White Swan Inn in Ceredigion

We visited Llanon for the weekend for a bit of r&r. We visited the pub for Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch. The food and service were lovely, can't wait to return.

We were heading home to Somerset with our dogs and we were hungry. We weren’t sure if it was dog friendly, or even if they did food. The friendly young lady said that they could do both. Our lunch arrived and was huge, really lovely,and very reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming ,friendly and lovely to our dogs. In short, most pubs lack something no matter how small, but not this one 10 out of 10 for everything. The best In the UK.

As we holiday close by every year we always pop to this lovely pub for unpretentious good pub food. We had numerous meals all 8 of us on 4 occasions over the week and every time we were welcomed by friendly staff. The food was lovely and would recommend the mixed grill it was huge picture attached.

Well. I would say worst I have ever eaten or not eaten. Even with my own bad cooking. Seemed like everything was frozen and either over cooked, or undercooked. We discussed with the owner who just said we should have said when we were checked on (which of course we were not). I recommend to avoid.

While on Holiday in the area, we decided to have an afternoon lunch. We chose this place as it was dog friendly, in certain areas, but not shoved out of the way. We sat in the snug, which was absolutely lovely. The lady who served us was really pleasant, she asked if the dogs could have some meat, which we said was fine, jeez we didn’t need to feed our girls afterwards 😂. Onto our food 😳 WOW absolutely outstanding, we all had different meals, but we all had the chips, the chips are definitely the best we have all tasted, really hard to describe, but imagine if a wood turner had carved them, certainly not like any chips you may have seen, or tasted. The rest of the food was truly amazing, I’ll guarantee you won’t leave here hungry, great sized portions and top quality too.

Food was really good and the price was even better. The chips were like none I've ever had before; like a crinkle cut chip, but just one crinkle - really crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle. Superb. Pizza was pretty good, not brilliant but very nice. Penderyn chicken very nice. Three bean chilli great. The Guinness was fantastic. Where it really wins is the staff. So happy to help and welcoming. "Can we have some chilli sauce to go with this?". No problem. "Can we have this off the menu, with that from the other bit of the menu?". No problem. Really great. If you are in the area, give it a go and it shouldn't disappoint.

We have been before and return every time we are in the area. Went in 4 times while there and there was always plenty of food to choose from. Very friendly owner & staff. Hopefully we will be back as can’t rate this pub highly enough.

Another enjoyable Sunday lunch served by very friendly staff where nothing was any trouble at all if needed as observed from other customers requests. Parking is straight forward with plenty of close proximity options available if the free of charge Community Council car park is full. The welcome from the landlord’s team is always genuine and caring with names and close family references always refereed to - diolch Dylan, Janet & Kevin. We limited ourselves to the main course but often have two and again tasty and plentiful with a great range of vegetables and waiter served drinks. A lovely atmosphere sat amongst locals, and holidaymakers all thoroughly enjoying ourselves.

This isn’t much to look at on the outside but it’s lovely inside. A very warm welcome was given to our party of six. There was a great variety on the menu & you could tell everything was made fresh. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. The staff looked after us really well. Will definitely be visiting again before we go home.
