We didn’t stay but we called in for breakfast. They were shut or at full capacity. An amazing lady named Sarah on front of house provided us sandwiches and coffee and was an absolute star! Extremely welcoming and lovely. Thank you Sarah! We will 100% be looking to come and stay here in the future!

Really rude staff, not very friendly at all, would not recommend! Food was cold, and overall really disorganised. 1 star!

Me and my fiancé had walked in the pouring rain for an hour and half to arrived at Pen-y-pass and enjoy some food before talking a hike up Snowdon. The front of house working with the Liverpudlian accent provided one of the worst customer service interactions of my life. Having worked the service industry for years I couldn’t believe it. We were abruptly barked at to put on face masks (fair enough, even though we had our jackets over our faces). Once he had finished making coffee for another customer he turned his back on us and was fiddling around with the coffee machine. Upon asking “are you serving food at the moment” he didn’t even look round and just said “no, the chef is on his break” (at 12.15pm May I add) . Still not looking at us, I asked does he know when the chef will be back off his break. He replied “no” still not looking at us. Waiting for him to provide maybe some alternatives, he just continued rudely staring at the coffee machine with his back to us. I will never recommend this place, it looks run down and the scouse broke has a massive chip on his shoulder costing the business money. We were really in need of food before the hike. We turned around and got a bus back to Llanberis. Ruined our morning/

Visited today for a coffee and pizza for lunch. Coffee and pizza were actually good. But the staff must have studied under Basil Fawlty. Rude, unfriendly and all round @rseholes. If I hadn't already paid for the meal, I would have left. Get a grip guys. Learn some manners, learn some public relations skills. Be polite and hospitable. Never again....

A great place to finally take a seat after your walk up and down Snowdon, and enjoy a cold pint of maybe something a little stronger. Very welcoming.

Had an hour or so to kill before the last bus down to Llanberis so the Mallory cafe was a god send for us cold and hungry climbers. The best cup of tea ever and delicious moreish cake in the warm; well we almost didn’t want to leave. The food aromas from the kitchen were divine, if we weren’t reliant on the buses we would have eaten there on one of our evenings in Snowdonia. Staff all very friendly and didn’t mind us lingering and staying warm. Will definitely return and introduce more friends to the Mallory cafe.

We ate dinner and breakfast here whilst we stayed overnight after climbing snowdon. Our food was so lovely, with great portions and presented well. Breakfast was fab, and had a really wide choice. The kitchen staff serving breakfast were really welcoming.

Really well-cooked food, good portion sizes and a good range of options to choose from. There was also a specials board. All reasonably priced.

Was taken to task for ordering a takeaway coffee by one of the male members of staff, who said I should either stay in and have it or make sure I bring the paper cup back. Whilst I understand people's concerns with the environment, either don't sell take-away drinks or keep quiet. Or, make your point more politely and don't feel the need to lecture and talk down to your paying customers. The coffee itself was fine, but the service really was terrible.

I was staying at the YHA and needed food after climbing Snowdon. I’d spotted the menu the night before and already knew what I was having. There’s a good veggie selection and I had mock duck pancakes and nachos - both very tasty, filling and just what I needed. Nice staff and nice place to chill, i was also grateful that it was only a short walk upstairs to my bed.

Having dumped my breakfast at hotel due to being at the foot of the Pyg trail up Snowdon I took a breakfast at this establishment. My breakfast (ALL I COULD EAT) and a coffe was about £6. The staff and service was first class. Self service and table clearing, but what would you expect. Well done to the young enthusiastic team. Doug

Good location for breakfast before heading up the mountain - and they have lockers there for excess equipement. Slight disappoint with some of the staff (however others were great) - £6.25 for breakfast seemed a decent price to me as well

Well after walking the miners path and in need of some to eat and drink , it was welcoming to see this place as you come down from the path. But to find the place is not even open and loads of people including families crossed the road to find this placed closed. So that is why it has such a low rating

Planned walk up the miner’s didn’t quite go to plan when the car park opposite this cafe was full. No parking for miles, so we decided to follow what other cars (around 20) had done and tuck in on the road. There was plenty of room for cars to pass by us. We were only stopping to have a bite to eat in this cafe before a young girl came out and rudely addressed us. She said she had called the police as we were parking illegally and we’re going to cause an accident. Although we understood her point of view and were willing to move, that did not change what the rest of cars had already done (the owners of which were probably up the mountain by now) and we did not appreciate the way she was speaking to us. There was simply no need for it. She continued to be rude before storming back into the cafe and calling the police again. Rude, unnecessary and NOT welcoming at all. Glad we didn’t spend money in the cafe after all!!

Great pit stop before or after Snowdon. Cooked breakfast £6.25, jacket potatoes, pizza, burgers, one main cooked meal on the blackboard. Reasonable back bar and some decent wine (finally they have ditched the abominable Jack Rabbit). Hot drinks, cake, everything you could ask for in a mountain cafe.

Stayed here on-site at the hostel, great facilities with very capable staff, always working hard to help their customers. Worth popping in for a few even if you're not staying on site, however it is a bit of a mission to get home after a few sherbets.

The restaurant, now has a name, (Very apt) the hearty breakfasts and good evening meals are still of the previous high standard and plenty to set you off for the day or fill you up on returning.

We stopped here for lunch and sat outside looking over the harbour with a great view of the bridge. The service was very good and the staff welcoming and friendly. We soon had our lunch which were freshly made sandwiches with salad and crisps. Delicious! Glad to have eaten here and enjoy the lovely views!.
