A very quiet pub. The building is 15 century or there abouts. The pub itself is upstairs. It's a bit like a spooky old building but still nice. A few draughts on. Lager bitter cider Guinness a half decent selection of bottles and spirits. There is also a pool table. Ideal if your on the caravan park. Polite owners. Give it a try

I wanted to take my time in writing this review because Penrhyn Old Hall and the owners are so welcoming, you won't find anywhere that is more friendly, it's an absolute joy to visit there and enjoy the hospitality. The actual building is steeped in history, it's like stepping back in time, ask the owners they will tell you all about the fascinating history that evolved through the centuries. So if you like a cosy environment, friendly owners, good food and drink....it's a definite must to visit....you will get addicted as we have and return many times 😊

I have just had my wedding evening party at Penrhyn Old Hall and it was brilliant. I chose this venue as I have always loved any function I have attended there over the years. The owner, Guy, could not be any more helpful, he was so accommodating. Unlike other places, they don't charge you an arm and a leg to hire the hall and the price included the DJ. The prices of the drinks are very reasonable too. The hall has lots of character and history to it, making it a very special place to party! I recommend this place 100%

From the moment you enter you are faced with a delightful historical ambience. Covid conditions and clenliness obvious. Good choice of beers and other drinks which are well kept and professionaly served in a friendly manner. We went for a pre-booked lunch and ordered three courses. It was not long before we were shown to the dining room and began an extremely well cooked and presented set of meals. I must make special note of the vegeables. I know, from experience, how hard it is to cook vegetables that are between al-a-dente and overdone. The cauliflower was done to perfection. We really enjoyed eating the pork and salmon dishes and have re-booked.

A lot of history to this lovely place, so it has a rather quirky layout. 60 of my Dad's friends and family descended and pretty much took over for the afternoon. Lunch was served over 2 sittings as normally there is only space for 32 in the dining room. The rest were entertained in the bar or the skittle room, playing old style skittles. The food was very good, service good and friendly and the hosts very accommodating for such a large group. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We have been coming for years and this place has never changed. The food is very good quality (especially the roast lamb) and is ridiculously cheap. 3 courses for £10 is something that you don't get much anymore. Yes it's a bit old school (most customers are OAPs) with all the puddings being sponges but you can pay extra for a slice of cake. If you want good old school food in a historic setting with friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere then the old Hall is for you.

Was charged 17.50 for three courses which I think is a good price. But the problem is all of the food is bought in. My bread roll was mouldy and had to get it changed which was then replaced with two rounds of brown bread. My daughter then had a chunk of plastic in her prawn cocktail. Portions where average overall. My step son was given 4 small garlic mushrooms for his starter. Main course the meat was cooked to perfection. Prob here u get 1 roast potato cut in half each. The cauliflower was rock hard and all veg and pots were piled on one plate which consisted of peas cauliflower pots and carrots then cheese poured over the top of the lot. Presentation was poor. Then choice for your puddings is awful all sponge based. Lemon sponge. Jam roll. Ginger sponge. Syrup sponge. Spotted dick. Sticky toffee. If u don't like sponge what do you do. The waitress sneezed twice into her hands.placesI wash her hands and then carried on serving and carrying your plates. All food was nuked in the microwave. As a qualifed chef my standards prob higher than most but even so compared to other places well below par don't recommend this place and won't be back.
