Welcoming and well run pub. Very much a local but offering extensive menu choices, good portions and flexibility. Value for money. Very pro-active with themed evenings. Highly recommended.

We contacted the pub online to enquire about holding a wedding with them and they didn't respond so while in the area one day we popped by to have a drink and speak to manager about arranging a meeting, they were holding a wake and made it quite clear they were too busy and we weren't welcome, they wouldn't accommodate us even sitting outside to have a coffee a chef took down our details saying they would contact us within a week, it has been a month and we have heard nothing, following it up felt a little pointless now. It is a real shame, this venue was sentimental as my parents had also had their reception here and my father has since passed, we would have spent a lot of money with them as we would have required accomodation but the whole experience has left us not wanting to return. I am glad the establishment is thriving but it is not a nice feeling that your business is not wanted and it is quite unprofessional to not get back to people.

I stopped at The Afan Lodge today, while walking my dog as it is a dog friendly venue. I was served by Sam & Fran, whom were absolutely delightful, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was cosy and the views beautiful on this sunny day. I had a pub lunch, which was amazing too! A recommended stop off if you are in the area 💗

Popped in for snack and drink while out walking No issue with the food but we felt as if we were inconveniencing them having to serve us We were the only ones there No pleasantries at all Probably won’t go again

Bryncae Arms is a large restaurant and public house serving exceptionally good 'pub grub'. at a reasonable price. Food was hot and looked appetizing. The staff were friendly, very helpful but not intrusive. Definitely would recommend.

Interesting ordering system allows for lazy and inconsistent service

32 of us had coffee morning with Wendy and girls. The service was very good and Wendy rearranged her seating to accommodate us. We thoroughly enjoyed the morning, looking forward to our return visit in the future. Well done ladies.

My wife and I had afternoon tea and the food and service was excellent.

Lovely decor, lush food, good choices, nice location. Had to mark it down though as they allow dogs....one dog was sat on the owners lap at the table, very unhygienic 🤮

Been for breakfast few weeks ago, was cold to point not even butter melted on toast and food was stone cold. Went for sunday lunch today. First gave us wrong order and when ours arrived was shocking how bad it was. Half hour late and barely cooked gravy is basically water, even table behind us was laughing while eating how bad it was and them and us couldn't wait to get out quick enough. We all left about 3/4s of food on our plates. Don't waste your time

Best chippy by far in the valleys. Lovely white fish, perfect chips and lovely curry sauce. Can't fault it!

Booked here as it has always been a lovely meal. When we arrived the 2 ladies on the next table explained it had exchanged hands and their meal was not good. Tasteless and cold. Omg! Our food arrived before we poured our drinks so goes to show that the good is just sitting there waiting.. I had the lamb and it was tender, the swede had hard lumps in it. Frozen Yorkshire and omg I cannot explain what the roast pots were… soggy and cold . None of us finished our meals as they were all luke warm and not tasty….and the bill was £48! The lady asked how the food was and we gave her feedback.. she said you should have told us but to have it taken back to have it pinged in the microwave 🤦‍♀️ Will never go back there….do not waste your money…

Visiting family in Wales I'm from Windsor. Mt daughter treated us all at beefeater I've never been to beefeater before I enjoyed my meal and the staffwere very friendly
