The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Eggs, pre cooked and dried out, can't be healthy to leave 24 eggs under hot lights. Sausages luke warm, hash browns inedible, beans more juice than beans. Toast was good but we did that ourselves. No point in complaining because it's clearly the norm. Choice of instant or filter coffee.

Popped in for friends to have a pint of SA. Atmosphere was friendly and comfortable.

Lovely ambience in the dining room and a spacious table but I had the Thai noodles and they weren’t very nice at all. Far too much salty sauce and overdone vegetables. But the worst part of the visit was the music. Nobody, ever, wants to hear Agadoo, least of all at 1pm on New Year’s Day. The rest of the playlist was equally bad.

Not a great experience. Slow and poor bar service. Toilet seat broken completely, cold in the seating area. Coffee machine broken so only serving instant coffee Just won’t return

Fab Town centre location, friendly staff, lovely food and decent wine.

My daughter & I are the fussiest eaters, the food is always spot on! Tried other places whilst they were closed for refurb and nowhere compared or even came close! Lovely staff, and their delivery drivers are thee loveliest, polite people, also the reason I always order with New Best Kebab! (Not to be confused with a similar named Kebab house close by, who I tried during the refurb and was not happy with)

What a fantastic Christmas lunch. Cannot thank you all enough. Food was lovely and the service was great. Will definitely be back in the new year

What a great Christmas dinner yesterday been a few places over the last year's but that beat the lot great meal staff thanks

Turned up at 2:30 today to be told there were no tables available until 4pm yet the lady behind the bar had sat 2 people in front of us straight away and there were times available to book today on their website at the same time we had turned up. Make that make sense. The couple in front of us were told that it would be 45 mins to an hour wait, which I understand if it's busy but there were tables available and other people were found a table before us. How can you treat people differently to others. Please explain that to us bumble bee because it makes no sense. UPDATE Thanks Mr Lewis for commenting back to me. I would like to first comment on the fact that we were NOT told by the lady at the bar that the couple in front of us had the last table. We were told that there was no tables until 4PM, although there were 1 or 2 tables that were dirty and could have been cleaned for us to be able to have the chance to dine or have a drink at your establishment. I find what you had stated to be not the truth and for you to place a request upon my review to be removed because 'we didn't dine or drink at your restaurant' is unfair. How could we when we didn't have the chance to? Your website clearly stated that there were bookings available to be made 2:45pm onwards, therefore how can your website state that when you have 'no tables available' is beyond me. I find this response to be rather confusing and not all the truth. Me and my family used to dine at your restaurant a lot as we always had a very happy and nice meal or 2 there, however this experience has put me off wanting to dine at your establishment again. I hope you see this comment and find out the truth, rather than give some form of answer which doesn't speak any truth in it. We understand that places are busier than ever, especially with it being Christmas yet it left me and my mother baffled by how there was clearly room for 2 more paying customers. I hope to get a reply from you, yet I don't expect one really.

They do the best breakfast eggs here. Other wetherspoons ate hit and miss but they always cook them perfectly

We visited this sea view fish and chips restaurant on Thursday, just as if opened for lunch. Absolutely delicious food! Lovely hot drinks, friendly staff.

Lovely staff, rooms were clean and tidy, but the place needs a bit of love, furniture needs replacing, old and tired, but end on a high, I would go there again.

Outstanding food. Choice of four meats and as much veg as you can eat. Gravy was lovely and tasty and thick, just how I like it. Had a New York cheesecake for dessert which was delicious. My only complaint is that my coffee didn't arrive until I had started to eat my carvery. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Always a warm welcome we usually book a table as we wouldn't want to be disappointed. Service fast and efficient ordering food is simple plenty of choice and reasonable price. Foodpresentedwell. Nice size portions. Not to big just the right size portion always cooked to order and arrives hot . Very tasty.
