Y Gwynedd Inn & Restaurant

Llanberis, Gwynedd
21/05/2021: Lovely food - steak cooked to perfection and friendly happy service. Thank you for a lovely evening.
20/05/2021: We had Hunters Chicken Burger and Beef Burger with cheese. Drinks were reasonable and food was great...........I bet they don't sell many desserts; We thoroughly enjoyed our evening chatting with friendly staff. With well spaced out tables, we felt very safe. Will visit again when in the area. Steak night (Thursdays) was fully booked the week before so we will book earlier next time.

Y Sgwar

Porthmadog-Tremadog, Gwynedd
17/06/2021: This is an excellent restaurant. I dined there on 15/6/21. I highly recommend it - go out of your way to get there - it's worth the trip. I have hoteliers and caterers in the family so I have a critical eye sometimes. I couldn't fault anything in this restaurant. Great service, no fussing about, relaxed atmosphere, really well prepared and presented food.Book a table - it's always full.
14/06/2021: Y Sgwar was busy on Wednesday 9 June when we dined there. Yet the staff were working brilliantly, without fuss or fluster; as is often the case, you get good service in these conditions. Do try the roast belly pork, crackling melts in the mouth. Or the Sea Bass, just grilled. Absolutely great meal; great service

Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, <20£
03/06/2021: Ate at Olif one evening whilst staying the area - two adults and two teenagers. Wonderful food, a lovely restaurant and very welcoming staff.
01/06/2021: Great food, great location, great service. We had a reservation for 8:15 but they had cancellations to called to see if we wanted to eat earlier. Location is good in central betws-y-coed. Well spaced tables - very COVID-19 safe. Food was excellent. We had a platter to start and 8 dishes between 4. Great beer as well!

Gogarth, Conwy
21/05/2021: I visited here with my parter as I've always passed it when visiting Llandudno but for some reason or other not gone in.We had already booked to go to a different restaurant so we only went to have a drink, we did book beforehand just incase but as we went in the middle of the week it was very quiet. We sat at our table and we were given the menus, most of the wine prices were standard prices for bottles of wine when your out but some prices were questionable. For example a bottle of Freixenet Cava was £30, which is a bit much considering the same bottle can range from £10-£15. Don't get me wrong its a good Cava but not worth that amount. We went for a lovely, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which is definitely a fave route of mine, My fiancé isn't a wine drinker but he also really enjoyed it and worth the price of £24.The food looked lovely, and would consider coming back to try it. However be aware of the prices of some of the wine. Very friendly staff didn't catch the gentleman's name but he was very helpful and welcoming, the atmosphere is really nice, perfect place to relax with a few glasses of wine.
21/05/2021: Everything was fantastic. The service, the atmosphere, the food, drinks, price, etc. We ended up going twice in a three day trip, which I think puts into perspective how impressed myself and my partner were. On the first visit we were given outstanding service by Brian, who was charming, professional, and catered to our every need. On the second visit we once again had amazing service from Brian, and additionally from Mike, who was our main server for the night. Mike also provided excellent service with a smile on his face, and catered to all requests we had. We also were served by another waitress, who's name I did not catch, but she was excellent too. The food was extremely well presented and piping hot each time, and it was absolutely delicious. The polenta particularly impressed me, I am not usually a fan but Snooze may have changed my mind. My partner loved his scallops, and they did look incredible. The cocktails were fantastic too. The service is very fast, with the food taking less than ten minutes to arrive at the table from ordering, despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy.Shout out to Brian once again for being lovely, and I look forward to coming back when we next visit Llandudno.

Bwyty Mawddach Restaurant

Brithdir and Llanfachreth/Ganllwyd/Llanelltyd, Gwynedd
24/05/2021: Dined as a party of four and we all loved our meals. The pizzas are incredible - authentic Napoli style - and the salads were delicious. The view out over the estuary and Cadair Idris is very special! Would highly recommend!
10/05/2021: Amazing pizza's with delicious toppings. I've lost count of how many times I've visited this place. The "Cymro" Pizza is my favourite. We've had so many great pizza takeaway's from here due to lockdown, it was great to be able to sit down on the patio last week.

Black Lion

Corris/Mawddwy, Gwynedd

Castle Bistro Harlech

Harlech, Gwynedd
21/04/2021: Been locked out of Wales for months. Finally allowed back in and celebrated with a take-away from Lee. Ordered on Friday for collection Saturday. Food ( 2starters, 2mains and 2 desserts) as good as ever; served in good quality containers. Can’t wait for this COVID madness to be over.

Happy Valley Pavilion

Beaumaris, Isle of Anglesey
28/05/2021: After failing to find a suitable cafe we decided to try this place, just outside the main town by the castle and bowling green, and what a pleasant surprise. The people are really friendly and the quality of the coffee and cakes is excellent and at a sensible price. Thoroughly recommended.
28/05/2021: We were recommended Happy Valley cakes by our Airbnb host and we were not disappointed. The cakes are delicious and there is a huge variety to choose from - we came away with four different cakes and would love to return for more.Really friendly welcome and lovely setting - will definitely be back!

De Niro's

Diffwys and Maenofferen, Gwynedd

Quays Cafe

Amlwch Port, Isle of Anglesey
02/07/2021: Having stopped at another cafe in Amlwch where we were ignored, the Quays could not have been more welcoming! The covid systems were carefully but sensitively applied, and the food was excellent
30/06/2021: We drove from Ruthin to the Quay restaurant for breakfast this morning and it was well worth the drive absolutely brilliant breakfast, lovely staff and spotlessly clean. Recommend it totally, as we left we said WE'LL BE BACK.

Tribells Fish and Chip Restaurant

Gogarth, Conwy
12/06/2021: Gorgeous, fresh fish and chips. We ate in and it was lovely and clean. We had been recommended Tribells by a couple on the prom and had intended doing like them, eating by the sea but it looked so nice and you could get a pot of tea, we decided to eat in. Mushy peas and curry sauce were tasty too. Staff were very friendly, Covid safe and speedily efficient with food and drinks. I recommend Tribells 👌
12/06/2021: Greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome, the food as usual was amazing,

The Boat Inn

Marchwiel, Wrexham
06/06/2021: Visited on a blisteringly hot Friday afternoon, so was expecting it to be busy - it was! Unsurprisingly, almost every table was taken outside or had a reserved sign on. Bah! However, one of the staff approached us and told us to take a seat and they would see what they could do. Within a couple of moments the hostess came to us, explained very professionally that there may be a considerable wait for food. They kept us informed throughout our wait - superb service! . We were not in a rush, and wanted to sit and look at the beautiful surroundings. Our food and drinks were delivered to us well ahead of the suggested waiting time. All the staff were so friendly and attentive - they had my every sympathy working in the blazing sunshine. A special mention to the lady with long blond hair in the navy jumpsuit (manageress?) - what an example of superb professionalism - top marks! Well done to all the team at The Boat, a shining example for others to follow.
05/06/2021: Visited for a long awaited and anticipated lunch. From ambience to quality of food and service nothing fell short of 5 star review. Cannot wait to repeat the most enjoyable dining experience. Well done to the whole team you certainly deserve to go from strength to strength.

The Nags Head

Smithfield, Wrexham, <20£
11/05/2021: Came for lunch during a break from work. Nachos snd Chicken and Bacon Salad. Kind attentive staff. Quick service. I live hundreds of miles away but should I come back to Wrexham I’ll come back here!
23/04/2021: What can I say...nags head is a great pub to visit in general with good, fair priced food and quick service ...not only that Chris the landlord has kept his punters entertained throughout the pandemic with a weekly online interactive quiz making a rubbish situation a bit easier! If you want a laugh and banter, head here! Thanks, Lynz
