We’ve been here a few times now for Sunday lunch with the family. Lovely, home cooked, traditional food. Choice of roast meats, lots of freshly cooked veg. Offer a good children’s menu and our grandchildren love the spag bol. Highly recommended for a well cooked meal in a comfy atmosphere.

We’ve just enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch of roast beef and all the trimmings. Very tasty and good portions. Why cook at home in isolation when this is available at a very reasonable price? Just noticed that there are also offerings with quite a choice of meals at other times in the week. We’ll certainly be back!

Popped in during a snow storm with my youngest teenage daughter, very welcoming and cosy. Great ambiance, Sunday roast menu looked excellent value. Will be returning in the New Year with the rest of my family. Car park small but plenty of space in the village.

Stopped off at the sun inn and we had the sunday roast with garlic mushroom starter. Food is piping hot and served an excellent meal. The pub has a real character feel about it and the landlady ensured we were seated and had drinks straight away. Nice friendly locals ,great food and a little gem of a place. Would definitely recommend it.

My better half took me here for a romantic meal/treat out and fair play the Owner and staff are a delight!! Food was bloody gorgeous. I had chicken strips with chill for starter and they were perfect! Crispy, no fat and tasty! I then had a steak and it was cooked to perfection! All in all a lovely country pub that is out of the way BUT well worth it! I’ll/we’ll be going back! X

We were cycling through the village in search of somewher to have lunch. Although the pub was closed the owner (who was there clearing up) allowed us to use the facilities and buy some cans of diet coke and some bar snacks. Much appreciated.

I had booked for myself and some friends to have a meal at the Sun prior to going across the road to the Church hall for the annual panto. The service, as always, was friendly and helpful. Food portions are generous, so don't expect to eat your way through three courses! My friends and I all opted for a starter and a main course. Even though we were pushed or time, owing to needing to get to the panto for 7.30, we wouldn't have been able to eat a third course. The prawn cocktail starter was a meal in itself. The garlic mushrooms in a cream sauce was a huge steamy bowlful, although the addition of some crusty bread would have been a useful addition. The liver and onion main course was a very generous portion accompanied with mustard mash and peas. Declared delicious by a very fussy eater ! The salmon fillet on a bed of salad was a really large chunk of perfectly poached salmon and very moist and tasty. I chose a special, of a home made 8 oz beefburger with the usual trimmings. A good choice and not something which I would usually opt for, but I was well pleased with it. A very tasty, meaty burger and no fat. The entire pub was very warm and cosy and they seem to have eradicated the problem with the cold blast coming into the main room when the lounge door is opened. Car parking is quite limited but there is ample parking in the lane available. Slightly off the main road but well worth finding, either for a drink with friends or for a meal. Highly recommended.

Si no has probado todavía, os exhorto a hacerlo!

If you think that truly traditional pubs have all but died out, then call in at The Sun Inn, Eryrys. It's is a genuine village pub, complete with a warm welcome, log fire, friendly locals, good beer and excellent pub food at a very reasonable price. It's been there for centuries and I always call in when I'm walking in the area, which is quite often. Dogs are also welcome. It hasn't always been this way by any means but the current licensee and owner, Vicky Jones, bought it about 9 years ago and has worked wonders. I visit a lot of pubs when I'm out and about walking but The Sun's my favourite by far. Well worth a visit.

This pub has the most friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Dog friendly and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Food is cheap and cheerful, you can tell it's all home cooked, never had a bad meal here the food is beautiful! If you go on a Thursday you can do the pub quiz which is a lot of fun, they have sandwiches after which is great! They have specials on most days as well as a diverse menu, the desserts are really nice too! Haven't got a bad thing to say about The Sun Inn, it's my favourite pub!

This friendly pub was recommended by local people we met and we were not disappointed by the service or the gorgeous grub. The roast beef melted in the mouth, no fat to be found on any of our meat. Gorgeous.Served with plentiful potatoes and selection of vegetables. My partner opted for a starter of pea and ham soup, homemade and delicious. And we all tried the delicious desserts of meringues and summer fruits, sticky toffee pudding and waffles - all to die for and huge portions.Great value at 9.95 for two courses.Really friendly owners and great service from our waitress.Already planning to return as son as we are in the area!Recommended.

We called in for a pint during a walk on a wet summers day. We were able to take the dog into the bar area, where there was a wood burning stove giving out much needed heat and to dry off our wet dog!The locals were all very friendly, just a few when we first arrived, but it was very busy by 5.30pm.The ale was very well kept, I think we had 'Conwy Brewery, Welsh Pride', their guest ale, then the regular ale 'Thwaites Bitter' which was lovely and malty. We had a look at the menu and as they started serving food at 5.30pm we decided to eat there. We both had Braised Steak in Guinness with mustard mash and veg, which was very tasty and home cooked, we also decided to share a dessert, Apple pie and custard. We don't eat out on a regular basis, but were both very impressed with the quality of the food. I think the dining room was full by 6pm, so other people were having to eat in the bar like ourselves, because we had the dog with us.There was one lady serving at the bar and also having to wait on tables as the waitress's didn't arrive until 6.30 or so. She was rushed off her feet from 5pm and did her job with good humour and patience. We are going to be moving to the area, hopefully in the next six months or so and this will be the nearest pub in walking distance, so we look forward to becoming locals! My tip would be to book a table if you want to eat in the dining area as it does get very busy.

We had a party of 12 and everyone was as impressed with the service and the food. Paul the restaurant manager advised us to pre book our meals which we did and on arrival we were greeted by very attentive staff and our table was. ready for us. Our food arrived quickly and everyone enjoyed the occasion. I would think most of our party would return again, it was that good

Lovely pub which my friend introduced me to last week. Having never heard of the place I would say it is a hidden gem. We had the best steak butty and chips I have ever eaten. The surroundings were just perfect nice decor, gorgeous fire, spotlessly clean toilets and friendly staff. Going back this week as I enjoyed it that much. Would thoroughly recommend.
