Been my local for 20 years nice atmosphere,pool,darts,juke box and live music on Saturdays and some Sundays. Unfortunately it is currently closed (July 2018).RE OPENS ON JULY 19TH 2019.

Great pub run by a great landlord, friendly and helpful staff. Great choice of beers and larger, spirits and wines, all at competitive prices. Live artists, pool and darts, a all-round great pub with a lively atmosphere.

Plenty of atmosphere, decent beer & good half time faggots/peas this last week end. Great landlord Dom is nice friendly chap too. Staff are all friendly. I think Dom still does monthly Sunday lunch & that is absolutely cracking.

I go to the merlin regularly. Great Saturday night entertainment with a singer every week. They hAve regular special offers. Sunday lunches are stunning.

Great pub that does occasional Sunday Lunch, usually once monthly and special occasion such as Mother's Day. Just think i had to recommend this as having been for their Sunday lunches a couple of times over a couple of years (not thinking to recommend it on Trip Advisor before oddly) i just can't fault the quality of the cooking, the tenderness of beef or lamb cooked overnight is something else. Deserving of a mention as Sunday lunch is so delicious. The bar serves good beer along with choice of lager & ciders in comfortable surroundings, great for 6 Nations games with 2 TV's & a big screen and then they do a free half time lunch such as hot dogs or corned beef hash., good atmosphere.
