Mouchak Restaurant in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Had takeaway turned up cold so had to reheat it in the microwave, onion bahjee was tasteful shame they were cold, keema nan only half filled so I should have ordered a normal nan, won't be going back

Had a take away so can't comment on the restaurant but the food is amazing :)

Excellent Indian food, the best I been to

I'm really impressed with the value and quality of the food. It was the best tarka dhal I've ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning.

Delicious meal...had the banquet special for £15.95...poppadoms, starter, main meal, rice or chips and choice of naan breads....service was fab as was all of our meals!!

Absolutely awful. Food and service. Used Mouchak for years,it used to be the best Indian around but now it got to be one the worst. Never go their again.

Order arrived hour and 10 minutes late! A full 2 hours and 40 minutes after ordering, food was freezing cold and chips full of black bits, and 1 of the starters missing!! Wont be ordering in a hurry again!!!

Ordered my first time from here a collection. Was ready ten minutes after I ordered. I called to make 2 amendments the website missed and they got it spot on. Service inside was super fast and food stunning. Will be back soon thanks

I really must b the unlucky one looking at all the reviews Ordered food tonight at 6pm arrived at 19.50 after ringing twice to chase it up was told left 10mins ago rang again was told driver needed to return back to shop ! Hence my food Luke warm : cold /chicken tough really disappointed

Outstanding value for £15 for a no frills five course meal

By far our favourite takeaway. Lovely food, and although waiting times might be a bit longer, and it's not the cheapest, it's the best quality Indian food locally in our opinion.

Always loved mouchak and I understand the need to save cost but really ordered a kemal nan bread took two bites and thought I cant taste any meat split the bread and there were two small pieces of meat in there will not get from here again gone downhill

Ordered garlic rice and got pilau rice, if you could call it a prawn vindaloo, it was hot but had about 5 prawns, will never buy from there again, I’ve had too many bad orders from there Wouldn’t recommend

First time using this Restaurant for a Take Away. Firstly the food was so tasty, by far the best up the Rhondda. Secondly I’d like to thank them for going out of there way to even deliver it out of there delivery Zone. Highly recommend 👍🏻

First time back since Covid hit us all, and things have changed. They no longer serve alcohol, and even though the service and the prices are still very good, my food wasn't anything like as good as was and my husband also described his favourite dish as being a bit bland. We will go again, just to make sure it wasn't a bad evening for them, but not for a while !

Gone down hill recently - last two weeks dishes have not been as expected. Tonight a butter chicken without tomatoes in the sauce, so a korma or something, but they tell me that’s how they do it. Last week I had a chilli tikka masala, which was sweet and laced with coconut; strangest variations Ive ever seen, so going to try elsewhere in future

Shame u need to take your own alchahol, however great service and food speaks for itself, fabulous.

Was once really good. Waited almost 2 hours for a delivery and when it arrived it was cold beyond being able to salvage it in the microwave. Tried calling 5 times and it would ring and cut off. Called from a different mobile and got an answer straight away. They did offer to replace it in 90 mins but I refused and accepted a refund on the driver collecting the whole order of nearly £60 to return it. I would not have left this review if they had just answered my call instead of cancelling me out on recognising my number. Shame as like the food when I eat in the resturant but never again.

We had a birthday meal here for my daughter 18th birthday and the staff was very friendly and and couldn't do enough. The meal was was lovely and all served fresh. I would highly recommend x

Orded delivery tonite chips were cold. had hair in naan bread & was sick half way through eating food. Never again. We normally av great food here no problems but definitely has put me off

If i could give 0 stars i would, just spent nearly £35 between 2 people ! Cold, tasteless and watery. No flavour in anything, chicken overcooked. This was my first and last visit !! Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!

Waited nearly 2 hours for delivery, when calling up to see where it was the operator was rude and inconsiderate. When the food came it was missing items. Rang back andthey said it wasn’t on the order which it was. Food was also dry and tasteless won’t be ordering again.

Menu had plenty of choice and the service is excellent. As for the meals, I can only say its one of the best I've had.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery only to be shouted at when calling to see where it was, have eaten in the restaurant before and food was really good, will never use again. If you can't compete orders don't take them or at least apologise to a customer not shout then hang up

Food didn't even show up. Waited 2 hours then rang to get someone just hang up on me. Everything was shut by the time we realised it wasn't coming. If they had just told me the order wasn't coming I could have made other arrangements. It was my wife's birthday too

Used many times. Their level of service did go downhill for a spell with orders having the odd missing item but seems has improved lately. Food is great though.

Ordered delivery at 6pm food hadn't arrived by 8pm . rang constantly but no answer . Decided to try different takeaway who delivered in 35mins . Mouchak then turned up at 21.30 . Only 3hours 30mins after we ordered . They explained that they were busy . . No apology . What a poor way to run a business .

The food, service and quality is always excellent here. If something is wrong with your order please tell the guys here - they understand and rectify it instantly. Being really fussy with food, I have to say that this is the best takeaway I have ever used. Great value and never disappointed.

Great food tasty plenty of it warm and good value for money

Fed up of ordering certain dishes and having the wrong food or food missing , the chicken madras was awful about 5 pieces of chicken in it and the lamb pathia was quite tasteless

Love the food but absolutely HATE eating in there. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I'm not one to complain but I feel really uneasy there with how rude they are. I've been told by loads of people the staff are horrible with bad attitudes and I'm better off ordering than eating in and I've ate in there twice now and experienced this from a few of them. Storming off huffing and puffing, shaking their heads when you ask for something as well. The first time I went with work and everyone I was with said the same thing and second time was with family and they all noticed too, my family went back another time and said they were the same again. I was going to complain but had a feeling they would just chuck me out and I'd already waited for my table to be ready for an extra 20 mins on top of the original time I'd booked for so I just grin and bared it. I don't know why they have such bad attitudes, they really need to sort out their customer service. I work in a restaurant so this isn't acceptable. Terrible experience.

Lovely takeaway was a big order and the food was brilliant, one meal was missing and when contacted it was with us within 5 minutes. Great customer service, thank you.

2 takeaway curries that turned out to be tasteless, lacking in any heat or spices. Our first time here and we both love our curries but our experience left one curry we could not eat and had to be put in the bin. If that is what a bhuna should be we’ve been hoodwinked for 45 years. Sorry we won’t be back

Ordered for delivery, was told 1 hr wait. Still 2hrs 20min and no sign of the food rang twice to be fobbed off. Wont order a takeaway from here agan

Firstly we waited 2 hours for our take away to turn up freezing cold, then we opened the bag to find two main dishes missing which included the “free” chicken tikka masala and onion bhajis that they apparently give out with orders over £20, when I called the number provided on the email sent when I ordered food I was greeted with a rude man who kept telling me to hang on while he spoke to other people. When I finally managed to explain what was missing he replied with “we’ll deliver it next time” I said this wasn’t possible as we needed the food tonight and his response was “you’ll have to come and get it.” When I said I wanted it delivered he then got defensive and said “it was free anyway so does it matter” It’s very clear that they are using the free items to get you to spend over a certain amount then not delivering them, sure trading standards would like to hear about that. The person they have answering the phone is a rude badly spoken man, the food tasted like cardboard and was freezing and I got no apology from them. Waste of money.

Booked a table at this restaurant on recommendation off others who have been. We are new to the area and heard about this restaurant and thought we would go for wifes birthday, and I must say from the time we arrived till the time we left everything from service to the food was amazing nothing to much trouble for the staff. Although a little slow with bringing the food you can understand why when you put the food in your mouth. Simply the best indian we have ever been to and we've been to a few. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back soon or maybe a cheeky takeaway

Found this little gem when we went to watch the fireworks on Saturday. Atmosphere is brilliant, the staff were so friendly and the food was perfect! Lucky that we managed to get a table as it was so busy.

A great family occasion, the food was excellent and my US family enjoyed all the dishes we shared together

Visit here on a Monday evening with a work colleague and was amazed how busy this place was - people were cueing for tables on a Monday night - Wow!.Once the food arrived I could clearly see why - simply fantastic fresh quality food - well done Mouchak - I will be back.PS - Ther Monday deal - 4 corses for £10 offer amazing value!!

I only sampled the all you can eat buffet. There isn't a huge selection but it's probably just enough. It is small and a couple of loud children will easily fill the room with noise.

The Mouchak is an incredible restaurant, the food is to die for and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, if you like Indian cuisine this is a must on your list.

I’ve had to eat humble pie ...I had been there previously and had a bad experience I wrote a pretty bad review which I’ve now deleted.I don’t know how or what has happened but this Indian meal was the best I’ve ever had. . What a difference unbelievable really! It may have been a bad night previously but wow I’m eating my words ... I had king prawn madras for main it was just the best great atmosphere all been updated and upgraded it looks beautiful inside the bar has moved it all looks clean . This is so good as it’s local to me and believe me I’m over the moon it’s become a great restaurant it’s on my door step .
