Had a take away from here for the first time this evening and I was very glad I travelled from Church Village to get my meal. Didn’t book just walked in and ordered. Had a friendly reception on arrival. I have to say that the really was very good and I would I will definitely visit again. Thank you.

11 of us including a 3 yr old had a lovely evening in this restaurant aka Spice Ambassador in Taffs Well. The owner and his staff were really helpful and attentive start to finish, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Food? Well, every choice served to us all was delicious, unique in many cases. Personally, my lamb dish was probably the best lamb presentation I've tasted in an Indian restaurant. Helpings were nicely generous but not too daunting or wasteful, arriving all hot and at the same time, notable considering we were a large group in a busy restaurant. Many thanks to staff for a lovely time- we'll definitely be back.

I ordered a vegetable dansaak because that’s what I felt like (I’m not a veggie)! What I got was a potato curry, the sauce was nice and I accept that potato can be considered a vegetable but to have a veg curry that’s totally composed of new potatoes is a liberty! No cauliflower, no carrots, no aubergine! Come on get your act together and give us some delicious veg and not bland spuds 😡

Still the King of Curry – Saffron Returns in Style Today we treated ourselves to a takeaway from Saffron in Pontypridd — and it did not disappoint. After being closed for over a year due to a fire and full refurbishment, they’ve returned better than ever. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish felt like it had been prepared with real love and precision. The onion bhaji was crisp and full of flavour, the Chicken Chat was beautifully spiced, and the Chicken Kholapuri had just the right level of kick. I could have eaten the Bombay Aloo all by itself, and the Keema Garlic Naan was soft, rich, and perfect for scooping every last drop. Even the papadom was spot on! What I loved most is that every dish had its own identity — no generic curry base here. Each bite reminded me why Saffron has always been my favourite. The staff were lovely when I picked up the order, and the newly refurbished interior looks clean, modern, and inviting. I’ll definitely be returning soon — and yes, I’ll remember to tip next time! Welcome back, Saffron. You’ve been missed.

Fantastic Indian Takeaway – Highly Recommended! Just had an amazing meal from Spice Corner, and I couldn't be more impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions—plenty for two to share. We ordered chicken tikka biryani, veg curry, saag aloo, two onion bhajis, onion salad with mint sauce, and three poppadoms, all for a very reasonable £28 including delivery. Everything arrived on time at the preset time, piping hot, full of authentic flavors and real aromatic spices. The delivery driver was friendly and appreciative of a tip, which added to the great experience. I ordered directly from their website rather than using Uber Eats or Just Eat, Overall, a solid 10/10! I’d highly recommend Spice Corner to anyone looking for quality Indian cuisine. Will definitely be ordering again!

I have eaten at this restaurant for the last 20 years ( when they were operating in Treforest) I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal, EVER. The food has always been of the highest standard. I always have the buffet with an extra vegetable vindaloo on the side. We have formed a wonderful relationship with the proprietor and staff and the service is always first class. I have eaten Indian food for over 50 years and I can honestly say they are the best bar none. I have tried other restaurants, and can honestly say that one was worse then the other. This is an honest review and I have no connection with this establishment other then being a customer.

Ordered the set menu..it arrived quite promptly and there was chicken korma and masalla, warm salad, poppodoms, plain nan and pilau rice and a dip for £16.99. The masalla was ok but the korma was rotten. It was tasteless white rubbery chicken that was cooked and thrown into a korma sauce afterwards. Awful. I ended up leaving it and had some masalla but that was pretty poor too. Sorry but takeaway Indian food should be the same standard as a sit in meal. This was miles away and Im not sure why people think this is good enough. Had heart burn all night and wont be eating that again. Rice was typical and nan bread the same. Maybe theres better dishes on the menu but the korma was so bad. The chicken didnt even taste like chicken. Enough ...
