We were not made welcome here. Bar reasonably full of people all chatting on arrival, a lot changed to speaking Welsh as it was obvious we were a) tourists, b) english and c) female. Like something out of a film really & I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't happened. Avoid unless you are local - go to the Tarfan Tryfan down the road where a warm welcome was given.

We stayed at Owgen Bank lodges near by, we decided to have a drink in The Bill on the way down to Owgen Bank and the Landlord Keith was lovely, really welcoming and helpful about where to eat/where to drink. We decided to return to The Bull later at night and had a great night again very friendly and the the most lively pub in Bethesda. We will defo return if we’re in the area again 👍🏼

Very friendly and welcoming. Keith is a fantastic host. Tourists are welcome and you won't get a bad drink. Lovely outside area if the Welsh weather holds off. Bendigedig. Diolch cariad #dimpysgod

Vised here on my birthday for a few drinks, when we arrived the staff at the bar were so rude and made us feel so uncomfortable, giving us looks and speaking to us terribly while getting served. Would not visit this place again. We got ID’d even though some of us were getting soft drinks and yet there’s kids in here. Awful.

I called in here whilst walking the Snowdonia Way and asked about food. The landlord said he didn't do food.. I asked if there was anywhere local that did, and he said no, nowhere in Bethesda did food on a Tuesday evening except the takeaway kebab place, almost opposite. A few yards further along the road I found Y Llangollen, a quite excellent restaurant (qv). The landlord must have been perfectly well aware of its existence but chose to pretend it wasn't there.

A proper village pub, it is one of my favourites in Bethesda, and I always get a good Welcome from Glyn, the landlord. It is usually filled with locals who are good to have a chat with and are very friendly. The prices are very good as well, I pay £2.70 for a pint of Worthingtons. Well done

Visited Caffi Siop Fawr just last week, looking forward to their bacon roll with fabulous bacon jam. But, sadly, no longer on the menu, so we ordered two breakfasts instead. Wow! What a treat! This wa
