his bottle. love the stem ginger biscuits. hot choc to die for. I always buy a box of choc coated coffee beans too.

OK, caffe Nero is a chain and this one is exactly like all the others but they always call me 'lovely' and the tea is nice! Its comfortable and has a reasonable food selection.

Visit Caffe Nero on almost a daily basis around the country but love my local one here in Monmouth.Always a smile from the helpful staff & nothing is too much of a problem for them & the coffee and especially the shakes are better than those from the other regular high street coffee shop chains.

They always make it to my own requirements by tweaking the standard mix of ice and milk. I like to relax in my lunch break and use my iPad on their free wi-fi to catch up on email.
