I have been a returning customer to taste of Bengal for over 10yrs and I can honestly say the food is allways made with care skilfully cooked by there chefs and so full of flavour and quality ingredients there menu is full of tasteful meals the staff are very pleasant indeed excellent customer care ....that's what has kept me a loyal customer Big Thanks to everyone at Taste of Bengal...

The food that I had today was chicken and prawn biryani which was amazingly tasty. I personally go for Asian food for dinner mostly and this bungal joint is one of the best places around here if you are looking for Asian spice for an affordable price! The owner is very friendly and humble guy who knows how to treat his customers in the best way possible. All the best taste of bungali 👍👍

Great take away for Indian food in Ponty. Been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal. My go to is chicken or lamb biriani with a dhansak sauce. Bangin every time. And a free curry if your order is over £35. Can’t fault it.

Amazing food in this takeaway freshly cooked with lots of flavour and outstanding customer service. Can’t recommend enough as it is a established takeaway in Pontypridd area serving the local community since 1985. Excellent delivery service Bang on time.

Wanted to say a massive thanks. Always order from here, they had one order in the past which wasn’t their usual standards but were kind enough to offer a discount along with reinsurance it won’t happen again. The food was excellent as it always is, if not even better. Clearly a business which take pride in their food and customer service. Definitely recommend.

Yesterday I ordered chicken biriyani with spicy sauce. But the taste was disgusting. It's not a biriyani just the yellow colour rice with some chicken. If you can't cook, don't open a restaurant. Even when I went there, the person who worked the front side, did not care about me. I never order food from this place.

We had a delivery from here tonight, the food was delicious.. especially the Chana masala. Decent portions all round & an extra poppadom :) we will definitely be ordering again. Thank you

Amazing taste. A lot of options to choose from. They have chicken, rice, chapati, vegetables dishes on the menu. No dining available though.

Just ordered a mixed tandoori kebab. Service was quick and portions were good sized. Very good Indian takeaway

Ordered for the first time this evening from here, our food arrived about an hour after ordering. Having not had a korma in a long while I went for korma, saag paneer and my partner had butter chicken. Overall we agreed it was the best curry we've ordered in a long long time, looking forward to our next treat from here 🤩 The only improvement could be if delivery could have been a bit quicker!

ordered Lamb Madras curry Curry was tasteless, pale, and did not even smell like a madras, Chicken tikka was the same, onion banjee cremated, food cold. will never buy food from this place again £21 of food in the food waste bin.

I’ve been having takeaways from here for years. If you want a delicious curry that’s ready in no time then visit these guys, the staff are lovely. Good food at a reasonable price, what more could you want?

There seems to be a very mixed bunch of reviews. The bad ones referring to delivery time rather than the food itself. This was my last night in the area so thought I would give it a go. Ordered online for a collection. The chap who served me was very friendly. Picked up my order and headed back to the hotel.As you look back through my reviews you will see that I am a mixed grill and Shashlik fan. I would like to think I know a good mixed grill when I come across one. My benchmarks are Southall for the mixed grill and Liverpool street for a Shashlik. These I would say are the gold standard.Both dishes from Taste of Bengal lacked any real flavour. They were the right colour but tasted really bland to the extent if you closed your eyes you would have no idea what you were eating. Such a shame as the first impressions of the place was really positive.I am giving this place an average, but only just.I would like to try some of their curries next time as these have better reviews. Perhaps next time.

Very disappointed with Taste of Bengal. We've ordered numerous times with them and usually there's either an item missing or the delivery is later than they said but yesterday was shocking. We ordered a set meal for 2 at 7.01pm. once accepted our delivery time was set for 8.10pm. 8.10 came and went. At 8.20 I checked the app for an updated time yet it states that the order was delivered at 8.10!! I called the restaurant who told me that they were waiting on the driver to get it to deliver it (bearing in mind it's now 15 minutes late and they have declared it "Delivered") At this point I contacted Just Eat customer service team for some advice. They said they could contact the restaurant again for us, I didn't see what the benefit of that would be and asked what else they could do to be told, essentially that it was nothing to do with them. The delivery arrived at 8.55pm. Thankfully it was still warm yet when we unpacked it it was missing 2 onion bhajis and the 2 naan breads. Another call to the restaurant who said they'd offer a discount on the next order (really? after this shoddy service we'd order there again?) but my wife insisted they were redelivered. They never bothered! Lesson learned. We won't order from this restaurant again and we will never order through Just Eat again either. They only provide access to Menus and nothing else, so any order you may as well order directly with the place you want to order from; there's no benefit or assistance from Just Eat if things go wrong!

This is my local Indian restaurantand an I tend to order from here at least 3 times a month and the food is always lovely but after receiving a wait time of 1 for delivery I don't expect to then wait a further half an hour for my food to arrive, shame really.

Food was absolutely lovely, everything was there and warm. However, an extra 40 minutes was added on to delivery time. If it was a big order that would be a bit more understandable but it was only 3 items. Other than that it was great - will be ordering again!

We are regular users of the taste of bengal I can't praise it enough everytime we have gorgeous curries and fast service and lovely staff! And the peshwari nans are the best you'd ever try they are freshly made and filled with coconut!Would highly recommend this lovely takeaway

Excellent food as always, slightly late on the delivery however I was kept informed.

Rice was swimming in water, curry bland and chicken tough. I'm assuming we were meant to have popadoms free, as there was a pot of onions but no popadoms? All in all, we wouldn't order from here again.

The pilau rice was lovely. I've had nicer curry and the keema nan was ok ish. However they did forget my pompadoms so the mint sauce and chutney were not much use.

First time using taste of bengal and would definitely recommend. Will use again!!

Hi I phoned at 22.15 to be told my order was on its way it had left 20 minutes ago still waited another 15 minutes why do they want to know a delivery time when they deliver 30 minutes late and I would have thought the company should be phoning me to explain that my order will be late not me phoning them

Nos pusieron el orden ideal y nos dijeron esperar la entrega en una hora. El plazo de entrega fue extendido por 20 minutos sin dar la opción de cancelar el pedido. Decidimos esperar y como no la comida llegó la cebolla bhajis pero estaban agolpadas plana, recocido y piedra fría. El naan pan estaba húmeda y de disquete. Las gambas puri y pollo cilantro era agradable pero la masala aloo era muy, muy malo, de hecho fue tirado en la papelera. No estaremos pidiendo desde este establecimiento en el futuro.

Food was good but 35 minutes late. We phoned up to check on it and were told the driver was late for work and they'd give us an extra poppadom. Ordered for the start of service as we have a young baby we wanted to get to bed but instead bedtime ended up being when food arrived so we had to reheat it. Not impressed by the lack of punctuality or attempts to make amends for the slow service!

Beautiful Vindaloo and onion bahjis we love the Vindaloo for a nice change every now and then. Yum

The taste of the tandoori chicken was OK in comparison to other times when I physically went to the outlet and collected it myself. New chef?On the plus side the food was hot, enjoyed the chicken biryani and was delivered at the anticipated time.

Ordered at 17:20 food came 19:05. Spoke to restaurant after an hour and was told driver wasn't in and had to wait. Food was hot when it eventually turned up. Would definitely order again but would pick up instead of relying on a delivery.

It's our favourite Indian takeaway. Have pretty much ordered everything off the menu and we love them all. Young man serving (fridays) is always helpful and chooses dishes for us when we get stuck. Excellent.

Food arrived 2 hours and 10 minutes utes after ordering. Almost 3 times the expected time.

Food was delicious although the garlic naan breads were burnt on one side and wasn't fussy on the coloured rice in the egg fried rice. Food was delivered without chips, phoned restaurant and they were delivered 20 mins later. Friendly delivery driver who gave us two free poppadoms for the inconvenience. 20 mins added onto delivery time, despite food burnt, extra wait and missing items I would order again

My husband and I absolutely love this curry house , best takeaways ever ,we order from here every week and have never been disappointed .the main thing I like is the fact that these currys are not oily or greasy like some places they taste more homemade than other places and tubs are always full to top and piping hot .each curry is different which is nice as a lot a curry houses seem to use the same recipie for every curry ,always deliver within the hour and staff are polite and friendly .I can recommend the lamb Bhuna, lamb madras , chicken kholipuri and chilli chicken masala .

Once again an item missing from the order even after adding a message requesting that they check order prior to leaving premises as we had items missing from previous orders. Will not be ordering from them again as they clearly don't worry about the customers.

Although I have used this restaurant for 20 years, I will not be again. They delivered 20 minutes late even though I noted I was going out. When putting out the food I realised there was a dish missing. On ringing the restaurant I was told it would take 20 minutes to deliver it. On top of all tnat, it had taken 20 minutes to deliver and was barely warm. Never again.

"Technical hitch" added nearly an hour to the delivery time. Fair enough maybe. Missing sides, eventually delivered cold after all the other food was gone. We didn't even bother telling them that the dips were all wrong (again). Decent food doesn't make up for repeated bad service. We should have known better but that doesn't alter the fact that this place is not very organised.

Food was less than hot. The food was disappointing, worst Biriani I've ever had and the naan bread was chewy. Would give them a second chance since liked them in the past.

Nowhere near as good as previous meals we have had from them. There was no taste to the Chicken Tikka Masala or Chicken Korma, the potatoes in the Saag Aloo were hard, as were the chips and the Peshwari nans had next to no taste or coconut in them. Overall very dissapointed as not the usual standard from them.
