Lunch Tuesday 11.2.25. I love fish and chips, and I’ve never eaten better. Huge portion, crispy light batter, so tasty, perfectly cooked fish, and lovely chips. Amazing value, great staff too, attentive without being overbearing. Cant wait to go again. X

We bought fish and chips x 2 plus 2 curry sauces to take away, when we got back to our caravan and opened the food we noticed the chips just looked warmed up and believe me one of the fish portions was not battered absolutely unbelievable so I would avoid this place like the plague most of the food went straight into the bin. Shocking

We stayed in a family room for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable although a little warm. We finally managed to turn off the radiator in the bathroom as it was extremely hot to touch - not ideal, especially with a young child. I was wary after booking as had seen reviews complaining about disrepair in the rooms but the building is nearly 200 years old! There were a couple of cracks in the plaster where the coving was but there was nothing that would be a hazard! The staff were friendly and the food was lovely when we had an evening meal. We would definitely return.

This is one of the only pubs right in the city centre and as such you'd think it would be better...sadly it's lacking. Whilst the real ale was okay other drinks are average at best. The food is typical pub food nothing special. However it's the toilets that really pull this place down they are badly in need of refurbishment, the cubicles in the ladies are so small they're a joke...and no disabled facilities...

Looked for a nice pub serving Sunday lunch, looked on Tripadvisor at Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, knowing we were passing this place on way home from St David’s had a look at the pictures, good looked lovely so rang and booked. The food did not disappoint, absolutely stunning Sunday lunch, very friendly staff who were attentive to all diners. Highly recommend stopping here and they also do rooms, chatting to the owner who is very welcoming to all, runs a lovely Gastro pub in a lovely Welsh village 💪

This is not posh nosh.... this is good hearty food, freshly prepared and served in good sized portions with an extra serving of friendly staff and family owners who made us feel so welcome. My jacket potato was enormous and quite possibly the best I've ever tasted.....light and creamy potato, perfectly cooked with the skin done to perfection. ...I have potato envy now because I can't even find potatoes that size in the shops let alone cook them like that. Hubby's beef curry was properly homemade and the meat was melt in the mouth. It's licensed and supports the local micro brewery by selling their beer.
