Seaview Restaurant Limited in Pembrokeshire

This is not posh nosh.... this is good hearty food, freshly prepared and served in good sized portions with an extra serving of friendly staff and family owners who made us feel so welcome. My jacket potato was enormous and quite possibly the best I've ever tasted.....light and creamy potato, perfectly cooked with the skin done to perfection. ...I have potato envy now because I can't even find potatoes that size in the shops let alone cook them like that. Hubby's beef curry was properly homemade and the meat was melt in the mouth. It's licensed and supports the local micro brewery by selling their beer.

Great views. Lovely staff. Limited menu but plenty for us. If you don't expect a lot then you will enjoy your visit. We try to go every year.

We stopped here for lunch, and the view from our table was amazing. I had the chicken tikka masala, while my friends ordered fish and chips and a sausage and bacon dish without eggs. One of my friends received a children’s portion since he didn’t want eggs, so he had to order another portion separately. I also ordered naan bread, but it never arrived. When the staff asked if I had ordered it, my friend confirmed that they had taken my order. The staff then checked and admitted they had written it down but forgot to bring it. Since I was already full, I asked for it to be removed from the bill, which they did. However, they should double-check orders before serving. The food was okay overall. While we were dining, a group of five guests arrived and tried to join tables together. The staff told them to return the table, as it wasn’t allowed, but the way she said it came across as unfriendly. I think that may have been why the group left. That said, the guests should have asked first before moving tables.

Popped in today to grab a fish n chips by the seaside. Walked in and it felt like a western , cafe went dead silent as I gently asked if there was space for me and my entourage . Initially a friendly response and pointed to two tables by the window. Ideal I thought. I called in my rabble who were told to hide the push chairs by the kitchen. As there were more than 4 of us my wife started moving the tables together . We were shouted at immediately, told it was smash the glass on the table . It was all very awkward . The cafe is on the piss , felt like we were going to fall into the sea . Shame the place hasn’t don’t so yet! We felt so awkward that we had to run out. As I did so I spotted the waitress tucking into the leftovers from people before us. Probably leftover for a reason as it looks like we have dodged a bullet . Don’t go unless you fancy a bit of attitude for not much reason.

Lovely cafe with the best view. Very welcoming. Able to get a table by the window. Food was great value compared to some of the other places we checked out. Fish and chips lovely, Gammon lovely.

Unbelievable views, super friendly staff and fresh, hearty food. You've not visited Tenby unless you've visited Seaview cafe. Oh and pray they have the Beef Cawl on special. We loved it so much we ordered an extra one to take home.

Was my birthday today so I was taken out to this place which must have shares in Iceland. Good grief, the food was appalling. And top dollar prices. The waitress was aggressive, rude and impatient. It felt like we were being told off. One of the most unwelcoming places I have visited. It asks below... What dish would I recommend... Erm that's a tricky one.

I loved that there were two types of coffee to choose from, only problem is they were both soooo bad. It was like stewed filter coffee. The hot chocolate was watery and not really chocolatey. The staff were friendly. The place was clean. The view was excellent.

Lovely little cafe on top of the beach with great views. The woman serving us was super friendly and welcoming and was very attentive. I ordered a hot chocolate and she recommended a shot of baileys and I was very glad I took her advice 🥰

Stopped off to have a full English Breakfast. Absolutely delicious. Great value for money. Service was so friendly and prompt. And you couldn't get better views from the windows of the beach. The restaurant was extremely clean, and tables were cleared as soon as people left. I can't recommend this restaurant/cafe enough. Pop in for a cup of tea, natter, and enjoy the views or have a meal. Either way, you will leave with a warm tummy and a smile on your face 👍👍

Dirty, ignorant owner, extortionately priced food, an omelette is £12, a cheese sandwich is £11, there's a place round the corner doing paninis for £4.95 and yet this place charges £12. Old stale chips, small portions and the manager / owner wears false fingernails even though he is a man working in a restaurant / cafe. Utterly disappointed and will be avoiding this place if we come Tenby again.

My husband and I both had a large breakfast there this morning. Lovely. Pretty busy but service was excellent, freshly cooked. Glorious sunshine with the most amazing view. Recommended ...

Food we had was ok, typical greasy spoon breakfast; absolutely no deviation from the breakfast menu allowed, another party were not allowed to pull two tables together to accommodate a party of 8 (hardly huge)which would have inconvenienced no one. Lovely views of the beach.

Sea View Tenby- Fabulous restaurant- went for breakfast. views over the Bay are Stunning. We received a Friendly welcome. Excellent helpful service from all staff members. Menu offers good selection. Order promptly taken. Food freshly prepared it was delicious- especially enjoyed Vegetarian option - good selection of items. Clean and tidy. Highly recommend

Saturday before ironman, we walked in, they had space but a rude member of staff shouted "Breakfast? BREAKFAST? YES?!" with a wide eye glare. Good morning to you too.. Eventually when we sat down, the staff member waitressing was very nice and helpful. And said if we wait 10 mins the lunch menu is starting. Can't fault her. The food is nice albeit pricey and the final bill didn't add up to the listed menu after we queried it. As the menu is outside. I didn't bother going back in as she wasnt exactly the friendliest at the main counter. It was about £4.70 more than what the menu stated. Toilets are impossibly small. Won't return as there are friendlier places. I see from the reviews that the issue with attitude is an ongoing concern. Let's see how many 5 star reviews immediately follow this now ...

Not dog friendly despite the sign in the window saying so. Decided to have breakfast here before leaving Tenby due to the lovely views, unfortunately that's seems to be the only thing this place has going for it. We sat by the window and ordered our food and drinks, and then then we were asked to move as we had a dog,we were moved to the doorway, next to a castle of the days stock that hadnt been put away, with a view of the takeaway menu. I asked if the food could be cancelled as the only reason we chose the cafe was due to the views, we we told it was too late to cancel the food. When the food came it was less than average, I'm surprised that it couldn't be cancelled as it was clearly from a bain marie and had just been dished up. Veggie sausages were dried us vegetable croquettes, beans were cold, mushrooms tasted like tinned mushrooms,eggs were good. We then got the wrong bill as "we moved and confused the waitress" despite it being the same waitress that actually moved us. When we mentions it was not our bill the person behind the till snatched it out of my hand and huffed like it was an inconvenience to get us the correct bill.Cost £25 for 2 breakfasts and 2 cups of tea that did not deserve the price. Apart from the views the place really has nothing going for it, very dated, holes in the floor, not a very nice toilet that is up 2 flights of stairs. Amazed such a place has managed to get the prime views it has. They did have a dog bowl out with water, however, it was dirty and looked like it had been there for days and contained half the streets dirt from peoples shoes. I dont expect a dog bowl to be left out but if you are going to put one out make sure its not a health hazard.

Other than the view, we don't have anything positive to say about this cafe. 1. The cost of items on the menu on the pricey side. 2. The waitress gave the feeling that we were doing her a favour by being there, didn't give any encouragement to choose anything. 3. We decided in the end to have a cup of tea. One of my pet hates is for tea to be served with the tea bag left in the mug. By the time it reached us, it was like stew. We didn't stay long as the tea wasn't enjoyable so I didn't drink it all. The table right next to us couldn't get over the cost of their meal for 4. One had a salad & left most of it as she didn't like it. Won't visit this unwelcoming establishment again.

My walk got rained off so I called in for some shelter and a late breakfast. I was on my own so I sat at a small table but the lovely young woman clearing tables said I could move to a window seat if I wanted to - this was really nice as it was a table for 4. I had a standard breakfast, which I struggled to finish, and a really nice cup of tea. The two women waiting tables were friendly and patient in what suddenly turned into a really busy time of day. Would recommend!

We visited today as a family (with our dog as well). We had a fabulous meal, very reasonably priced and the service was incredible. Everyone was really friendly, polite and couldn’t do enough for us. Will 100% be visiting again. Thank you everyone at Seaview Restaurant.

Not great avoid!!! Basic food thats definitely well overpriced...£11.50 for a tuna sandwich with a salad garnish. Scones are stale and not freshly baked. Definitely would not recommend

Fantastic Fish and Chips Service was brilliant

The best thing about this place is definitely the view, but honestly you can just stand outside and it’s basically the same thing. The food here is pretty average, worse than a home cooked meal but better than school lunch. The fish in the fish and chips was a bit dry and the whole vibe of the restaurant is a bit run down. The bathroom is also really gross and you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get there. The staff is nice though and the food isn’t like the worst, there are just so many better options.

Quaint slanted floor, always wondering if it's going to fall when you walk in!! But food is good and well presented, staff busy but always got time to have a word or two.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a friendly smile and taken to a table. The food is stunning, we had a large breakfast, it was hot and the produce was of a high quality. I would highly recommend.

Had fish and chips and it was lovely. Fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was light and crispy. All staff were really friendly and helpful and even though they were about to close they told us to take all the time we wanted. No idea where the negative reviews about staff attitude come from, they were all lovely to us

June 2024 . Ordered food from lovely young blonde waitress . Then moved to the next seat ( window ) as it became available and another waitress dark hair & glasses scowled at us and told us off for moving tables as she now nesss to clean two tables , our food hadn’t even arrived so no mess made ! I literally thought she was joking when she told us off ! She was extremely rude in front of everyone in the cafe , so we left . She’s an absolute disgrace & should be sacked !

I have reviewed this cafe before a few years ago, I thought it was only fair to give it another go. I did have a feeling of reluctancy to go again but I’m glad I did. On entry we were met by a loverly lady who we think maybe the owner, she was very helpful and chatty throughout our visit. I had a full breakfast which was really nice, food was good quality and cooked to my liking. We had several drinks which were all served quickly and with a smile. The views are still as amazing as I remembered them from my childhood. Its place is clean and tidy and has probably one of the best views over north beach in Tenby. You really must visit during your stay! I will definitely return. I have removed my old review as it’s only fair because this place is now worlds apart from my last visit. My only negative is, there is still a couple of members of staff of the older generation who aren’t so customer focused but they stayed out of the way behind the counter for most of the time so you probably won’t even notice them. The view on the sea there is 10/10. Food is quite simple and good. Service quick and professional. Interior is canteen style. Recommend for quick breakfast or lunch.

The Seaview Cafe has a pleasant atmosphere complemented by possibly one of the best views in Tenby.

Overpriced sandwich. It was cheeses and onion and was so dry. No mayonnaise only salad cream. Fish and chips are of the frozen variety so very disappointed

We ordered takeaway coffee and cake and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and the coffee and cake were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

MAY 23rd 2024:- What a gem of a place, staff were very accommodating and friendly, food was delicious (welsh beef curry (hot) with rice & side salad) (jacket potatoes with cheese&beans and side salad). We were seated by the window and enjoyed every moment. Clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. Will be going back to try more of the menu. This restaurant is also a takeaway.

Really good breakfast value for money and tasty. Very clean beautiful views and friendly staff. Had breakfast in a few cafe in Tenby this week all were poor but this was the best by far. Definitely a place to go and have breakfast.

Great views over the harbour can be got by selecting a window seat. Food was hot & well presented, but thought a bit over-priced, but then you get that view.

The location is fantastic. However, the fish and chips were not good. Frozen chips and frozen fish . Quite tasteless and at over £15 a portion I'd expect better .

Amazing restaurant, I love the service, the quality of the drinks and the view. We had a table near the window with the beautiful view of the sea. Staff are super friendly and nice. I highly recommend this place :-)

We can recommend the fish and chips. We ate at 3.30 and got a sea view on a lovely sunny day. Not cheap but the view was worth it.

Staff were super friendly and the food was simple and delicious. Perfect little place to eat if you need to grab some lunch or need to get out of the Welsh weather! Definitely will be returning.

Travelled specifically to visit this cafe, as it was an anniversary date for us and we had been here one year ago. So we wanted to mark the time by revisiting. The place has great views, and that’s the end of the positives. Very rude staff! They were rude to us and another group- repeatedly rude. It was as if we were doing them a massive favour (or more like hindrance) for hoping to sit down and have a drink/food. Watched two people (who were together) leave due to how they were spoken to. Honestly avoid, there are far more welcoming Cafes within the same street. The service is worst when it’s busier

The food was very nice and was well decorated but the floor is tilted a bit. Overall it is a fantastic place to visit!

Got charged nearly £8 for two J20s, deffo not the same price specified on the menu - and the glasses we were served with were dirty 😳 won’t be returning feel a bit ripped off

Can't understand some of the reviews. The staff were friendly enough we were ask to take a table, the seaview tables were all taken we had seated ourselves but a table became available but we were happy where we were. The meal was served reasonably quickly and was well cooked and presented maybe a little expensive but it was good honest fare. If you want something like the Savoy go there otherwise see these seaside establishments for what they are good honest more often than not family run businesses use them or lose them simple as

Avoid at all costs! Ordered on arrival to put my umbrella in the stand. Not even a welcome first. At that point we should have walked away! Breakfast was £8.50 , didn't include or toast. The plate was bulked out with beans, the sausages reheated and the bacon cremated. Add to that an egg dripping in oil and you get the picture. I also had to request cutlery after being served. Maybe they expected me to eat it with my fingers! Never again will i set foot in this place. You are paying for the view and that is all!!!!

Avoid, avoid, avoid! I should have read the reviews before calling in for a breakfast. On entering was told / ordered to leave my umbrella in the stand before even being greeted. A standard cooked Breakfast was £8.50 and that didn't even come with tea or toast. Had to request cutlery after my breakfast was served. At least the breakfast was hot , that and the view are the only good things i have to say about this place. I wont be frequenting again as there must be better places in Tenby.

I’ll say I was surprised at the last review on Seaview. My experience was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cottage pie and tiki Marsala was great and large servings The views were spectacular.

Honestly, I didn't know they had a Karen's Diner in Tenby?! The customer service was laughable, really I mean we and the other customers were actually laughing at the audacity of the staff! We sat in a window seat and ordered hot drinks. I don't know how we managed it because anyone else who dared try sit in the window were barked at "food only in the window. Are you having food?" Apparently you can only sit in the window if you are eating a meal. The drinks arrived in white cafe cup, a bit grubby looking (although not actually dirty) and basic. The drinks were not great and cost a lot. There are multiple big, bold signs on the walls stating not to move the tables and to order at the till, it didn't seem like a polite request. As we left two of the staff were in the kitchen where the till was loudly discussing and mocking customers who were both in the cafe and those who had left. Then one of them shouted over to a customer on the other side of the cafe instead of going over to talk to them. It really was a laughable experience! We had waited a long time to visit this place with it's lovely view, but we won't be returning.

Was going to eat here, sat down for food was asked at the door if it was lunch I said yes at it was almost 12....lady took our order, partner wanted a breakfast which stopped at 11.45 ...couldn't have it...lady said to my partner I asked her if it was lunch and she said yes...wow sorry I didn't know I was agreeing to which menu I could order from when entering....anyways looks like we weren't missing anything from ppls reviews except the view!

Very supportive with my husband doing Ironman. Dog friendly and the food is excellent. The staff go out there way to make you fell welcome. We be back next year

I visited this place whilst in Tenby. On recommendation from a staff member. Was in another shop waiting to pay for items whilst discussing where to go for a quick bite to eat. The person behind me suggest Seaview Café. So decided to go and guess what the same person was behind the counter. I ordered my food a Chip barm AKA butty. Which cost me £4.20 (very expensive) I asked were the chips proper chippy chips and was told yes. I got my food and went to seat on the harbour. The chips were cheap frozen chips that were disgusting. Please avoid this place

What a fabulous place and staff , chloe,molly ,Sean and susie, couldn't do enough for us ,polite funny, we were there out for the day for our anniversary..they made us feel really welcome ,and the food was absolutely fantastic , all had different meals but all were well presented and hot ...fantastic and thank you

Fantastic view over the harbour. The breakfast was first class, staff could not do enough for us and our Bulldog Nellie, bringing her fresh water and a bowl for her sausages. As I said the food was delicious. My partner said it was the best she’d had during our break in Tenby Definitely return next time we’re in town. Phil & Mandy

We just had a lovely breakfast - 2 adults and 3 children. Cooked perfectly and good size. Great service from the waitress, polite and friendly staff all round. Added bonus was the beautiful views. Fully recommend.

Absolutely amazing fresh fish caught on the same day! Staff is super friendly and they are dog friendly too if you have fur babies 10/10
