Very friendly service, the best in Barmouth. Very reasonably priced and the food is great. A gem of a place tucked out of the way along the promenade away from the busy town centre. Plenty of room for larger groups. Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Barmouth.

Food was well cooked and tasted good. Went for the fish and chips. The guy working behind the till was very friendly and personable, as a customer you are made to feel extremely welcome. Table service was great. It is nice to visit a family run business and to pump money into the local economy. Fantastic location. Great view of the beach/ sea/ sunset. Only complaint: The smoke alarm battery was running low and the alarm was beeping the whole time. This really ruins the atmosphere. I chose to eat inside because there were two dogs outside who were barking continuously, hence I was able to hear the smoke alarm. I want to make clear, the presence of barking dogs is not the fault of the restaurant - but rather the owners of dogs who tolerate such bad behaviour and ruin the atmosphere for everyone else. If you have a dog that barks, kindly go away and have your food delivered to where you are staying - or, learn how to moderate the behaviour of your dog.

Wonderful place to eat a must visit small but lovely. Food is great and service was fabulous.

The Promenade Café and Wine Bar is as good as ever. If you want a good pizza and glass of wine this is the place. I recommend takeaway and sit on the sea wall watching the waves and the sunset.

Called in for some lunch with our doggies and sat outside. My partner made the order inside where he said it felt a little awkward and chaotic but friendly enough. Food arrived quickly and looked yummy although we both noted how neither of our meals had the peas and coleslaw as stated on the menu, this was confirmed as it was read back out to my partner when ordering. We tucked in and chose not to question as we didn't want to cause a fuss. Shortly after, our new rescue doggie became a little unsettled and began barking, as I'm sure you can imagine we were worried the barking would upset others enjoying the area and did our best to help him settle and followed the instructions given by our trainer..he settled with a few barks here and there. When he let out a few barks during our a meal , an employee took it upon themselves to walk over to our dog and ask what was going on (to one of our dogs, not us) which made our dog then bark at the stranger who approached him in a irate manor. The employee then continued to make it worse as he waved his hands around and said NO to our as our dog as he barked at him. Once the employee finally realised he was causing our dog to bark he stepped away, only to look at our dog from a distance. This further unsettled our new rescue dog who is trying to make new positive experiences in life and completely went against the training we have been doing. I only question why an employee would find it appropriate to abruptly walk over to someone's unsettled dog when they are clearly giving instructions to them. Additionally to go close to their dog and give their own different instructions during their meal and to not speak to the humans at all. We quickly ate the remainder of our meal, when the employee approached again to collect our plates (while we still had our mouths full) and created small talk and apologised for not asking how our day was, not for the incident with our dogs. Our dogs sat quietly, and then scuttled away with what felt like eyes burning in the back of us.

Brilliant. A great reception from the staff, the manager is a funny guy. Food is spot on and a welcome change to standard styles (I believe owners are Turkish). Small amount of free parking and they let us stay whilst at the beach. Clean. Well cooked food. Definitely will come again and recommend.

Used the cafe to have a pizza upon recommendation of the adjacent campsite. It was quite late so no real expectations and we sat outside with our bikes. Turkish owner and assistant very friendly and definitely characters that made the visit interesting. I wouldn’t make it an evening meal venue but take it for what it is. Job done and I will forgive the slightly burn pizza base!!!!

Called here after walking our 2 dogs. This is a dog friendly place where the dogs were even treated very well by the staff. Food is good value. We were so happy with the food and service that we called back another 2 times over our weeks holiday.

Got an all day breakfast at 8 one evening, magic, loved it. Great service from a right character 🤣. Reasonable price of £8.45 including a Pepsi.

We stopped here on the off chance as never really been so far down the beach. We are so glad we did. Great friendly cafe. The owners were so kind and nothing was too much bother. Friendly welcome. Basic but good menu all freshly cooked and delivered with chat and a smile. Lovely view from the cafe. Great value compared to a lot of places in Barmouth. Definitely worth the walk down to the end of the prom.

£3.50 for a can of carling says it all. Owners was rude. So much potential however owner would rather defend his prices by saying go down town.

Out of the town at the north end of the promenade this place doesn’t look much and you’d be forgiven for passing it by. Enter however and you’ll be given a very warm welcome by the Turkish owner. Try the mezze, it’s great.

Went with the kids and ordered 4 milkshakes. The kids barely touched theirs, seemed like the milkshake was mainly just milk. Strawberry milkshake that was white! Owner claims made with real ice cream, no chance. Very poor.

How wrong can a bacon sandwich get? Way overpriced for cheap bleached bread, baking margarine when we were asked it we wanted butter, and see through bacon. Inedible. On the upside the pot of tea was lovely.

Popped in here to ask if they did anything to eat that was gluten free. The person behind the counter just laughed and said no. Almost every cafe can offer something. I’m coeliac you see. Looked at the ice creams in the freezer for a gluten free one. Noticed the labelling said ‘not to be sold individually’ Part of a multi pack obviously. I would never go back there again.

This establishment made our holiday as we didn't need to head into town seeing as this place is at the other end of the promenade so no need for the long walk on lazy nights into town. First impressions of this place from outside are questionable it would seem you are about to enter a blue painted hut but on entering you are met by the guy who owns the place and your experience begins. Perhaps its because I have the same sense of humour but this guy makes you feel completely at ease joking with you as soon as you enter, running himself down as well as his wife in jest. At one point he came over to my table and tried to turn my plate round for me as he thought (and was quite right) it would make it easier for me to eat my chicken lol. It is as if you have known this small Turkish guy all your life. The food is very reasonably priced and plentiful and I believe there is a fine wine list although I do not drink it myself. The tables are set out nicely with a television up on the wall as well should you wish to watch. The windows provide entertainment as at high tide you can see the waves crahing and rising into the air. When paying for your meal always expect to be charged £100 yes it was always £100 with this owner obviously in jest. A great experience, just loved it there and would have eaten there every night if not wanting to try out other places within the town. If you loved Fawlty Towers you will love this place without the mistakes of course.

We ate here twice during our visit to Barmouth. The owners are a lovely couple and their service was very good, very personal and they made us feel welcome. Food was very nice, lot's of choice, cooked freshly to order. We will return here in the future for sure.

The place is great! decent priced and to note the bloke that is there can have a bit of hard hearing, but please just be understanding if he does raise his voice a bit, just relax, he doesnt mean to sound like he is shouting. but all above, it's worth a try, also to add that if you have a dog, please respect and only have the dog outside due to issues, there is fresh water in a bowl outside.

Run by a Turkish family this little café has good seating indoors and outdoors. There's a toilet inside which is very handy as there are no public toilets nearby. But please note it is for customer use only. We had the authentic Turkish coffee there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Went for evening meal. Food was ok, Not great but very cafe style. Had to wait over an hour despite being the second table to order out of 3. When asked about food (waited an hour at this point), recieved a sarcastic response, "what, do you have to catch a train or something?". Genuinely seemed put out by the question. Allows dogs. No access to toilets. No disabled access.

Quirky little place, a little dated, but perfect for that nostalgic traditional British seaside holiday feel. The owner was very friendly and attentive, and he was able to provide a vegan cooked breakfast. Some interesting outdoor decor, that made us smile.

Ordered two lattes for £4 unfortunately didn't see them make it but all I could taste was dirty boiler, water and sachet powder. Definitely not a latte. Toilet had no tissue and was grimey, I opened the door with my foot as I left even though my hands were dirtier after washing. One star for the newt we found outside.
