The best restaurants in Rhondda Cynon Taf South Wales

We have been wanting to try Blok for so long and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional from start to finish in particular our server Bethany who was so polite and friendly, a real asset to the restaurant. Will definitely be returning...... can't wait!!

Oh I miss this place so much! Can’t wait for this dreadful situation to improve and for HSS to reopen its doors. I’m longing for the Social Smash and a Mrs C’s coffee!

I’d heard of Colliery 19, but never got around to going there….until this evening, and we’re so glad we did. The food was wonderful and the staff so very attentive and totally customer focussed. It was lovely that some of the trainee chefs came to our table and asked for our opinion on the course they’d prepared. This just added to what was already a lovely experience. I think we’ll be going back, and soon.

I love this place. Super friendly staff, lovely coffee and breakfasts suitable for all dietary requirements. The deli is also a lovely addition where I can purchase the lovely coffee to have at home too. I can’t recommend this place enough- if you’ve not yet visited, give it a try!

Best burgers in aberdare by miles

Visited again 4/8/24. Our Calamari and home made soup starters were really good. The carvery meat and all vegetables were cooked beautifully and plenty of choice. Although it was very busy the service was efficient with no wait and also no feeling of being rushed. The young man who looked after us was friendly and professional - as were all the staff there. Excellent value for money. If you've not been then try it. You won't be disappointed.

Where else would you see a cafe surrounded by several flocks of sheep? 🐏🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 On a Welsh mountain side in the middle of the Brecon Beacons, that's where! What a unique and enjoyable experience; sipping hot freshly made coffee, munching a lovely bacon 'butty' with the breeze blowing through the valley. Plus, a 'captive' audience, each one of the woolly creatures in the audience hoping for a free sample from my bread roll. No luck there I'm afraid. Good quality burger, fresh bun and great service from the proprietor. Will definitely use again.

We had a coffee machine purchased and fitted with CORTILE, Richard came out to install. The process was so easy from start to finish. He was fantastic, full of knowledge and extremely helpful. Just popped in having heard this venue was amazing. Such a friendly welcome, so homely and comfortable. The menu had lots to offer, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and cakes to die for. The selection was vegan and vegetarian suitable. I had tea, which was served with a tea strainer as it was real tea leaves, in quaint china tea pot with milk in cow shaped jug and lovely bone china tea cup and saucer. I also chose raspberry and chocolate cake, which was moist, flavourful and scrumptious. The rest of the area was like a gift shop/antique shop, a surprise around every corner. In the other part is a dog grooming parlour which is a bonus as the restaurant is dog friendly and has its own dog menu !

We would highly recommend this gorgeous little restaurant to anyone passing through Pontypridd. We went as a family of 3 with a toddler and the food was absolutely incredible. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and made our experience memorable. The restaurant itself was quaint and beautifully decorated. We can’t wait to go back! EXCELLENT value for money too!

What a fabulous coffee shop in the middle of our local town. My husband and myself sat in the window, and talked about what a real gem it is. The atmosphere is good, the coffee is amazing and the staff are really attentive. Keep doing what you are doing. We love it.

Having seen the reviews, we popped in here for a quick brunch during a brief visit to Aberdare. This community is so lucky to have a place like this and I thoroughly recommend it. The Hyb is really clean, bright and spacious and well looked after. The staff in the cafe were really polite, efficient and friendly. Our 2 coffees, porridge with honey and berry compote and bacon and avocado toasted brioche bap were perfect and all for £12.80. Really good value. We were also really pleased to read about the Hyb's 'Pay it forward' scheme which invites you to buy food/drink items to be used by people in need. The staff give you a receipt to stick on a board and anyone in need can pick it up and get free food/drink. What a lovely way to make an anonymous 'act of kindness' and one which we were inspired to do. We'll certainly go there again if passing in/near Aberdare.
