Excellent Sunday lunch at a very Christmasssy Griffin. Superb roast beef and vegetables , esp the red cabbage and braised leek. Tiny criticism = put more of that gravy on the plate! Gravy is vital … Very good apple and cranberry crumble. Good value at £42 for 3 courses and charming service as always

We had a lovely bottle of wine in our first evening and the ambience was great. So we booked a meal. Got to the restaurant on time to find that our booking was not booked at all. We were so upset as we were even given the choice of tables when we booked. As it was festival weekend we couldn’t get in anywhere else and our evening was spoilt

Like every other spoons cheap as chips good located surrounded by plenty of other pubs so handy

Had Xmas lunch booked this week with local U3A table tennis members. Good was very good and not rushed in any way. Would definitely recommend and will be going again in New Year

Hello there ! Just ordered a home delivery fish & chips for 2 persons. Food was great but sadly they don’t add lemon and tartar sauce ! So a bit plain to taste !

I am not normally a writer of reviews, I have just eaten the best Steak pie I have ever tasted with 36 years on this planet. Friendly staff, brilliant service and food prepared to a very high standard.

First time we've eaten here in a while and the food was excellent. Chilli was really good with lots of condiments and nachos too. The others had the Lamb and mint pie which I've just been told was amazing, very delicious and filling. 3 very empty plates. Defo coming back again in the near future. Oh and the beer was spot on too.
