This place was great for years, new management took over and the entertainment is always WAY too loud. Mostly families visit here during the holiday season and the kids are covering their ears it’s that loud. I’ve seen multiple families leave after an entertainer comes on due to this. Definitely lost out on hundreds of £ because of this. It’s not even as if the singers sound good at this volume. It’s just a loud echo of blabber. Turn it down!!! Then we can enjoy ourselves and not have to scream for someone to hear us when they are sat directly nexto us.

Bar has been refurbished, worth a visit, Kerry the barmaid was very cheerful, and dog friendly

Went in for a quick soft drink on a Wednesday afternoon, family of 6, 4 adults and 2 children. 3 soft drinks, 1 cider, 1 larger, a fruit shoot, 5 packets of crisps, and 1 bag of peanuts cost £25. It was very quiet at that time but the music they were playing was great and up to date and the staff were friendly. I would happily revisit.

Never got any food but smelled lovely service was amazing they do your drinks straight away collect glasses when empty a bit busy most days great entertainment at night time

We did go in during the week, so it was very quiet. We stayed for a few drinks, staff nice. But men's toilets stank of p##s

Upside:good staff, good drinks, funny comunists cone in every few days interacts with crowd and an arcade conected to it to play Downside:dirty, out of fashion, alot of people to be a small place, next to loud places like bars, shops, arcades and fair and the toilets need renovation since they smell and are slightly concerned about the floor tiles

Brilliant location could be in league with Moreton stones and knightlys if they worked for it. The table service is almost non existent, was dirty when visited was told about social distancing left after 45minutes of no service also tables were sticky.

Coke from pumps is disgusting but is nice place to sit outside and friendly staff decent entertainment so just buy drinks that are in bottles or cans and you will love it.

Pool table ia knackered beer is ok but the toilets are the worst I’ve ever encountered my mrs simply couldn’t use them so we had to leave

Like an old fashioned social club

Went there yesterday it is filthy the 2 men behind the bar need a good wash. Toilets filthy nearly three up needs shutting down and cleaning dont go its rotten

Not a bad place, bit dated but who cares, you're on holiday and it's always sunny in Towyn! Worthington bitter for me, went down well.

Nice friendly staff. I think expensive. No toilet in the pub have to go arcade. Bit dated and toilets dirty and smelly. Not for me.

Seriously the most awful food I've ever eaten! Don't expect a lovely freshly battered fish by the coast at this place as all you get are frozen cod portions and even they're over cooked and break when you try and cut it! The kids pizza are the ones you buy 10 for a pound at your local supermarket, chips are frozen and over cooked!! I cannot stress enough that the food in this place is shocking 3 adult meals and 2 kids meals cost £30 and seriously wasn't worth half of that. Sorry Sandy bay but this really needs to be addressed.

Service is rubbish and food is terrible and one of our friends didn't even get is meal they forgot about his he ended up with his money back. DISGUSTING.

Este es un buen lugar pero en urgente necesidad de reforma maloliente y los inodoros son terribles, pero los actos son geniales y el personal es encantador.

good place to go if your with the family as they let the kids stay in ,small arcade ajoining which keeps the kids quiet, theyhave acts on which can be a bit racy at times but all done in fun ,had a couple of good nights in there with my partner and grandson who is 8 .takeaways just accross the rd if your hungry after the pub closes ,ive not had the food in here but belive it is suposed to be good ,would deff go again next time in towyn .

Acabo de volver de una escapada de fin de semana en Towyn y llamado en Sandy Bay para una bebida acabamos quedándonos y viendo de entretenimiento. Buen ambiente y un personal amable. Volvió la noche siguiente y el entretenimiento de los niños era de risa. Lo recomendaría, especialmente si sus hijos son pequeños. Así que nuestro hijo Arcade adjunto se divirtieron con nosotros jugando en 2 p slots.

Me and my partner were in Wales for the weekend. Stopped her for drinks and late lunch. Food was nice for what you pay waited a while as they were busy and it's all cooked fresh. Staff helpful, could do with a freshen up in the decor.

I like to visit from time to time the entertainment is pretty good and on a weekend it's a family friendly pub. Sadly the prices are more expensive than other in the area £4for a Stella and £3.30 for san Miguel in the long bar

went in here for a bite too eat me my wife 2 kids ordered fish and chips for myself i was expecting a fillet of cod what it resembled was a fillet of goldfish 1 of my chips was longer than the fish it was about 1'5 in across at it's widest the batter on the fish you could knock nails in with it the chips were ok but the peas were tepid and hard they brought each plate seperate to the table we ordered a dessert when we had finished our dinner they said are you ready for your dessert we said yes 10 mins later they told us they have not got the desserts we ordered as it had not been delivered noticed the staff were taking money whilst preparing food also saw them putting raw food on and moving food around the plates and not once did i see them wash their hands it is the first and last time i go in there i left there still hungry avoid this place

I have been in here a few times. It has a little arcade attached which brings out the kid in me. My only issue is that this pub NEVER seems to be open. Maybe only at weekends during the season?

Great pub and tena ladies act are brilliant. Good for children and cheap meals. Only downfall are drinks are quite expensive you pay around £3.30-£3.50 a pint.

Went here to eat as advertising in window said "with every child meal you get free icecream" no icecream arrived and when questioned didn't get much response. Food was ok if you just want quick pub lunch I suppose defiantly had better for the price

We went in to watch the Gary T show which was fabulous but avoided the place after that. The bar staff haven't got a clue!! I ordered 2 pints of carling and 2 pints of blackcurrant and soda water and it cost £12!!!! Rip off! The Morton arms over the road only charged me £8 and is a nicer more comfortable club. As for food service that was non existent. We went to the takeaway bit to be told by the man that the 4 bacon baps we ordered would take ages as he was run off his feet,then the next day we went at 12 for some dinner and he said he's running late, Come back later! Obviously didnt need our money! My tip would be to save your money and go over the road to the Morton arms

Wonderful new staff who have scrubbed and cleaned Sandy Bay. Sunday lunch is The Best. Local fresh meat and loads of veg. Home made roast potatoes and lashings of gravy to die for. Home cooked meals every day all done fresh to order. Good value great prices and you are made to feel very welcome.

We have just had Sunday lunch here and have been well looked after by Paul, Angie and the guys. Two meats on offer (beef and ham) and a top notch choice of local fresh vegetables available. Very competitive (2 lunches for £10) and a nicely priced pudding to follow. Can fully recommend

Visited twice this weekend and both times the staff were really friendly and the food was very tasty and great value for money would definatly recommend the Sunday roast

possibly the most expensive dive I've ever been in overpriced drinks and scruffy and not a scrap of toilet roll to be seen won't ever go back

Went easter Sunday for lunch.Great value for money. 4 adults and 1 child £23 .Well done to the staff.

Nice family friendly pub. Children can stay in main room all night. Awful Karaoke. The girl who works it is clueless. She said they did not have my friends song and yet we heard a man perform it later. I asked for dozens of songs but she just shook her head, they have no song books to show what they do have. Lots of small children sang all night and adults did not get a look in/ Also the season ends early. It is closing down now while other pubs are opening at least at weekends until after the childrens October break.

The Sandy Bay is a great little family pub with entertainment on 7 nights a week during the season, The acts on are of a great quality and are very popular with regular visitors. Children are allowed in till closing time so this makes it great for families or single parents who otherwise would not be able to enjoy an evening out with their children.You will get a warm welcome from Karen and Simon Bott and all the staff.There is a great kitchen serving good value meals everyday during the season and there is a good sized arcade to keep the kids occupied.

Aviod this pub had to wait far too long and meals came at different times.
