Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea here today! Greeted by friendly smiling student staff, the setting was lovely too! Also, a big shout out too for the college students who made the food for us to enjoy - it was delicious 😋 Will definitely visit again

Just been here for what was billed as a Tapas meal. Not entirely my idea of tapas, more of a 'Spanish-themed' meal. Nevertheless, it was first-class. The students are all very friendly and clearly out to please the customers. The food was delicious and the price very reasonable. Five-star rating. Thank you one and all for a very pleasant experience.

My wife and I went along recently for the Christmas lunch offering at Carriages. As always the food was outstanding and the service attentive and friendly. This is a training restaurant but the quaily here matches most top-end we have visited. All the food is created from fresh ingredients. We both had wild game terrine to start with pickled cherries, a cherry coulisand curly endive - it was delicious. My wife had for mains paupiette of roast turkey with all the trimmings, and I had Pithivier, a range of mushrooms with chestnuts and thyme encased in puff pastry and and a madeira suace. Both were outstandingly tasty and freshly made and cooked. For dessert we both had chocolate orange cheesecake - a real treat and not at all heavy. we just managed to squeeze in the fresh coffee and home-made mince pie at the end. All this cost just £16.95 each - a real bargain! The staff (who are Students at the college)were on the ball throughout, topping up our water and responding promply to any requests we made.

Had a fabulous meal here on Friday 11th October. The choice was excellent and the food was also excellent. Well presented, tasty and lovely friendly staff who also introduced the kitchen staff too which was very nice. Sorry I cannot remember their names.

Wow. 4 of us had lunch here today and it was amazing. The students are learning their new trade and did an outstanding job helped along the way by their lovely tutor. The food was second to none, so so delicious. 2 choices for each course (fish/chicken) with a great selection and so tasty. I don’t usually like deserts but the chocolate tart was so good. We will defiantly be back again... very soon. Thank you all.

This is a wonderful restaurant, sited near Aberdare train station and is part of the College Campus. It is a training restaurant and you will be served by very friendly and efficient students. The food is cooked by students too but all under the watchful eye of their tutors. The results are amazing! the food is fresh, inventive and very high quality - and for a very reasonable price. My wife have been lucky to eat here about 7 times and each visit has been a success!

Visited again 4/8/24. Our Calamari and home made soup starters were really good. The carvery meat and all vegetables were cooked beautifully and plenty of choice. Although it was very busy the service was efficient with no wait and also no feeling of being rushed. The young man who looked after us was friendly and professional - as were all the staff there. Excellent value for money. If you've not been then try it. You won't be disappointed.

First visit to Little Pickers this morning, and won't be the last. Great service, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and food was really tasty. Opted for the granola bowl with fruit and greek Yogurt and honey. Right size portion and the fruits were tasty. Greek yogurt was thick and creamy - as it should be. Flat white coffee was hot and flavoursome, not bitter. This is a lovely little place for a quick bite or a bit longer if you want to just chill. Will be visiting again very soon! Bill came to under £20 for 2 of us. Well worth it.
