My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast . The food was perfect and service professional and very friendly. Spotlessly clean . Coffees lovely. Visit , you will not be disappointed !

I left feeling like I'd paid a parking ticket! Nothing was worth a cent I spent. From the apathetic server at the front, to the science experiment to find out how much flour could be put into a sausage before it became a meat flavoured cake, nothing left a good impression. Almost everything on the plate was the cheapest option a place could opt for from their suppliers. I guess I should be thankful though, the next place to attempt disappointing me to this level will find it almost impossible.

Fantastic place with fantastic service

Called in whilst of a long cycle ride for coffee & sandwiches. Probably been to over 50 cafes in south wales on cycling days out. Have to say this was one of the very best. Spacious & clean inside. Really wee laid out. Excellent food ( superb bacon sandwich with fries). Coffee was great too. really great professional & very friendly service.

A point, - This is NOT fast food, and from my 2 visits I find it is most wholesome. The 1/4 lb cheeseburger alone was like a full dinner. Or am I getting older? My partners taylor- made breakfast did not look a lot, like in most cafes, but was also excellent quality and more than filling the gap. This tells me that time and care make the best meals, and I do not mind waiting that bit extra for food made to order and not last night. The staff seem more than helpful and very welcoming, something important to us older folks perhaps. Use again? Just wait till next week. Recommended.

We visited today for a breakfast. I had cheese and beans on toast and the cheese didn’t even melt the beans were that luke warm!! My partner had the Barrie breakfast and in his own word “Barrie would be disappointed “ everything was badly cooked and food was so pale plate swimming in water or grease! He did say the friedbread was nice though. And to top it off he had to listen to all the staff on shift talk so badly about another staff member all they did was bitch and talk about them. Very poor and will now be returning!

Delicious breakfast, not an ounce of oil on the plate, good portion and tasty!

The food was a little late (15 mins) but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious, and the portions were really generous. The fatty that I am had eyes too big for my belly, and I had to have two sittings for my breakfast. I will definately order from there again.

2nd. Visit...last one was pre covid, and pleased to see they are still open. They make their own ice cream which makes it a pleasure to visit. The car park is Porth side of the building. Drive in as if you were going into the car wash (look for car wash and red sign). Definitely worth a visit as it does food as well as ice cream.

Food was great but the tray had metled there was hardly any bottom to it and all the food fell through it I had to put it on a plate. Good job I had put a plate down beforehand or it would have been over the floor. I took a pic as proof. I'm sure it was a one off accident but so lucky it didn't end up on the floor or all over my work surface.

Ordered when I seen scoops & smiles on just eat, took a walk up to the cafe, and had the loveliest welcoming as they recognised me from all the deliveries also the only place so far that reads the delivery notes on customised breakfast e.g change from fried egg to scrambled definitely worth the visit or even an order!

Really friendly staff! And some fantastic Waffles! Had to take some home!

I had chicken strips with sweet chilli dip and chips, deliciously home made, also a chocolate milkshake to die for. Breakfast also delicious. Friendly, clean and affordable a very pleasant change, wish they’d open up in Aberdare 👍👍

Scoops and smiles never fail to disappoint, in restaurant or delivery. Food was fresh and piping hot. I really appreciated that they put the baked beans in a separate pot too. Just to add, their crepes and milkshakes are amazing too, as is Sunday lunch.

I have visited this place for a lunch with my MotorBike Friends..... the food was really delicious and low priced....we have enjoyed our lunch for sure....Owner and staff are extreme friendly.,, This is a place were you feel very comfortable...For sure we will visit this place again during our next motortrip.

lovely place, very clean. good quality products used, cooked with care and nicely presented. very helpful staff, great home made ice cream and cakes as well as a selection of meals.

Diner-type feel to the place. Will definitely be back - thoughtful staff member made a hot chocolate for my son (age 3) at a cooler temperature without me even having to ask. Had a good burger, with free kids burger (great offer!). I imagine in the nicer weather it would be good to sit out back in their small yard.

The food is gorgeous. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. We met and chatted with Andy the owner and what a truly nice person he is. Will definitely eat here again.

In the area and stopped for ice cream but it looked so good we had breakfast too. Great value, fresh ingredients, pretty much perfect breakfast, piping hot and well presented.

Yet another visit to this gem of a café. Great value freshly cooked food. Service with a smile indeed - and not just a pinned on for the customers grimace either. We love the place. The only slight issue is that it is very echoy (large flat areas of hard walls/windows/floor - it used to be a car sales room) - so the noise level is high.

It’s really ironic that this place is called Scoops and Smiles when I didn’t see one member of staff smile at a customer once during my stay. A lady who I presume is the owner was the only person to thank people as they were leaving. When I went to the counter to order I was blanked by a young girl, who was obviously making coffee for someone else, she could have said that someone would be happy to serve me or say she wouldn’t be long. Anyway I just wanted poached eggs on toast and when ordered with a cup of tea, both came really quickly and I enjoyed. But I am not sure why this came with tomatoes and cucumber!? There is a vast menu and I might be tempted to come back again as overall I did enjoy. The customer service let it down to be honest.

Excellent food and staff is so lovely. So much choice you’re spoilt for options both sweet and savoury. Absolutely stunning and super clean, with plenty of seating outside and inside! Deffos recommend you visiting.

This place is great. Staff are really friendly. Food is impeccable. I had the mixed grill I think the chef is a descendant of god cos the food was like heaven. The missus had one of the burgers she destroyed it didn’t even touch the sides. Reasonable priced for good quality food. If your in the Rhondda this place is where to go for grub. The place is also spotless.

Had to wait a bit for our order as it was really busy but I enjoyed it regardless. Definitely going again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, we picked up and it was ready within 20 minutes which is great. Nice burger and scrumptious dessert. The tuna panini was also highly rated. Would definitely recommend to a friend, 10/10.

Good food and enough of it to satisfy. Only reason for four stars was because although it wasn't busy the waitress made us wait nearly 15 minutes before approaching us to take our food and drinks order. The food came quickly after that.. She was also absent when we were finished waiting and a colleague of hers took our plates and gave us the bill... But that just meant I gave a smaller tip than I normally do so all fair. Overall, good.

Had strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries it was delicious can't wait to go back and have a meal there and more ice cream also service was excellent.

Very poor breakfast. Black pudding was not cooked properly brown and soft. Sausages were cheap and nasty, egg was cooked in deep oil and completely covered in grease. If you looking for a good breakfast I do jot recommend.
