Carini's in Rhondda Cynon Taf

We have eaten here on a number of occasions and usually enjoy a sit down meal in the cafe, which is always very clean, popular and welll staffed. Due to the current situation we ordered a take out. We ordered a large sausage in batter with chips, a chip buttie with gravy and a chicken and mushroom pie with chips. The person who served us provided a prompt service with a smile and ensured that we kept to the 2 meter distance rule and wore our masks. The food was great value for money and the portion sizes were excellent.We decided to eat our food on a bench at Pontypridd Common. In the warmer months this is a great place for a picnic or chippy dinner and there are amazing views over Pontypridd. The food tasted great and was nicely presented. We will definitely be returning to Carini's, because this is one of our favourite fish shops offering quality food at great prices.

Went to pontypridd for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the choice of shops, market and lovely fish shop we came across. The staff were warm and friendly and the fish shop offered the usual chip shop favourites. The food was cooked to order and the portion sizes were great. Would definitely recommend a visit.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from the staff.and throughout our visit they couldn't do enough for us The food was cooked fresh and the service was promt. The restaurant area was immaculate and the prices were reasonable. This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Fish and chips dry customer service terrible young girl just wanted to talk to the young lad then work I won’t go there agains it gone down hill and what put us off the most no customer please or thank you just shocking meal

Popped in for lunch after a swim. What's better than a dip followed by freshly cooked real chips and mushy peas?? Very friendly staff, good portions not too huge and decent prices....perfect for what it is!

Always go here from my regular break at work and food is always tasty as anything chips are perfectly cooked and also the fish will definitely not stop going here and will be trying different items on the menu

Awful service, big on attitude and obviously wanted to do anything else but work or serve customers.

Food was great. Both had big breakfast with a cup of coffee cannot fault it. Portion sizes were good and all components of the breakfast were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning for more. Highly recommend the breakfast! More than satisfied customers 👍👍

Lovely little chippy right in the centre of town, the staff are friendly and the service is quick....and the food is always delicious.

My mum and I always use this fish bar been doing so for many years worked in the market lunch time always went there to meals outstanding the girls always lovely best chips in town especially the gravy never found them rude

Went in this cafe for lunch and the customer service was terrible. There was a dark head young slim girl in particular who was very rude spoke to customers soon as we walked in we could tel she didn’t want to serve us. Also there was a young girl working there and the way the dark head girl spoke to her was absolutely disgusting. Food is lovely but I felt very uncomfortable sitting there and did not feel welcome at all. Won’t be going back!!

Myself, son and daughter in law took my grandchildren and 2 friends to the park today. We came here for lunch beforehand . Very clean. Staff very friendly. Busy but not too hectic. Food was delicious . Kids meals generous but not too much on the plate to put them off. Definatly recommend .

Estoy muy decepcionado con este café de mercado! Pedí una ensalada de jamón y un rollo de atún baguette. Ambos vinieron y ambas eran de atún, como mi marido odia el atún, me lo tomé de atrás, sólo para ser llamado mentiroso y se negaron a cambiar, ya había pagado, no había mucho que pudiera hacer, pero no vamos allí, y he sido un cliente habitual por años! Por el mero hecho de menos de una libra, que habría costado a sustituir, fue muy mal servicio! Fuimos al otro lado de la calle Princes y recibimos lo que pedimos

He visitado este restaurante a la hora del almuerzo con mi esposa. . El personal era muy amable y nos dio la bienvenida mientras nos sentamos. El lugar estaba muy limpio y la comida era increíble. Me pareció que estaba bien de precio también. .

First impressions nice and clean. Always a must in a food place. Served quickly, we all ordered the mince pie, chips with Irish curry. Absolutely delicious fair play. Can't fault them here. Thank you. 5* from us

Recomiendo encarecidamente Carini en Market Street opciones, calidad de la comida es muy buena, buena, y siempre nos tienen su fruta curry y patatas fritas - cada vez - personal Magnífica es amable y servicial. Bastante barato para una comida muy buena mientras estás en la ciudad. Hay un número limitado de asientos, así que cuando esté lleno puede llevar o sentarse, no hay cliente de inodoro para eso tienes que ir a el mercado detrás de carini, donde hay un cargo de 20 p a usar sus instalaciones - un poco sorprendido, pero es lo que es.

Excellent fich and chips served by very helpful staff. The food is of a high standard and staff are always eager to please their customers. Should not be missed if you are visiting Pontypridd.

Espere 20 minutos para tocino y salchichas de rodillo y luego me dijeron que no puedo comer porque no nos habíamos sentado antes de pedir jaja! Servicio de atención al cliente, el poco chocante con el bloc de notas mujer necesita mejoras en sus habilidades de atención al cliente. La señora detrás del mostrador era preciosa, aunque, de crédito.

Get what you expect. Good cafe food. Quick service and superb friendly girls for service. Price was ok. Coffee strong. Nice corned beef pie. Adequate seating

What more can i say. They provide a very nice, tasty breakfast. Good eggs with a proper runny yolk & the wite also cooked properly, it can be hard to find a good fried egg sometimes but here 'twas perfect. Love the tasty sausages too. Service is swift & polite so well done ladies & thank you.

This place is usually very busy and you're lucky to get a table. We called there on a quiet day and were lucky to have breakfast. It was very enjoyable and will go there again. The staff were friendly and efficient.

No frills but nice people selling chip shop fare (and breakfasts, jacket potatoes, etc) in a nice little cafe.It's the kind of place that doesn't need a review, but it's low in the listings as a result and is ten times better than a spoons pub.I eat here happily quite often.

We eat at Carini's regularly, and have always enjoyed our meals. The standard of the food is quite high and good value. The menu is extensive, and you can get smaller portions. The café is always clean and the tables cleared quickly, as they are always very busy. The staff are courteous and helpful.

Called in on Sat 2nd Aug for breakfast, for breakfast. The waitresses/cook obviously don't understand the concept of two people eating together because they brought my sausage sandwich (which was cold) 10 mins before they brought my husbands breakfast. Different dishes admittedly however if you're going to serve food, you need to get your timings right so that both plates go out at the same time. Don't bother paying for a latte either as it had been watered down
