Laura's Diner in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Where else would you see a cafe surrounded by several flocks of sheep? 🐏🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 On a Welsh mountain side in the middle of the Brecon Beacons, that's where! What a unique and enjoyable experience; sipping hot freshly made coffee, munching a lovely bacon 'butty' with the breeze blowing through the valley. Plus, a 'captive' audience, each one of the woolly creatures in the audience hoping for a free sample from my bread roll. No luck there I'm afraid. Good quality burger, fresh bun and great service from the proprietor. Will definitely use again.

Found this place by accident on the way back from a hike - figured we'd settle for some chips and couldn't believe there was an extensive vegan and vegetarian menu. Both servers were incredibly friendly, food was decently priced and portioned, and now that I know it's running again my hike will definitely pass this way again with my friends. Inside was comfy considering the size of the van, it really is a diner on wheels. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Lady taking orders didn’t know the menu. Ordered a vegan hotdog and it was 3 cheap veggie sausages in a cheap white sub with burn onions. Dirty phili Sub was kebab meat and a sausage and wasn’t very nice. They don’t provide bins and there is litter everywhere, as it gets a bit windy there.

Had a lovely bacon sausage and egg roll before our walk in the Beacons.Laura and Leanne were very friendly and have lots of knowledge of the local area... Seen Laura later in the Lamb Hotel in Penderyn and still very friendly and interested in our walk... Highly recommended her Diner.

We stopped here for lunch with my carnivore kids and husband What a choice My two children had hot dogs with chips lovely Quality My husband had a dirty dog And I got it have a vegan dirty dog it was amazing Really good service and can’t wait to go agian

Spotted this trailer on the side of the road after a long walk to the local waterfalls. We were traveling with a family member who is intolerant to gluten and dairy. And Laura’s diner was excellent, almost their entire menu has gluten free options and dairy free options. Their service was excellent even though we changed our minds a few times, they were patient and happy. They accepted contactless payment which is a great bonus.

Stopped for hot chocolate after the Four Waterfalls walk. Friendly service from Laura herself. Well worth a stop if you're passing.

Had a fantastic late lunch at Laura's Dinner recently. The vegan food is divine and the portions were generous. We had a warm welcome also. Highly recommended if you are ever in the Brecon Beacons.

An amazing little gem of a van tucked away in the Welsh hills. I was amazed at the selection. Super friendly staff. Well priced and tasty food.

Saw this place on the way home after our walk so stopped to grab some chips. Absolutely amazed at the extensive vegan menu and the super knowledgeable cook. Massive portions, tasty food, well priced, lots of vegan sauces. They do meat options too, ice cream, drinks. Staff were so friendly. Helped me over to the van with all the food and when they saw the dog, went away and came back with dog biscuits. Will always stop here now when I go to Pen Y Fan. Highly recommended. Thank you :-)

We'd just had a horrible experience in an inn a few miles back and were starving when this mobile diner popped up - certainly not something you'd expect to see when in Wales' countryside. Everything on the menu sounded great (they even had vegan options), but we went with the classic burger and chips which were both huge and tasty. They also had a condiments basket that should make any pub jealous. We couldn't believe the quality and the price tag (which came to just over a tenner for two burgers, drinks and fries) and quite honestly we joked about going back to Laura's throughout our entire stay, though we stayed a good 20 minute drive away from them. The girls at the van were equally lovely and shared some travel tips while we waited. Hugely recommended!

We stopped briefly on our way from waterfalls . The welcome was great .a very friendly local couple. I had bacon and a duck egg in a roll. Everything delicious . Highly recommended . We wish Laura and Partner luck in their bew venture . They deserve it thankyou . .

I'm still wondering if it was real: delicious food in the biggest portion ever seen! It might be the best place to eat hamburgers in Wales

Oh wow! We often travel along the road, from Pen-y-Fan to Hirwaun but have never needed a refreshment stop before. Today, a warm sunny Autumn Sunday lunchtime, we decided to pull over and see what was on offer. We were greeted by a friendly lady who was happy to wait while we were reading the menu. On ordering 2 coffees the first question was "filtered or instant?" My word, how good is that? While our coffees were being prepared we chose a Cheesy Dog and a Single Lamb Burger. Another friendly lady came to serve us and asked us so many questions about how we wanted our food, oh and would we like chips, soooo glad we said yes because they were gorgeous. We sat in to eat our food because the sun was quite hot, but there are loads of huge rocks and a bench to sit on and enjoy the food, views and fresh air. The food was amazing - real yummy diner food (awfully naughty!) and the two ladies couldn't do enough for us. They even said how nice I looked! We will definitely make sure we schedule a stop at this diner when arranging our next drive out. It was first class.

Very cheap with generous portions and very good quality, too. Well worth the visit to stock up on energy.

Midden in de wildernis kom je dit juweeltje tegen. Heerlijke scones, welsh cake en ijs gegeten. Je kunt zelfs binnen zitten. Sharpei Rosie houdt je gezelschap. Heel bijzonder en lekker

Food was freshly prepared, piping hot, tasty and well cooked. Great, friendly service and the Welsh cakes were the best I’ve tasted. Will most definitely call again.

Laura, of Laura's Diner treated us to a lovely hot coffee, 2 hot teas 2 home made welsh cakes and a scrumptious scone with jam and cream; total charge £5.00! Really! Where can you buy three hot drinks anywhere in the UK for anything less than £5.00? Laura is far too generous with her fare and far too modest with her prices. She also gave us lots of useful local information for our route home, encouraged us to return to visit more waterfalls and directed us to a fabulous Antique shop in the village near her. This was a very warm, welcome and comfortable stop, do take the time to visit if you are ever near Laura's Diner.

Great food - friendly staff and good prices. Takeaway burgers for the road more than beat my expectations. Well presented and full of flavour. I highly recommend! I can wait to go back that way on our next road trip.

Amazing ice cream and food. Laura was amazing and super friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you are going past.

We called by on a very wild and windy day so were glad for the chance to sit inside for our food. Laura is very keen to give you a good meal and she delivers it well. Our BLTs were excellent, well filled and cooked. Very reasonable as well, at £9 for two and two coffees. Thank you, we will certainly call by again when passing.

The food, the menu, the view and the service were absolutely brilliant. Fantastic range of great vegan food too, there's a special menu! Laura was absolutely lovely and gave us great advice about the best places to see nearby too. Highly recommended !

We stumbled on this place by accident but had to stop when we saw the sign! There were three of us, one vegan, one veggie and one omni so this suited all of us. Really friendly, knowledgeable staff. The food was freshly cooked to order and I couldn't believe the amount of choice for vegans! Delicious food, stunning views and lovely staff! What more could you need?

Wow what an awesome find! We stopped off for lunch after visiting Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfalls & what a treat we had. The mushroom & spinach burger was really tasty, cooked in its own little frying pan & my husband was really impressed by the bacon & sausage bap. The girls serving were lovely also. Thanks again & we’ll be back!

Laura's diner was the ideal place to chill out for a short while after a two hour walk.

We were visiting the Distillery in Penderyn and had a hr to kill. so we decided to backtrack for a cuppa as we had spotted Laura’s diner on the way. We not only had a lovely coffee, we were also seated inside and decided to try a cheese dog, what an absolute feast! Locally sourced products were Beautifully cooked by Laura. It doesn’t matter if you prefer not to have meat, as this lady caters for vegans as well as meat lovers. I can honestly say we shall be returning to this roadside caterer.
