The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Food was A1 going bk to have the fish and chips 🍟 tonight ,and Gemma was so accomadating give her a raise

Clean pub, nice food and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We had our evening meal and breakfast the following day here. Both meals were really hot, tasty and you got a lot for your money. The man who served breakfast was polite and helpful even though he was really busy. We will definitely return.

Called in for a snack while my car was being done in Kwik fit. Food was well priced, fresh and tasty. I ordered via the app and it was delivered quickly

35 minute wait for a £56 meal for 3 that was awful cod was in broken pieces and the curry sauce was like brown water, £14 for cod and chips with hardly any chips

We were visiting in the area and fancied a cooked breakfast. We were seated quite quickly & ordered 2 full breakfasts including drinks & continental breakfast. Continental breakfast included yoghurts, fruit, croissants, pancakes, toast, cereals etc. There wee juices on offer and tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast a waitress came and took your order, disappointed that everyone else around us, their orders has been taken and they sat down after us, so i asked and then someone came out. The cooked breakfast took over half an hour to come out and we were sat in the restaurant for an hour & a half in total. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed it. It was £10.99 each which was good value.

Friendly staff. Went for meerkat meals which seemingly they don't do but the app promises they do. Staff helped all they could. Food was good and for st David's not too overpriced.

Fantastic for a spot of lunch. The smaller portion of hunters chicken was brilliant for myself as I have a smaller appetite but my partners mixed grill was way more than he could finish! Really good quality and portions for the money. Will definatley be planning a return visit in the near future!

Proper old style bohemian pub with multiple rooms of various sizes. Well worth a visit if you're in Abergavenny.
