Found out about this place reading of its Cymru Curry with laverbread (seaweed) served to raise money for charity during National Curry Week.

Ordered over phone for delivery. No show after 3 hrs and no one picking up phone

Had a take out meal from spice plus for the first time 2nite will deffinately order from there again really tasty food

Food took three hours to arrive, hung up when we tried to chase. Rubbish.

We had a meal over 6 months ago which was very good although it took an hr to arrive mid week. We rarely have takeaways so we decided to try again. I ordered the same dishes, after an hr and half I rang to ask if the food had been prepared they put the phone down. Called back and was told our food would be 10 mins . 20 mins later it arrived not the same quality as last time. We will not be ordering again

The smells and the menu got me really going for a nice curry but it ended there. Got home after driving by, they gave my father a korma instead of a masala, my keema rice was pilau rice and the pakoras were as dry as cardboard. Going back for the poppadoms though.

This place has been under Different management over the years and used to be my solid go. But the curries started to lose flavour and quality. Portions of meat in them not enough for one nevermind sharing it like we do. I want this place to be brilliant again. Takeaways are becoming dearer you don't mind spending the money aslong as you receive value for money and this place isn't at the moment.

This is a great curry takeaway, the chicken sag is fantastic, tried the beef curry again its great, the starters are fantastic along with the breads. Ordering is easy, quick and they endeavour to get your order on time if you go and collect. Staff service is good as well. It's my local gem of a curry house, very happy indeed!!

First time to visit Spice Plus since change of ownership several years ago. Very impressed indeed, high quality veg / vegan food very tasty and without oil. Each dish tasted different and the portions are substantial to say the least. Little wonder they are up for an award, will certainly return. Staff very friendly to. Excellent experience.

Best Indian takeaway in the area

Our regular takeaway had let us down, so decided to give SPICE PLUS a chance and I haven't been disappointed once. It's been over 2yrs and it's still our regular Indian takeaway. Great food, great prices and a fantastic front of house. Thank you for the great food and variety

Thank you spice plus. We have been looking for a good local takeaway and found an excellent one. Excellent service and the food was superb, tender meat, beautiful flavours. The naga chicken was hot but so flavoursome. Thank you again, we’ll be back!

Spice Plus will be our new go to indian takeaway. Food is absolutely delicious, not all covered in an oily residue like some are. Lobe the fact that you can log in to the website, place an order for either delivery or collection and do the whole thing online. Will be buying from here again

First time I had from food from this establishment, it was nothing more than poor but I got talked into giving the place one more go and they completed turned it around the food was lovely full of taste, I have been back a few times now and they have always near enough been on par with the good experience I had !!

I have ordered from spice plus a load of times and every time it has been really nice, all very friendly whether it is ordered over the phone or within the shop. The delivery drivers are spectacular and very helpful especially doing this kind of work throughout the pandemic. The food has very unique and delicious taste depending whether you like it spicy or not, they have an array of different dishes to suit everyone, they are officiant on time even through online.The times I have visited the shop for collection they have always been very polite and very chatty. I feel very comfortable when there and having a talk with them while waiting for my food to be cooked, they just always seem happy

Came across this takeaway through a recommendation from friends, what can I say? Everything was brilliant from the tubs it served in ( posh black ones) to packaging to the flavours of the meals. Although the competition around here is intense as there are a lot of eateries around here but they are keeping top of their game. Keep it up all the best!

We eat a lot of takeaways but this has to be the best Indian takeaway in the area! The food is excellent here and they are always great at giving recommendations. My mum is vegan and has a nut allergy but they are always super helpful and vigilant in accommodating for her. The deals on Sunday and a Monday are also excellent value, we seem to have been going every week since lockdown, one of the few things keeping us going!!

I love ordering form here because the food is always lovely and staff are lovely too. I have to give them another amazing review because of their kindness and generosity. They have given so much food away for free to the NHS workers at royal Glamorgan hospital for the night shift during this pandemic . So first order and will not be last! Go over mates every week and have tried everything around but this has blown me away! So guy answers phone can tell he is smiling (loving his job means good food to me) tells me a silly deivery time but covers it being busy but guess what it arrives very quickly. Driver is polite and the food is pipping from the carry case.So the food lets talk about the food wow just wow some of the takeaways around are quite bland and never fill the tubs but Spice Plus A plus for both my mouth was alive with flavour. Next few weeks no more trying different places this will be my regular but trying different foods as the menu is full or choices i cant wait to try!!

Ordered a takeaway, and it arrived earlier than stated which was absolutely fine. The food however was extremely average. Flavours were ok, but no more than ok. Nothing was great, nothing was terrible. We won't be going back as we think a takeaway should be tastier than that, but there was nothing wrong with the food either, I just expect takeaways to make good that is better than average!

The best Indian take away in the locality by a long way. The lamb jalfrezi was excellent. Prawn puree the best I've had. A weekly take away and never disappoints

We ordered 2 chicken Kormas, 2 boiled rice and 5 poppadoms. The food arrived within 10 minutes of me ordering, that already says to me that no care has been taken when making my order, if not, reheating the food to order. The curry itself was extremely watery. I have never tasted a curry so bland before. It was like eating boiled water. To top it off the chicken in the curry was dry and chewy. I would like to say the poppadoms were nice, but even they had an old taste to them, like they had been lying around for a while. Overall we were extremely disappointed and unhappy with our order and we will never be ordering from spice plus again! Potentially put off curry for a while!

Brilliant take away, lovely food, highly recommend.

50 minutes late than original delivery time for food is totally unacceptable. Took over two hours to arrive and late on a Sunday night too. All they could say when I called twice to complain was ‘sorry about that’. Poor service!

I ordered online. 1 chicken tikka and 1 chicken korma with rices, naan and popadom. Not only did it take around 2 hours to be delivered, it was also 10/15 minutes late. When I got the food though I did enjoy. good flavour and nice amount of spice but the sauce was very watery (had a very good taste though) The chicken pieces weren’t too big like a lot of other places either which I liked. The naan bread was soft in parts and hard in others but not a big problem and the rice was very good like an other pillar rice. The “mint” sauce however did not taste like mint. Tasted more like coriander, don’t get me wrong the sauce was nice but it didn’t taste like mint sauce. If you want a curry that tastes lovely but lacks in some qualities then come to spice plus. This is why I’m giving 3 stars

The food is good, this wont be disputed. HOWEVER, they suffer the same curse of many takeaways, taking on more orders than they are able to deliver. We were fobbed off repeatedly when chasing our order. Arrived 1.5hrs after original time. We were given extras to compensate, but it doesn't make up for a ruined evening.

Actually, we give it NO stars. Sadly, tonight, will be our LAST meal from here. We have ordered from SP regularly and recommended it to loads of friends as we have always been impressed. I ordered online at 17.15 for delivery at 7.30. At 7.45 there was no sign of our meal. I called and was told 'it's out and will be with you any minute'. 8pm; no sign. I noticed a missed call on my phone. It was Spice Plus telling me at 19.53 that the food had just been sent out. I was not prepared to pay for it; the guy said 'ok' and hung up. I called back and after telling him his behaviour was unacceptable received an apology. Food finally arrived at 20.15. The order was wrong (no keema naan). Quite frankly, it was absolutely tasteless. A Shaslick with no flavour; a Lalucha that tasted of chemicals. It's gone in the bin. What the hell has happened? I'm appalled. A former customer

The food is great but ordering online is a nightmare since they came off Just Eat. Their app deserves special mention for being so slow it's virtually unusable. Ordered this evening through their website, not realising they are closed on Tuesdays (Google says they are open) and it took an hour for an email to come back rejecting the order. 5 stars for the food. 1 star for the online ordering.

Ordered a take away last night for three people. It did take over an hour to arrive but in fairness it was on the night of Eurovision so was expecting it to take longer than usual. We ordered and paid online so I telephoned after about 50 minutes to make sure they had received our order. A really helpful and pleasant young girl on the telephone. The food was lovely and we felt it was excellent value for money. We all ordered different dishes and not one criticism. Will most definitely be ordering from here in the future.

Worst Indian takeaway I’ve ever had. Tarka Dal was just water and a bit a pulp - no flavour. Might as well have had been a mix of flour and water. Called them to ask for a replacement said I would receive it in 10 minutes... 1 hour later nothing. Called back - they said they were on their way - still nothing. Looks like I won’t be eating tonight. Don’t bother wasting your money.

Ordered a nice jalfrazy from here last week and it was spot on. just what the doctor ordered. i placed the order and then went fr a quick pint in the pub next door. i was a bit longer than expected but they kept it warm for me so happy days

Excellent service and fantastic food

Ordered 3 dishes for delivery as soon as they opened for business: Chicken Korma, Lamb Pasanda and Chicken Tikka Masala. The order arrived after an hour - it was cold and had to be reheated. Korma and Pasanda sauce was lovely but Masala sauce was bitter and obviously missing ingredients. Lamb was very tough and inedible - dogs had problems too. Avoid the Lamb!

My wife and I decided to have a takeaway and choose this restaurant as we have done in the passed , Unfortunately our meals were over 45 minutes late arriving and was Luke warm, and had to warmed in the microwave not what I was expecting really , I will think twice about ordering my meal there again as it was not the tastiest I have had ,Shame realy

Pedimos gambas paratha para empezar - gambas horrible eran tan seca - espuma? Lo espuma/salsa? Cebolla bhajees seco. Platos principales - Pollo shashlik - terrible piezas de pollo seco una pieza de pimienta y un poco de tomate. Mi pareja soecial shashlik - fue destinado a venir con pollo, cordero y langostinos - sólo de pollo en el recipiente. Así que todo bien cometer errores, pero al sonar el propietario/gerente sostuvo que había langostinos y cordero, entonces nos dijo que si queríamos que fuera de estos. Qué chiste ¡no vayas! !

Just taken delivery of a large order for 9 people. Everybody enjoyed the food, fast delivery too. Chicken tikka naga mordich is a delicious dish. Highly recommend this place!

Had a takeaway from there last night and ordered the south Indian mustard chilli chicken off the new menu, and was blown away with how good it was. Will definitely be going back soon to try something else that's new off the menu

Food was great but they forgot our kheema naans. They did deliver later but would have been five star if the order was correct.

Food is okk but everytime we order from here something is wrong or missing from our order and it takes ages to be delivered
