We went to La Luna for my husbands 30th birthday meal, and it did not disappoint. We had a large group of 20, so it was suggested that we pre order and that we all pay on one card for food, and drinks payed for at the bar. This worked out brilliantly, and was so much easier! The food was amazing, everyone was very happy and the quality did not suffer with us being a large group. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, there to help with anything and everything. They even brought a sparkler candle in his cake! A wonderful experience and we will all be back. Thank you!!

Went there for mother's day had the rare beef that we couldn't even cut, the vegetables were hard and cold. We had a little pot of gravy and 2 turines of vegetables between 8 people. The staff were coming to our table every 5 minutes to check if we wanted drinks so couldn't enoy ourselves as we had to answer them all the time, the manager wasn't the most approachable person either definitely won't be going back there

Called ahead asked if wheelchair accessible they said yes. So there’s a Ramp access-steep but doable if got help from someone however then it is a step up after this so you will need help in. Grateful for effort of hill but defo should mention the lift in step bit incase it’s just wheelchair users who cannot walk or don’t have help. Decor was beautiful inside and outside heat lamps. Food was ok enjoyed starter and dessert. I wanted my steak medium rare and got asked by the waiter if I’ve had that steak medium rare before? When ordering.Strange. Defo recommend for the steak to come with the sauce on the side instead to not ruin steak flavours and having a steak knife ready before or on the plate as so not waiting to find a waiter available to ask for one. Girls waitressing were lovely there. Arrived late because of accessible taxis letting us down called restaurant and accommodated

We have just visited La Luna again for lunch. I cannot praise this restaurant enough. The staff are superb, so friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely excellent. I have visited several times recently and that in itself poses a problem as I have enjoyed everything which makes it difficult to decide what to have. The lunch menu is superb and really good value for money so much so that I’ve already another two dates booked. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and the 3 hours free parking in the retail park is an added bonus. Can’t wait for my next lunch.

A group of 4 of us visited La Luna for Sunday lunch and I can hands down say it was one of the best Sunday dinners I've had to date. The choice of starters, mains and desserts were varied and catered to everyone, with the presentation and quality being outstanding. The only negative factor would be how slow the service was when visiting. It may be different on other days and times of the week, but we found the service rather slow during our booking. Waited around 10-15 minutes for our drinks to initially arrive and a long time after that for the starters to come out. Other than that, our experience was good. Lovely, friendly servers and a great atmosphere. We will be back again for sure.

We travelled over an hour to visit la luna after hearing nothing but good things for my partners birthday, but we were left very disappointed with most aspects of our visit and booking experience! I had to ring the business to confirm the booking had actually been made after booking online because we were a party of 6 i had to request a table as deposit was required. When we arrived we had a drink upstairs which was the best part of the whole night, very good vibes! I had checked in downstairs and was told we would be collected when our table was ready, I then had to go double check 15 minutes after our booking time what was happening and our table was there ready but we had been left. Food was ok, but nothing special. Lots of staff standing around not doing much which was strange for the size of venue. When our bill came I had a question about the deposit as 2 of our party had to cancel due to a family emergency and their deposit was missing from the bill, I had contacted the business hours prior to let them know they would not be attending so any adjustments could be made to the seating plan for the night. Unfortunately the host/manageress was very unhelpful and I felt like she couldn’t be bothered to speak to me about this and was very dismissive. The only thing she said was there was a 48 hour requirement to cancel any person off the booking. After getting back home I checked their website and went through all emails between us and there was no mention of this on any. I have tried to contact the business Facebook page to discuss this matter further but sadly have been again been completely ignored as I can see they have seen the message! We will definitely not be returning or recommending this business which is a shame.

I have visited here a few times before and had much better experiences, but unfortunately, this visit fell short. My partner and I had booked a table for 6:00 pm, but it wasn’t ready when we arrived (we were 10 minutes early, so we understood these things happen and that wasn't too much of an issue). We were directed upstairs to the gin bar to wait and were offered a table there. However, the seating wasn’t suitable due to the bar stool-style chairs, which my partner cannot use comfortably due to nerve issues stemming from a back operation. After waiting around 30 minutes, we were eventually seated downstairs in the restaurant. However, we weren’t shown to our table; it was simply pointed out to us, leaving us standing awkwardly by the bar for a few minutes. When we ordered drinks, they didn’t arrive until we followed up as our starters were being served. The food itself was very good, but unfortunately, we never got to the dessert as the menu wasn’t brought to us despite being asked if we wanted to see it. After waiting too long, we decided to skip dessert and requested the bill. To our disappointment, we were charged for all three courses from the £35 menu, even though we only had two but just paid as we just wanted to leave by this point. In summary, while the food was excellent, the service left a lot to be desired.

Visited here for sunday lunch and weren’t disappointed! Their Sunday menu is different to places I’ve been to before & I liked the variety of starters and desserts. Bao buns to start were really soft and fluffy and full of flavour! The beef for main was cooked to perfection, everything had so much flavour! The dessert was also different to what I’ve seen on a menu before and was really good. The wine list was also decent and the service was great, will definitely be returning!

Original book a table for tapus at 6pm, called 2 days before and asked for it to be moved to 7pm which was confirmed that was ok. When we arrived we was told we was late, our booking had clearly not been updated. We had no table so we were put out in the smoking area it was freezing as we are in December, there was heaters but didn’t do a lot. When I asked to be moved inside as this is not what we booked I was told they would have to move tables around but they couldn’t as we would be 2 tables that they needed and would lose other customers. So I asked when a table becomes available inside for us to be moved, this did not happened when we decided to leave there was tables inside but no one come to move us. I ordered a drink at the bar was told they would bring it to our table, 25 mins and having to asked 2 members of staff I finally got my drink. Some of our food didn’t come, when we called a waited to ask about it, he said are you sure you ordered it, to which we replied please make sure it’s taken off our bill. Very disappointing as it’s a lovely venue but the management/staff are very unorganised.

Was really looking forward to trying this place for my birthday after hearing good things but I was left slightly disappointed. We were a large group and they were very accommodating when numbers changed but we were placed over two separate tables which limited our groups interactions. The food was ok, I wasn’t blown away but was happy enough with it. The service is what was really lacking for me. Plenty of staff milling about but never really checking in on the table. For a large group I thought it was a little poor, glasses were left empty, no table water offered, and we were having to leave the table to get drinks at the bar or attempt to flag staff down when passing while they seemed oblivious to customers attempting to get their attention. I wouldn’t be in a rush to return which is a shame.

Love this place. Love the set up too. The food is outstanding and the cocktails to die for. However the service is shocking. The kids behind the bar don’t know what their doing and taking way to long to bring the drinks to room. Waited an hour just for water! I believe if they have a lot more training and maybe extend the bar or even have a second bar amongst the rooms to serve the private rooms that might work but it’s just chaos and a lot of the staff didn’t have a clue. Which unfortunately brought down the experience for us. If can train the staff your on a winner!

This place doesn’t even deserve a star. Went on a saturday night as a big party, given it was busy as expected and we were more than patient and understanding of this. Our table was booked for 8.30, we arrived a little earlier to get a drink too. I wish we didn’t bother! Over a 40 minute wait for drinks despite being told “i’ll be there now”. When cocktails did arrive it was nothing but juice and for the price i expected better. Staff with nothing but rude the whole night. the dirty looks given to us from young girls really doesn’t make you feel comfortable especially when your out to enjoy yourself. When we finally sat down for food an hour later, we got placed in a back room as if they didn’t care and we hadn’t booked over a month in advance (which we did!). Didn’t get the chance for starters as sat so late, most of us went for Steaks and they were disgusting, asked for medium rare and it was well done. tasted of pure charcoal and as for the chips i might as well of drunk sea water by the way they were drenched in salt. Despite telling the staff how we were disappointed with the food they just didn’t care. We asked for the bill and got told “no worries”, we had to ask a further 3 times and still didn’t get the bill and had to go downstairs to pay. We went to the manager who spoke to everyone like dirt, They refused to take our deposits to begin with but eventually got there. i will never ever return to this place again! for a supposed “high end” place, i would of been better going to the local kebab shop.

What an absolute waste of money , visited here waited over an hour to be seated at a table even though we had one booked 40 minutes just for some drinks we had ordered to come , I have never met more rude staff the way they spoke to us was disgusting, we didn’t have starters because they sat us down way too late , steak for main and it was like charcoal , ordered it medium rare it came well done no one came around to ask how the food was only until we had finished , I didn’t eat the steak on my plate as physically couldn’t I did tell the lady when clearing the plates and her attitude was “well what do you want me to do about it” we was all so disappointed by the service and food we just wanted the bill which can I add took another half an hour , we had all paid deposits and they tried not taking the deposits off our bill , I can honestly say I will never be returning here ever again.

Review of the tapas bar only. We booked to come here to celebrate our engagement. When we got there we were put outside in the smoking area - in November. When I asked if we could be moved inside to somewhere warmer I was told there was a private event on so couldn't be moved - so why was my booking accepted if there was no room?? The manager told me that there was a heater outside so if I didn't like it there was nothing he could do. We didn't stay. The customer service by the man behind the bar was fine. The managers customer service was awful. I would not recommend coming here based on that.

It was our wedding anniversary and we were planning on going somewhere else had the table booked, a friend highly recommended La Luna, So I called to see if there was any availability and there was. When we arrived a little early (10mins) and was advised to sit in the lounge upstairs, we wasn’t waiting long. We chose the three course, even though the restaurant was very busy, the wait times were minimal. The food was absolutely amazing, we both loved everything that was served, the staff were friendly and courteous. We both highly recommend La Luna and will be returning for the steak and date night. Thank you La Luna we had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at your restaurant.

After seeing this place recommended online we decided to try it out. Starters were lovely we had the crispy beef and Bau buns. We then had the chateaubriand sharer. They allowed us to swap the mac and cheese for extra chips. The food came out in good time and was delicious. Extra props to the staff as we had our young child with us and they asked if we would like his food as soon as possible or to wait for mains. Service was 10/10 did not wait for nothing but they also did not pester you. Will be back :)

La Luna - what an experience! AN ABSOLUTE MUST VISIT!! Staff were so accommodating and considerate, genuinely amazing to see such lovely staff looked after so well, so happy which was a pleasure. Management went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after and accommodated our needs, giving advice and guidance since we had travelled to stay at a nearby spa. Food was incredible, served so quickly and such attention to detail - incredibly well priced for the quality. The fish cocktail did not disappoint, to be honest we expected a prawn cocktail and wow! Crab meat, salmon, prawns and fresh salad with amazing bread to accompany. The steak was so much bigger than expected, incredibly well cooked and the accompanying fried onions with tomato ragu was such a treat, completely unexpected for this to stand out so much. As for the desert, baileys tiramisu… need I say more, we needed to leave due to transport home and the staff were able to put this in takeaway boxes for us which was so incredibly kind. Outstanding! The passion fruit martinis were to die for, so tasty and the best quality I’ve ever had if I dare say, a stand out! 8 cocktails for £60 with the cocktail tree saved us a lot of money than buying them separately, we were so impressed considering the quality of them, definitely not a premix cocktail! Atmosphere was so lovely, a home away from home. Decorated immaculately, songs were lovely and soothing, gorgeous fish that were well taken care of. Overall, such a lovely experience - can’t wait to return and try their gorgeous day menu or tapas, everything looks incredible and it was such a special experience honestly definitely not a restaurant to miss, if you ever get the opportunity to stop by please ensure you do!

La Delusional. Served and dined within 30 mins. We were recommended by our family that this place is one of the best places to dine but how wrong they were. I wouldn’t even wish this on my worst enemy… wethere to say our table was cancelled when a girl had rung us in the day to confirm our attendance. The owner was sheepish and avoided their mistakes, leaving the male manager to rectify them. We were given someone else’s table and told us that we needed to eat our courses within 1 hr 15 mins… wish we had left it then and there and gone to Nando’s. Steak wasn’t impressive and the atmosphere was shambolic. They sat us on the table directly facing the kitchen, so if you’re one of the unlucky ones, wear light clothing. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely go spend your money elsewhere. The best part was the aquarium…

A really mixed bag on all aspects. Was seated quickly at time of booking, Wednesday evening, not fully packed. A nice environment. The Chateaux Briand steak deal is £80 for a mixed sharing platter. We asked about the size of the steak, my partner and I agreed anything less than 24oz for that price and 2 people isn't worth it. The manager (assumed) came to take order, again I queried the size of the steak, he says maybe 17/18oz... For that value I'd say that's a single portion, first instinct is the prices of steaks is very bad value for money. I asked if there's any flexibility in increasing the 6oz steak on the 3 course deal menu, I was met with a flat response of no. Starters; fish cakes and crispy beef. Both were fantastic, really couldnt fault it. Fair portions for value. Mains; x2 6oz Sirloin steaks. They were both cooked reasonably, rare and medium, but... I've had better steaks in Wetherspoons for £4. I could taste the griddle pan more than the meat. I've had a lot of good steaks, and for the price of those on their menu, I'd be furious. Chips, good, Cauliflower and cheese was not bad. Deserts; Baked Cheesecake and Tiramisu, both lovely if a bit small. Cocktails were brilliant, Moretti on tap quite nice. However, I can still taste their grill pan even once home. Service by waitesses was great, nice people and respectful. Waitress was fair about the terrible steak being that I only ate 3 bites and left the rest, I believe she removed one of the courses from the bill. Service by the manager was rude, we felt if we spoke to him about the steak he'd say my opinion was wrong, however he was super friendly and entertaining over at the table of 12. No apology or even addressing the bad steak even though he came to take desert orders. Decor is nice, cool tables and very comfortable seats. In summary, the waitesses and good starters/deserts made this not a 1 star review. £100 bill for 2 people, would expect more than a medallion of disgusting steak for that. We'd visit again for cocktails, not for food.

We booked for Sunday lunch for 7 people the wait time for awful in between starters and mains we had to repeatedly ask for drinks and napkins the roast potatoes were awful the Yorkshire pudding was so hard I did feel sorry for the waitresses but the service was hopeless one was a little rude but the other was lovely we asked for extra Garvey and we told we could only have 2 and they came in nothing bigger than an egg cup and I advice to check your bill the were charged for an extra meal on top of the £200 bill I felt very disappointed and won’t be going again

We visited as two couples last night to celebrate my birthday and had two Chateaubriand sharing boards. One was gluten free (bottom in the photo), which is not advertised anywhere on their menus, website or social media, but I read a review in a gluten free Facebook group and phoned ahead to confirm. I think the restaurant is missing out by not marking gluten on the menu, as the gluten free board was perfect, including Mac and cheese and onion rings! The steak was excellent. The only negative I can say is despite marking it on the booking and phoning ahead to confirm two sharing boards, they seated us on a table too small and we had to be moved to a table for six to fit the board on the table after we'd ordered and received drinks - a minor inconvenience but poor planning. Cocktails were good, a bit slow to arrive but insanely large choice. The girls serving were very attentive to drinks and checked on us multiple times. Overall I enjoyed the sharing board and I'd give five stars for the food. The chef can clearly cook gluten free so it would be amazing to see the whole menu updated to mark the options in the future as there is a huge demand for kitchens who understand allergies and intolerances.

We booked out the whole of the upstairs for my 40th birthday party. Kate was on hand in the build up to go through everything (food orders etc) - I was a tricky customer for some things and Kate managed to sort all of my queries no problem. On the day of the party the staff couldn’t do enough for us - special mention to Taylor for putting up with my many requests! The food was lovely and kids food served in a separate room as per my request All of my guests were very complimentary and I would recommend La Luna for a party in a heartbeat!

We had such high hopes but we were hugely let down! We had a fairly cold reception from the lady in charge, and once seated were provided with one menu between two and when we asked for an additional menu and a drinks menu it was like I’d asked for the world. The starters were nice enough (we had crispy beef and the salmon cocktail), but sadly we were hugely let down by the steaks. My husband had a fillet and I had a sirloin - unless you like the taste of smoke and absolutely zero taste of steak don’t waste your money. He managed to finish his plate but didn’t really enjoy it, I didn’t even make it half way, it was like eating a piece of charcoal. We would have mentioned this but the lady running front of house essentially ignored us the whole time we were there, she took an absolute age to collect our plates after we’d eaten, and when I pointed to the barely eaten steak and explained the issue I was met with “oh, sorry” and an expressionless face. We asked for the bill and then I explained that I was quite unhappy with the service and paying for a steak I barely touched, to which she laughed in my face… Eventually she removed one of the steaks from the total and shoved the card machine in front of me, and walked off once she’d seen the payment go through. Certainly not the experience we were expecting given the other reviews!! My advice would be avoid and go literally anywhere else!!

Although very quiet, service was extremely slow and waitress was rude when she was asked to assist us. When the food arrived, it was presented well, however both steaks were almost inedible, to the point I wanted to eat something else to get rid of the overpowering steak flavour. Nobody asked how our meals were whilst eating and we were left almost half an hour before our plates were taken. When explaining to the waitress what the food was like, we were laughed at. Avoid at all costs, very poor experience and will never return.

Positive - Food was good. Negatives - Poor service throughout the whole night. Dirty glasses and plates, cup had lipstick on so asked to get it changed and then cider poured into new glass which was 'clean' obviously not as it had an even bigger lipstick mark, had to get it changed again, cider ended up in 3 different glasses making it flat. Booked a table for 6 but were always only given 5 menus, water cups etc. Only 1 young man waiter seemed to know what he was doing which he was great when serving us but the others no good at all. Bill at the end had a random extra we didn't order so had to get that taken off. Overall very unorganised poor service which let down the whole meal.

Booked bottomless brunch, an hour and a half you get, ans we waited 15minutes for the 1st drink order to arrive. We had 1 bowl of nachos and 1 bowl of garlic bread between 13 people. The food wasn't very well presented, and we all had food later on elsewhere as we were hungry. You could only order 1 drink when your glass was completely empty, and then it was the waiting again as they had other tables to serve. We had the bill for some extras ordered 10 minutes before our time was up. The staff didn't seem to care that people weren't happy with the food and quality, and were quite "arsey" everytime someone asked for a drink. Would never go back.

What a waste of money. First time here and we won’t be back. We had Sunday lunch. Very expensive for what you get. Most of the veg was barely warm. Beef, two very thin small slices of meat and Yorkshire pud was the texture of a crispy dry wafer. Service was almost non-existent to the point that we had to get up and go find a waiter to ask for salt, pepper and horseradish after the food had arrived. Had to ask twice for the dessert menu which we finally got about 20-25 mins after mains then another lengthy wait for the food to arrive. Really cramped restaurant to the point where the tables are so close together having a private conversation is not possible and the restaurant was uncomfortably far too hot - we were down the back not far from the toilets. Very disappointing and nothing like the website describes. What a waste of over £60 for lunch for two!!! Not sure where the AA rosette came from but it certainly fell way short of expectations. Don’t waste your time or money going here..

Very disappointing experience. Restaurant was busy , very crowded layout with little room between tables. So much so staff can not pass each other . Food was tepid and not hot , service was possibly the worst I’ve experienced in a while . Portion size for the roast beef was very small and not value for money . Slow , certainly not attentive, having to wait and get up to go and ask staff for condiments and sauces to go with food is unacceptable. Ordered one drink, nobody ever came to see if we wanted more drinks . Waited 25 mins for a dessert menu and had to ask twice . The restaurant was boiling hot to the point my wife felt sick - it appeared to only have one air con unit . Not a cheap option for Sunday lunch , expected so much more from it based on the website and restaurant description . Certainly would not recommend.

Very disappointed with the service. The young staff were ok, but the owner/ manager so rude. We had the bottomless brunch which was never worth the money. Waited for our drinks, and refused to bring another until your glass was totally empty. Waited 45min for our starters hardly anything on platter to feed 10. Bottomless Bruch is a Con! £30 a head and waited three quarters of an hour for my first drink! Didn’t like the drink so asked for another and was told you have to finish the drink first before they give a refill!! The starter platters were given to every eight people so we waited for an hour for more to be serviced only to be told that we should have shared two platters for 24 people! Two drinks in an hour and half is not good enough! Would not recommend.

Visited here as a family this evening, food was lovely. We had the chateubriand boards x2 However service was slow, our drinks didn’t come until after we had finished the starters, we had to ask where they were. After this whilst eating the sharing board a younger member of staff asked if my husband had finished and picked up his plate, even though we were all still eating including him who was picking off the sharing board, this made us feel very rushed. Such a shame about the service as it was lovely inside and food was good .

Looking forward to an early evening dinner with my friends but ended up very disappointed ( not with the. company ) but the experience - we were the first in restaraunt so difficult to judge atmosphere, young girl serving us was very pleasant ,but the sea food risotto was atrocious - it was like a long grain rice done in fish stock - 2 chunks of salmon and half a small praw. -I couldn’t make the effort to finish it because rice not cooked for long enough and certainly not creamy - I mentioned it when plates collected from table . I mentioned it again when I wa paying - but was greeted with a very defensive attitude and felt like it was my fault - I was offeeedxa glass of wine but at. WOW what a little gem - visited here today for my hubbies 70th Birthday !! 7adults, 2 kids & 2 toddlers !! The restaurant itself is so flipping cute with such an amazing atmosphere - ALL the staff were lovely from the lovely Kate who I booked with to the ladies serving and the very cheeky (in a lovely way) cocktail maker who took our money, each and every one of them had smiles on their faces the whole time we were there !! Faced with a bunch of fussy eaters, nothing was too much trouble !! Some of us went for the Sunday lunch set menu whilst others wanted a bit of that menu and a bit off the the main menu - all was accommodated for - I was determined, even before we got there, that I was having the cheeseboard but the portions from the starter and the main were so generous I asked for a takeaway cheeseboard and, you guessed it, they accommodated that too !! All the food was delicious and the kids meals were such a generous portion too, just made the whole experience an absolute joy !! Thank you ALL very much for looking after us - we will definately be back again xxx

After seeing the restaurant on TikTok. Me and my partner decided to book. Honestly, we were debating whether or not to leave before we had sat down. We waited not far off 10 mins for anyone to even see to us, it wasn’t until my partner actually stopped a member of staff to say we had a table booked did anyone deal with us. We got sat down and after that the service was incredibly quick, all courses were brought out a reasonable time after one another. We had the 3 course menu for £35 and we had 2 extra sides for £8. The food was absolutely beautiful, only down thing I didn’t enjoy were the chips but that is only because I don’t like skin on chips, but that is just down to preference. One of the best steaks I have had, followed by a gorgeous Eton Mess dessert. I would say overall our experience was positive it was just the first

Booked La Luna as we were staying at the Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa nearby. I could have chosen any of the menu options. The food was beautiful & the staff excellent. They really went above & beyond, especially the owner, and we even had a surprise anniversary card when we left. It was a lovely touch. The bread & butter pudding was the best I’ve ever had! 😋

I would have given 3.5 if that was an option. But it’s not, and I felt I couldn’t give 4. After seeing a post about this place online, I was really looking forward to coming. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but overall I was a little bit disappointed. Firstly, service was slow throughout. From waiting for a menu, then to order, for drinks, each course and then the bill. At the end of the meal we were even joking with the people at the table next to us, who would eventually manage to get their bill first? We had the warm breads with oil and balsamic to start. Nowhere near enough oil, so most of the bread was eaten dry. I had the Fritto Misto. For the price of £22.00, I was expecting a bigger portion. The batter could’ve been crispier too. The fish cake that was part of the dish was nice. The other main course we had was the noodles with bang bang chicken. This was tasty and the best part of the meal. The sticky toffee pudding needed more sauce and ice-cream. It was a bit dry. Some other meals looked better, maybe we were just unlucky with what we chose.

Absolutely Fuming!! 😤 I had an Area Booked Upstairs, called “The Cwtch” for Prosecco Brunch, for my 40th Birthday 🥂 Paid Deposit (£50) for Room (June 22nd) I was told that this “may” move to Another Room due to Final Numbers & Party Size 🤷🏽‍♀️ which I Understood & thats Fine, because all Rooms look Great, it’s just “the Cwtch”was my Favourite 🙏🏽 However, having Rung them today (June 28th) to give them Final Numbers & to pay The Total Balance for Us all for the Brunch, I was told that the Room now (& all the Rooms Upstairs) are now All UNAVAILABLE due to a Private Function that’s been booked 😳 When I asked when this was Booked, because last Week when I made my Booking, the Diary was Ok to do so….. The Boy I spoke to said “this Week” so AFTER I had Booked & Paid the Deposit for the Room, & Date that I needed. They Sacked Me, and many Others Off, to Accommodate this Other Person….. How Unfair is that, on the People that Booked FIRST!!!! 👎🏽 The Boy then went on to say, “they’ve paid for it all” Really???? So because this Person had Money and Paid for Everything Upfront & in full (which I do Understand to some Extent) that gives You the Right to Sack Off the other People that have Already Booked, & give him Priority 🤷🏽‍♀️ & what’s Worse, is they didn’t even Ring Me to inform Me of this. I rung them to Pay the Balance Owed, for what I had Booked & then after they Told Me about the Confusion, they didn’t even Ring Me back, when they said they would, to Discuss the Alternatives, so I had to Ring them AGAIN. On the Phone the Boy told Me that he would either be Relocating ALL the Bookings from Upstairs, elsewhere (to the Restaurant downstairs) or they will be Happy to Refund the Deposit!!!!! I have Never Ever left a Bad Review on Anything or Anywhere, however This Situation has Upset Me so much……it was my 40th. My Family & Friends all kept this in their Diaries, for my Birthday Celebrations. I am so Dissapointed, Especially since My Partner & I, had been to this Place, twice in the last Month. We went Once for Food & went Once for Cocktails, and they were both equally Amazing!!!! I Booked this Place Because of how Lovely the Drinks were & how Stunning the Food was, & Because I fell in Love with the Rooms Upstairs & I genuinely thought it would’ve been a Perfect Venue to Celebrate with my Family/Friends. But how Wrong I was….. Out of Principle I will NOT be Returning here or Recommending this Place to Anyone, knowing Now, how Poorly they Treat People. Despite how Stunning the Decor is, or how Good the Food and Drinks are. It’s Totally unacceptable to Treat a Paying Customer this way and change, Sorry “Ruin” Someone’s Plans after they’ve Paid a Deposit to Secure them, in the First place. After Speaking to Another Member of Staff regarding this Issue, she Confused Me with another Booking from the Same Night that also had to be Cancelled. A Hen Night!!!! La Luna did offer Me Alternative Dates, but as with Adult Life, None of my Family/Friends could Make that Date, hense Why we agreed & Booked the Date that we did, so they ended up giving Me a Refund. Which I’m Thankful for, even though this is all their Fault & out of my Control, however I am so Disappointed that a Place could do this to People/Persons and would Warn anyone to be very cautious to Book here, due to the Nature of this Establishments management. Poor Management & Shocking Customer Service.

Popped in on Friday night for date night as the missus saw a TikTok she liked, Made a booking and popped over, we wanted to try the steak sharing platter, just over £100 for the 2 of us, with what was served to us wasn’t good enough, two drinks each in as the food took so long, the size of the steak served I could of eaten on my own let alone sharing, we asked for the steak to be medium done but the centre of it was barely cooked at all, we had 4 little bowls of sides and 3 sauces, and once served between the 2 of us wasn’t no where near enough to warrant the £80 cost, we walked away quite disappointed to be honest, If you want a nice steak sharing platter we highly recommend the steak and stamp in Pencoed!

The positive thing about this place is their marketing team, fair play! As soon as we walked in it felt like we had been catfished. It seems to be shown in a completely different light on social media. We booked a table for 8pm and got told we weren't on the list and then we got taken upstairs to some random room which felt like it was in the back room of a dingy club mixed with someone's living room. Very uncomfortable and I'm glad we left and didn't spend any money there. The atmosphere was so odd. The 'Live Laugh Love' sign on the wall was the last straw for us 😂 byeee

Had a table booked for the Saturday but was then contacted on the day before to ask me if I was still coming as I was 20 minutes late even though the table was for the next day. After explaining I have the table booked for the Saturday was then told they will change it for the Saturday as if I was the one who booked the wrong day. Upon arriving on the Saturday was asked did we book under a different name as they could not find us then after the clearly gave us somebody else’s table seemed to just been over booked as many people was told to go upstairs and wait for a table due to not having any available. Food was bland and not very nice at all, peppercorn sauce was nothing like it and the dessert was missing parts to what the menu said. Staff there was very rude and clearly lacking customer service, on social media food looked great but was very much far from that would not recommend.

Lovely place to visit. The cafe is right by the lake, and the staff is really friendly and helpfull. The menu is reasonably priced. We only had a coffee but the food that was comming out looked really good quality. We had a nice walk around the lake whixh ised to be an old collery
