Fantastic family lunch. The festive menu was brilliant! Kids enjoyed it also. Service was efficient and friendly. Lucy was on the ball with my husbands allergies. Will visit again soon.

We booked again this year for our annual Christmas 🎄get together. We all ate off the Festive Set Menu and WOW😋. It was delicious, cooked beautifully. It is always so busy which I think proves it is the best place to come to. I never understand why some people are so rude about their visits. In 10 years we have never had a bad meal or poor service. Thank you for yet another amazing visit and we look forward to seeing you again in the new year

Ordered the hunters chicken,eventually,when it arrived at the table,the chicken was over cooked and so hard around the edges,that it was impossible to eat.I suggest to replace the chef,as i personally fail to see how chicken breast can be over cooked so much.This is our 2nd time here,but this has put me off returning again.The standard of cooked food here is very poor,in my experience and honest opinion.Steer clear,unless you want to waste your money 👎

If you have allergies, this is the place to eat. Twice now we have been and their attention to detail is second to none. Prices are reasonable and service exceptional. All of the staff incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. Special mention to the manager who came over to see us before we were seated and the girl taking our order who double checked. I hoenstky which all restaurants taken allergies this serious. Would rate 10 stars if I could. Special mention to the haloumi fries. Wow!!

If they would speed up service it would be the best place for food ,and ideal for families and atmosphere and stop all the negativity about slow service it would be a great place and good value to

To start on a positive - The steak was lovely :) unfortunately my friends halloumi fries were burnt and hard. It was extremely busy, I’m not sure if it was short staffed? But the staff seemed very flustered and busy. We got moved from our table in a dining area to a small table in the bar area, we’d already waited 40 mins after food to order cocktails and dessert but nobody came except to move us (in which I then asked could I order but told to wait) Then waited another 35 mins for someone to come take the order - which never happened - so we paid and left, without the dessert and drink that we’d wanted and 75mins wasted waiting for things :( My last experience was really positive and I’d left a positive feedback and generous tip then. I feel bad pointing out the negative but was just our experience. It has put me off coming back unfortunately

Restraunt has a v nice interior, the front of house was v pleasant and courteous and he showed us to our seat which we had not booked. The female attendant took our drinks and main meal order, 2 sirloin steaks, one was med rare and the second medium as I don’t like to see blood on my meat. The attendant was just efficient, first thoughts were that she appeared v authoritative and not particularly friendly, she was overseeing many tables. Our meals came after about 2030 mins. first impression of the steaks were that they looked too firm and constricted. My initial judgement proved that the steak was hard to cut with the steak knife. It was difficult to chew even when I cut the meat across the grain into small pieces. The female attendant after 20 mins came to ask us if our meals were OK, should have come sooner. I told her that my steak was terrible and my husband’s steak not good but he doesn't like to complain. She blamed the supplier of the steak, not the chef. I said that the steak should never have been sent out to us as customers. Take it off the menu, not available, after all it LOOKED hard!The attendant became overbearing to myself as a 77yr old lady and insisted loudly many times that it was the supplier’s fault. Her manner was most unplesant and to release myself of her rant I had to tell her to go away. IT would have taken too long to put in another order, the damage and spoil to our occasion had been done, we just wanted to leave.I struggled to eat half the steak and was not charged for my steak. An unpleasant experience, mostly from that waitress who needs retraining on customer care. It was our first visit to The Lost Coin.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the lost coins, service was great and food was delicious, plenty of it and extra gravy if we wanted it! One of our party had a diary intolerance which was accommodated for. Matt behind the bar was really efficient and made sure we were well looked after. Will definitely be back for Sunday lunch.

Very efficient staff, good food and pleasant atmosphere.

We had the ham hock with mustard sauce, and it was extremely tasty . The service was really good.

Table for two in lovely spot by the window as requested when booked Staff friendly, attentive and efficient (all these hugely important) Food delicious although a bit skimpy with the halloumi fries side:-( Gave 9 instead of 10 as nobody at the bar when we arrived so stood there like a couple of lemons :-/ Look forward to returning asap and thank you :)

Had a lovely meal at lost coins this week. Lucy was our server and was perfect throughout and very efficient. We are regular customers so highly reccomend visiting, lovely food and lovely afternoon out.

Very slow service for both drinks and food. My lasagne was very dry with no white sauce, Dry Cesar salad, appallingly. This place needs both new chefs and new management because the standard has gone down hill very fast in past 12 months. Reply. I did complain on the 2 occasions about it, first time my lasagne was replaced. I have photos of everything so if you want them posted here also, it can be done. Sort it out and you'll get better reviews next time. Very simple.

Plant based burger wasn't cooked , no garnish sauce was disgusting. Hunters chicken was hard and needed a steak nife to cut through. For the price paid was awful. Never go again

Down here on business so popped into our favourite restaurant. Always so busy which I think speaks volumes about the place. Food was lush- I tried the lamb shank with my 30 % off mains voucher. Team were so friendly and polite even though they were rushed off their feet. Already looking forward to seeing you again in December 😊

Quality of the food was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant, busy so had to wait 40mims for food but did let us know at time of ordering which was helpful. Beer did seem a bit pricey.

Booked last minute for my partners birthday for 7 of us, food was lovely especially the mixed grill! Staff were amazing! Not a single mistake with the orders considering there were 7 of us, food came out hot! Excellent service, will definitely be returning! :-)

I would highly recommend anyone to go to lost coins,, whether that be breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have had exceptionally bad experiences recently at a couple of local places (mallinas neyland and cafe rose pembroke), and what a breath of fresh air lost coins is. The food is very very good, and very reasonable prices also. Every time we go there they are so accommodating, friendly, polite and have exceptional customer service skills and delivery. Thank you for always making our trip with a new born baby easy, that makes such a difference. Your staff are an asset to the business they really are.

I’ve been quite a few times now and it has always been good. Now the last time we visited food did take a while and we had to send back one of the dishes however I would still recommend

Friendly staff, very clean but I missed the Rotisserie

It was closed when stated on the advert it was open. Did not stay open till 11pm it closed at 9 pm not impressed. I only wanted a hot drink. Car had broken down near by and been waiting for the RAC for two hours in the cold so looked up to see the closest place that was, meant, to be open but turned up and it wasn't. No even colder so please be aware that if you want to go to the lost coin call to check they are open.

Really great place to eat, food was good quality, also has a little park so great for kids, overall, brilliant experience

Amazing Roasts. Beef was delicious. Loved the roast potatoes and vegetable. The vegetarian tart was lush followed by dessert. The team were so friendly and helpful. Our favourite restaurant to visit.

We went to the Lost Coins today but only wanted something light to eat like a sandwich or a panini etc. We was shown to our table and given menus. Two of us are veggies, while reading the menu we noticed that there was only one option for a veggie sandwich which was halloumi and red pepper which neither of us fancied. There was absolutely nothing else on the menu for us to choose from so I went to the bar to ask the lady if there was a bar menu or something as we only wanted something light, we was told very abruptly that the sandwiches was on the menu then she stormed off. Needless to say so did we, straight out the front door. We go to the Lost Coins every year when we’re on holiday as the menu has always had plenty to choose from and a good choice for veggies. Doubt very much if we will return. Such a shame that one member of staff can ruin someone’s experience of a restaurant.

Sunday Roast menus, as advertised online had been sold out, due to it's popularity, which was disappointing, but, the menu was very interesting and had plenty of alternatives. Settled on the sharing platter with cheesy garlic bread.

Food is good, my husband said that his steak was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One star dropped because the floor wasn't cleaned when the tables were, especially necessary where children have sat.

Last minute meal with the wife. Had such efficient service thought it pertinent to write a review. Highly recommend to those staying across the way in Premier Inn. Good atmosphere, staff very helpful and handy for local knowledge, food was well-priced and tasty. We will visit again.

We were a party of 6 and not a single meal was edible. Disgusting food, dry, chewy meat like cardboard. No Rock hard roast potatoes Veg boiled to death Rock hard parsnips and carrots No Gravy on a very dry vegetarian dinner Veg pie, rock hard pastry. All in all appalling food.

We last visited nearly 10 years ago when this newly opened. That experience was a disaster and walked out. Never to return. Move on to today, well what can we say apart from what a fantastic experience. The menu was varied and offered lots of options. Our choice was delicious and plentiful. The service was was swift, friendly and efficient. I would like to make special mention to the member of staff (I didn't get her name) who was amazing. I assume she was a manager/supervisor she led the other two staff with ease and professionalism. What a team, well done. We will be back and soon!

Great food Great service Only thing missing in the condiments box was napkins but we managed fine, maybe check the pepper pots as ours wasnt working, that's it, the food is so good at the minute I love the chicken burger and sweet potato fries are the best! I love coming here so much with hubby

We had a lovely Christmas dinner for 10, pre-ordered. All the meals were delicious, hot and plenty of food. The waiting staff and bar staff were helpful and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Thank you

Staff were fabulous. Welcoming, friendly & attentive. Food was lovely, freshly cooked and a reasonable price. The reason we won't be going back again is the extortionate price of the drinks, ridiculously expensive. A real shame as we live within walking distance.

Went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the light lunch set menu 2 courses £15 or 3 for £18, who don't love a bargain. The fish was freshly battered to absolute perfection, hats off to the chef. The service from start to finish was prompt and well received, we got asked multiple times throughout our visit checking for any allergies, which was nice to see a business be serious about allergies. All staff front of house seem extremely friendly, well engaged with customers and very welcoming. Highly recommend for good, good service and even better value for money 😊

Had a 8oz steak and it was epic. The waitress was sweet and amazing. We three enjoyed our meals and we did not have to wait , even though we did not book ahead.

Shown to a table on arrival , then waited for a waiter, 15 minutes past, I then went to place order at bar despite it being table service.a waitress then came back to the table with me, took our order. 40 minutes later our food arrived. The waiter was very apologetic and said the kitchen is very busy !!I I was astounded at his reason , I am under the impression a busy restaurant is generally in my experience well staffed and prepared for the holiday influx.The condiments on the table were grubby with rusty marks around the lids, the plastic flowers were grubby and no flowers would leave a better Impression. The bathrooms needed cleaning. In my opinion this restaurant needs refurbishment, the ceiling lights have broken shades and look tatty. I am a resident of Haverfordwest and we have eaten here many times , extremely disappointed to experience the poor service standards and conditions.

Service was poor and food. Highly recommend anyone who drives in turns back! Waited at the bar and didn't get acknowledged, which is just rude! All I ask is, "I'll be with you shortly," which isn't difficult. For a Sunday and a bank holiday, the lack of food was disopointing. They had hardly anything on their menu. The app was stupid. We don't live in 2020 anymore. The app was saying items were in stock, then wasn't in check out. We decided to order at the bar in the end. I ordered the ribeye steak. For the price, it was extremely disopointing and I feel ripped off. The chef needs to learn the difference between medium rare and rare. It was mostly gristle and bland. My friend also said his chicken pie was too thick with pastery. We left so much food.

Food was mediocre, service was not great, supervisor looked miserable as if she really didn't want to be there. Waited a long time to be seated as there were not enough staff on. Someone should be greeting guests at all times and not leaving people waiting by the door

I've visited The lost coins in Haverfordwest many times as it is usually a very nice place to eat with friendly staff. However this time we visited as it was my Mother in laws birthday and we were very disappointed, both my husbands and my fish was over cooked, very greasy and the batter was extremely crisp the fish inside was also tasteless. The mushy peas could've been used as a ball I'm sad to say. My grandaughter has the chicken goujons which she said tasted awful, my husband tried them and he agreed, whilst we could have sent it all back and complained, we put it down to a one off, maybe a bad day but I don't think we would go back again for quite awhile as it ruined what should have been a lovely celebration day. I will say the staff who were there that day were brilliant at allowing us to move to different tables rather than the ones allocated to us, it was a bad day for wasps, but that was entirely out of anyone's hands.

Back again for the Summer so we popped in last night. Staff welcomed us back with big smiles and food was delicious. I tried the Pork Belly Burger which was lush😋 and we tried the Beavertown Neck Oil which was great. Looking forward to our next visit before we leave Pembrokeshire. 😁

It was our wedding anniversary and we decided to come out for a meal. Even though no one knew the occasion we were made to feel special from the moment we arrived until the time we left. The food was amazing and we were not waiting at all in between courses. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back soon.

It was a last minute booking because my wife fancied a Sunday lunch. The only slots were casual slots at the bar area. That was fine we are relaxed casual people. My wife went up to order. I’m vegan so I had a plant based burger. It arrived a little over 5 minutes later. I lifted the brioche lid and what was underneath resembled a slice through a piece of tinned cat food. It was just warm and pink with no sign it had been grilled or fried. It would have taken 20 minutes to grill.!it had clearly been popped in the microwave for 3-4 minutes and served. There was a small pot of aemenic skinny fries, similar to but paler and unseasoned than a Macdonalds punnet of fries. I loathe Macdonalds but their plant burger and fries is better and costs 1/3 the cost of my meal. I took one bite of the insipid burger, ate half the fries and left. I commented to the staff member behind the bar that it was the worst meal I’d ever been served. My wife and I go out for food , once or twice a week and this is the first time I’ve ever complained about a meal. Safe to say I will never return to the Lost Coins again. I certainly lost a lot of coins in return for substandard fast food.

Service was spot on taking around an hour and a half for our three course anniversary meal. We asked our waitress if we could wait a while before we ordered dessert and she said, "Of course you can, just call me when you're ready". I noticed that she was always looking in our direction when she came into the area just to make sure she didn't miss us. Brilliant. The food was great, nice and hot and on hot plates which is an added bonus, too many places serve food on cold plates these days. My rib eye was fully cooked and one of the best steaks I've ever had. We then spent a couple of hours in the beer garden before heading back to the hotel. It was great to be able to order from my phone. Perfect thank you.

lovely venue with a cracking menu!

Seriously, you need to discard a large proportion of your pint glass stocks. They are worn out from frequent trips through the glass wash and look shabby and dirty (though they are not dirty, they just appear to be) and do not give a good impression of your establishment. I used to be in the pub trade, & I would not serve a drink in such glasses as these; breweries etc readily provide branded glasses. I seem to have this discussion frequently with your staff - it is not their fault, this is a management issue which requires your prompt action.
