People can present themselves as being green and organic and local and sustainable and community. But the proof of the pudding is whether they rip people off. And boy, this place takes the top prize. It is situated in a deprived area, so I have no idea how the locals are paying these prices. The shop sells very little, actually it is really a pathetic offering. But my God, the prices! I had a slice of quiche. I was asked to pay £4.50 for it. It was a soggy piece of quiche which was leaking liquid from the vegetables they put in it. So much so that it dribbled when lifted up. That price is double the price of the WHOLE quiches one can get at the supermarkets - Tesco's Quiche Lorraine is £2.50, Sainsbury's Mushroom and Cheddar Quiche is £3.00. And these people charged £4.50 for a SINGLE slice of soggy take-out. Dog biscuits. I bought a bag of dog biscuits for £4.20. I have just been to the manufacturer's website and seen that it is selling for £2.00. Over Christmas, I had a mince pie for the price of a whole box of Waitrose mince pies that I later purchased. Even the plants outside are horribly overpriced. Why do I go back? Because I am an idiot who succumbs to the desire to support a local enterprise. But I am sick of it, and I am writing this review so that others are warned, and the people running the cafe will change their ways. I am really disappointed in them for exploiting the goodwill and money of people who work hard for a living.

We called by December 2022 to buy a Christmas wreath and picked up very nice takeaway coffees. We called in today for a late breakfast. I ordered a small Welsh breakfast, amazing value for money. Nicest sausage and bacon that I have tasted for a good while. Egg cooked perfectly. My husband had a large vegetarian breakfast, which he really enjoyed. Again, the coffee was great. The staff were lovely and friendly. They sell a lot of locally produced food. On the way out, I bought a sourdough loaf, which I am looking forward to trying. We won't leave it so long for our next visit.

Visited on a Sunday for lunch after taking my son to the park. Arrived at 2.15 an hour and 45 minutes before advertised closing time and took a seat. We were told by the waiter that they had stopped serving hot food but there were pies and sandwiches available which although a little early wasnt a big problem. However when my wife went to order at the counter a disgruntled voice shouted from the kitchen that they weren't doing any food at all now, much to the embarrassment of the front of house staff. We immediately left; hungry and upset.

Been here a few times lately, often for coffee and cake but also for a breakfast. Indoor and outdoor seating, family and doggy friendly, toilet facilities on site but it is a composting toilet so a bit of a different experience. Absolutely love getting coffee and cake here, wonderful cake selection which changes all the time and coffee is good. Had a small breakfast yesterday which was perfect, can’t fault it and very reasonable pricing. Staff are nice, friendly and helpful. Added bonus of fresh produce available to purchase, vegetables look beautiful. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a hidden gem for me with location, pricing and quality that keep me going back.

We love Blas Lôn Las! We discovered it during lockdown while exploring the Lôn Las Ogwen footpath on one of our many walks. Of course it wasn't open then but we clocked it and came back as soon as we could! The food is great, the coffee is great, and the farm shop has some lovely things. We got their veg box at Christmas and it was perfect - everything you could want in sensible portions so there was no waste. They often have craft fairs and events linked to the donkey sanctuary next door and, with the footpath alongside it, you can turn it into a whole day out. Highly recommend a visit!

What a fantastic gem hidden away in north Wales! We booked a 2hr donkeys walk through Airbnb and it has been one of the standout things of our holiday for my two boys! They loved looking after and grooming them donkeys and then lead them on a lovely walk though the countryside with Chris. Chris took the time to talk to us about the countryside and plants/animals we came across. Just all round a great experience where we were made to feel very welcome by both the volunteers and donkeys!

Oh my goodness, this place is well worth a visit. We stopped for breakfast this morning and it was sincerely one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. The bacon was delicious as was the seeded bread, the tomato, mushrooms and eggs tasted incredibly fresh, the sausage was delightful and the beans were served in their own pot. The shop was superb, we bought lots of lovely fresh vegetables grown on the allotment. We will most definitely visit again and would without doubt recommend it to everyone. My Elderly parents took me out for a lunch break to this hidden gem of a cafe. Right on the Tregarth 'Sustrans' bike path I could foresee this being a welcome stop for many cyclists. It's plates of food were huge, locally sourced and handmade made quiche and pies etc. Having just come back from expensive Cornwall where all meals were £12 plus, our main meals were about £6 to £8 each, brilliant. The two ladies behind the counter were very chatty and friendly and the relaxed atmosphere was conducive to conversation. Outside seating was useful as was the screened off benches meaning we had a sun trap. Only negative were the loos. Though clean and hygienic, they were 'soak' type (see photo) meaning they had an interesting odour. They are obviously keeping the sysyem eco friendly and are just fine, but having them removed from the main building was a good idea. Didn't put me off wanting to go back with my wife asap. Also a shop selling organic produce and fresh breads

I've lived in Bangor until recently and often walked to the cafe and shop, though there's parking on site too. The food is lovely, well presented and fresh. There's always a good selection of cakes and other treats to be had. The volunteers/staff are lovely and it's such a nice place to sit either inside or indeed outside. Even in the rain there are some covered spots to sit and some big brollies to shelter the picnic tables completely and still enjoy the great outdoors. A great spot for a walk before or after a bite to eat, or indeed picking up some organic groceries in the little shop. I'll miss my visits there now that I've moved far away :(

Moelyci Environmental Centre is an amazing place. Ive been visiting the site for years but am just beginning to realise what a gem it is. Since the introduction of sustainable management the land has begun to breathe again after so many years of close grazing the biodiversity is amazing, and there are some truly magical places. Theres usually something going on to get involved gardening work, workshops, yoga or just hanging out and having a cuppa. ps I'm not getting paid to say this!
