Cracking out the way pub on the mountain road. Landlord was friendly and chatty. Had a log burner fire going. It’s known for Guinness and after having one I realised why. Beautiful it was. You don’t get many like that I can tell you. It’s hard ringing a truly bad Guinness in my opinion but the stuff they serve in here is top drawer. Enquire about stopovers if wanting to stay the night. The Guinness alone is worth a session. Highly recommended if a fan of the black stuff. Has a pool table. Closed on Wednesday.

Lovely warm welcome, nice and warm, reasonably priced, clean, cracking pint, of Guinness...., and landlord with a sense of humour.....

Called in one night whilst passing. Everyone was really friendly, good atmosphere and Dog Friendly. Enjoyed a nice couple of hours.

Visited twice but the first occasion the pub was closed at 2pm - a welcome pint would have been lovely then after our walk! Pub currently opens weekdays at 3pm and weekends at 1pm. We popped back the next day for a quick one on our return from Mold. We received a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar who was friendly as were the two locals who were in at the time. The pub is very traditional and in a quiet location with sheltered and unsheltered outside seating areas with nice countryside views. Prices for lager were cheap!

Well what can you say 10/10 pub fab .landlord morris great guy. Did 2 night stop over in motorhome will come back.

Just a cracking local pub in a great location. No frills but honest landlords and a good selection of everything you’d want. Plus the pub dog was lovely, friendly and quite cuddly!

A great traditional country pub . Real ales and log fire. Perfect for a winter's day

Moz, staff and the locals made our visit to remember. Though food is not served anymore Moz the landlord informed us he could get a delivered meal which is what we chose. After our meal we returned to the pub, had a super night with some of the locals...out came the microphone for some karaoke.great night.

Called in after hearing good things about this little diamond of a country pub and we were definitely not disappointed ,, made to feel very welcome the minute we stepped in , lovely log fire , appreciated as the rain hadn't stopped all day and we were cold wet and hungry ,, ordered drinks and their special home made burgers with home made onion rings salad chips coleslaw ,, best burger ever,, home made beer battered onion rings ,, very reasonably priced delicious

Tuvimos una comida fabulosa, porciones enormes! Pedí el bistec y el riñón budín de los especiales junta, Dios mío, habría fácilmente alimentado 2 personas. Magnífica comida y a un precio razonable. Gran servicio, sin duda volveremos otra vez.
