Very suprised to find this. And boy am I glad I did. Great vegetarian options of quiches and lasagna and salads. Vegan desserts. Non vegetarian options too. The gluten free bread is incredibly thick cut. Tremendous value for money. The staff were very astute and helpful. Located within the museum

Great little family run cafe. Nice cosy atmosphere. Superb for home cooked Sunday Lunches, highly recommended. Not expensive and well worth a trip out

We went at lunch time, the meal ( Christmas dinner) was absolutely amazing. We had a choice of meats , offered Turin’s or from hot plates. My husband said the mash potato tasted like nothing he’s tasted in years. Plenty of everything, Dessert 5 choices for dessert. Nicola had Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream Roy and I had Apple Crumble with Custard We wii definitely return, fabulous staff, made very welcome.

The best Christmas Day I’ve had for years! I booked my husband and I in for Christmas Day lunch as a surprise and it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. From the time we ran in from the grey and wet day outside, everything was superb. A Buck’s Fizz welcome with delicious canapés before the most fabulous meal ever! All freshly cooked from fresh ingredients. Everything was A1. There was a bottle of Prosecco each with soft drinks for non drinkers and children. There was far too much for me to itemise. We are definitely booking again next year and will be regular patrons from now on.

Food was very nice, Came with some very nice tartar sauce. I ordered Fanta, it was very nice and even came with a ton of ice. And the side was a very nice garnish of onion, cucumber, tomato and lettuce came here multiple times, and would still come here again. Staff were also very nice, polite, and fast.

A lovely warm atmosphere. A proper pub! Good beer garden out back in the warmer months

Cute establishment and good food. The service was impeccable. We sat indoors, and there were a couple of large parties, so it was very loud inside. Wouldn’t mind coming back again to try something else from the menu.

Lovely food at a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. Dog friendly. Have been here a couple of times and will definitely enjoy going there again when we visit our daughter who lives nearby. Sad to say this little gem has now closed down and up for sale 😢 Areal shame for traditional pubs with proper food.
