Not eaten here as was waiting for the train

Absolute brilliant pub. Pool, darts, juke box, quality cold pints and a superb atmosphere. Sadly had to catch the last train home or would have stayed all night. A proper boozer that you must visit.

On arriving at the station after our walk back I commented how great it would be to have a pub here and low and behold there was it was like my fairy godmother had given me a pub hahahaha great service nice garden to sit in while waiting for the train

Never again came in to buy a beer before the train, stood for nearly 10 minutes to get served while other people in the bar just came up and got served before me Mentioned to the barman who ignored me so left without buying anything Not good for a place trying to attract tourism or perhaps not, who knows

Great place to enjoy a beer while waiting for your train, they sell Purple Moose ales which are brewed in the town. Relaxed vibe, the station in is used not only by travellers but also by the locals. There is a pool table and dart board, there are toilets for customers.

Popped in to the Station Inn Cafe whilst waiting for the train. Immaculately clean and a warm welcome. Good variety of drinks and snack available at reasonable prices. The Bakewell slice is enormous and the Barabrith was very tasty and moist. Well worth a visit even if you are not there for the trains. Also opens in the evening as a pub so check it out day or night.

Friendly, helpful, proper Welsh, good beer, good cafe grub from next door. Diolch.

THE pub in Porthmadog to watch the football. Locals are really friendly and the staff are great and very accommodating. I wanted to watch the football which clashed with a Wales rugby game at the same time. The staff put the football on one TV for me and kept the rugby on the rest of the pub. Everyone was great. I'll return here to watch the football every time I visit Porthmadog.

Beer is always well kept, so it is always a good pint.

In my most recent trip, I had a problem with the staff's degree of friendliness. Sadly, it appears that the staff personnel I spoke with lacked the friendliness and welcome attitude that one might anticipate in a service-oriented setting. This factor did have a discernible effect on the environment as a whole and my perception of the business. A more personable and welcoming personnel, in my opinion, would substantially improve the general customer experience.

Used this while waiting to go on a steam trip. Plenty of food variety, hot and cold, all cooked fresh. Nice tables outside on platform or eat inside. Excellent prices. Can be used independently of going on train trips.

A group of 4 of us visited the station Inn easter Sunday even though the pub was very busy we found a place to sit the staff were very friendly and the service was fast good selection of beers we liked the place so much we went back the following night Good beers at a good price will call in again

Called in on the off chance they were showing football. They were and gave my wife and I the choice of game. Frendly locals and staff and great beer. Highly recommend calling in to the inn.

Everyone here speaks Welsh, so don't be surprised if you're the only one not understanding what's going on. Also, spontaneous karaoke and darts tournaments may break out while you're there. They were not serving food of any kind while I was there; it was drinks only. They didn't like people bringing in food from outside, though. Beer selection is what you'd expect; two taps of Fosters, three kinds of Carling, a few ciders, and other decent stuff. Great cheap place to get a drink while waiting for a train or staying trackside for the night.

Stopping in a campsite for 5 nights we decided to travel to Porthmadog we decided to stop and have a pint turned into 3 of the 700. Lovely place bang at the side of the train station. Sat outside again a lovely little area. Yeah definitely worth a visit.

Lovely pub hidden away at the end of Porthmadog, right by the station. Great views over the estuary sitting outside, with the occasional steam train going by. Great barman as well!

Good couple of real ales. Well kept and interesting. No real cider. Obviously a mix of locals and visitors.

Friendly staff, a wide selection of beer at a reasonable price. Pool table, Dartboard, Sky Sports and a juke box. What more do you need

Pub adjacent to the platform at Porthmadog Station. Handy refuge as it's some walk from the Town Centre, where there are many more facilities.

Not been here since BC (before covid) and I am pleased to report that not only have they got a good selection of real ales they have lagers and ciders to suit any taste. Happy to see that this is still a great unspoiled pub!

We stopped off in Porthmadog as a base for completing the Snowdon Horseshoe as part of a challenge, raising money for the Prince's Trust. The Station Inn offered us a traditional pub environment with a great selection of beers and to top it off the landlord and landlady as well as other patrons donated to our cause. would definitely come back

Fantastic place and our jossie and family brilliant as always.

Enjoyed a nice meal and a pint, sitting out in the sun on the platform, watching the steam trains, good food and service and reasonable

We went in here as the kids loved the trains but we should have only had a drink, they were charging restaurant prices for poor quality food, the pizza's were the frozen type over cooked on one side and the other meals were along a similar vein, no one in our party of 10 had a good thing to say about the food.

The beer is great with a good selection but it has the feel of a working mens club & TBH if your not a local you get eyeballed. It's a shame because it has a lot of potential.

Had about an hour to kill before the arrival of our train South, so was pleasantly surprised to find this homely little pub right on the station platform, Purchased our drinks, (lovely pint of Guinness!) and sat outside in the lovely little garden behind the station, Very friendly staff.

Called in on a cold, wet evening and were pleased with the welcome we received. Nice choice of ales and wine served from individual bottles, NOT from large bottles which have been opened days before! Great to see. Olde-worlde charming place to sit.

Visited during sale got an absolute bargain! Helpful staff👍highly recommended

Nice bar on the mainline station at Porthmadog selling three real ales, one local. Very handy when waiting for a train.

Popped in for a pint of Guiness... it was warm and tasted horrible. My son had a pint of bitter... again this was warm and tasted rancid. Left without drinking. I suggest the tubes and pipes need cleaning and rinsing properly.. we wont return.

What a wonderful friendly and welcoming pub, it doesn't look like a pub at all but an excellent welcome, treats for the dog and a friendly barmaid who gave my dog some ham from her sandwich. We'll definitely be back !

My wife and I called at The Station Inn while exploring Porthmadog. There are two bar rooms and you go onto the platform and back in to move from one to the other. There are a lot of cask beers here, plus one one keg (a local Purple Moose). The mostly male clientele seem like a family, effing and blinding to a football match shown on big screen TVs. The effing did not moderate when a woman / my wife was present. We probably won’t call here again.

Had lunch here whilst enjoying a ride on the railway. It was very good and served within a reasonable timescale bearing in mind it was quite busy. A good choice of menu.
