The best restaurants serving British food in Rhondda Cynon Taf South Wales

Visited again 4/8/24. Our Calamari and home made soup starters were really good. The carvery meat and all vegetables were cooked beautifully and plenty of choice. Although it was very busy the service was efficient with no wait and also no feeling of being rushed. The young man who looked after us was friendly and professional - as were all the staff there. Excellent value for money. If you've not been then try it. You won't be disappointed.

What a fabulous coffee shop in the middle of our local town. My husband and myself sat in the window, and talked about what a real gem it is. The atmosphere is good, the coffee is amazing and the staff are really attentive. Keep doing what you are doing. We love it.

Had a Sunday lunch was very nice and plenty of it will definitely return. We like to try all the local pubs for Sunday lunch and this is one of the nicest would definitely recommend.

Friendly welcoming staff, good range of vegan options, soya milk available for coffee, pleasant place to sit, inside an interesting museum

i am surprised that this place is mentioned, since the place has disappeared long ago, or is it hiding? it was a nice series, friendly service, nice food, nice choice, nice fish finger rolls, yes seriously, nice beans on toast, nice well everything. The server, Victoria, or ''Sticky Vickie'' for some reason by some of the locals, was lovely, pity the place closed

Llevé a mi madre en compras de Aberdare el viernes y decidimos buscar un sitio para un almuerzo tardío. Esta cafetería ha abierto en Aberdare desde nuestra última visita y decidimos intentarlo. Aunque está indicado en el menú que los últimos pedidos deben ser recibidas en 3,30 pm ya que cerca a las 4 pm (llegamos a 3,35 h), estaban más que dispuestos a llevar nuestro pedido de comida. Ambos tuvimos chaqueta patatas con frijoles y una taza de té cada una. Las patatas estaban perfectamente preparado y el té, que era muy refrescante. No probé las tartas yo solo, pero tomé una casa para mi otherhalf para probar y dijo que la tarta de limón es realmente encantador. Si estás buscando un lugar para cenar en Aberdare, sin duda le recomendaría que da este precioso poco cafe probarlo. Buen servicio, buena comida, ¿qué más se puede pedir.

Wonderfull sandwiches. The ham and pickle are amazing. Coffee was great and enjoyed the cakes. Would buy again.

Just popped in having heard this venue was amazing. Such a friendly welcome, so homely and comfortable. The menu had lots to offer, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and cakes to die for. The selection was vegan and vegetarian suitable. I had tea, which was served with a tea strainer as it was real tea leaves, in quaint china tea pot with milk in cow shaped jug and lovely bone china tea cup and saucer. I also chose raspberry and chocolate cake, which was moist, flavourful and scrumptious. The rest of the area was like a gift shop/antique shop, a surprise around every corner. In the other part is a dog grooming parlour which is a bonus as the restaurant is dog friendly and has its own dog menu !

Sausage , bacon, and egg roll was quality 😋 Definitely be back to try the breakfast.

Had a good size breakfast but it is a bit tight for space not a lot of room between tables, but the food was nice ,staff very busy no time to talk

Good choice of beers etc . And dog friendly 🐶needs to be open for longer periods. Only open limited hours .

The whole vibe here was cool af, I’m not sure if our waiter just didn’t bother to ask how we were doing or if it was intentional like for us to enjoy our meals which we did. He didn’t bother at all which also made the whole experience really pleasant but at some points he was needed but wasn’t anywhere to be found, but the hostess was so nice and quick to find us sitting.

A lovely warm atmosphere. A proper pub! Good beer garden out back in the warmer months
