The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Was there on the 11th December. My daughter had their festive £11.99 turkey meal, and got food poisoning. That night, she couldn't sleep due to mussel cramps and sickness.

Second visit of the week and different staff, different experience the food was great, the atmosphere was good, a really festive vibe. The problem came with the barman who struggled with the till, couldn't add 13 and 17 and insisted on calling the manager as the Monday to Thursday offers weren't visible to him 15 minutes later we were sorted but what a performance

Jack and his team were great, food was good, great service, I've been coming to The Courthouse for 41 years, Love the place, the toilets however need sorting, this has been a long-standing issue, which, for whatever reason, has not been addressed, the pub itself looked Fantastic, very Chrismassy, lovely ambiance, grest views of the castle, a lovely job of the revamp of tge beer garden, looks great! 👍

We came for an evening meal. The atmosphere was great inside and the pub was decked out for Halloween. The food was lovely and had a real home cooked feel. Great pie with lovely veg and we also enjoyed the burger and tasty starters. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and this was gratefully appreciated as one of us had a little struggle getting in the door with a mobility scooter. So we’d like to say a thank you! We would love to return.

Can't have a laugh in here staff are rude

Pre-booked the Festive menu for a family meal having enjoyed in previous years. Food was served in a timely manner with everyone receiving the correct orders. Starters were a generous size and all of the food was cooked well and was hot. Mains came a short while after and there was plenty of food to go around. Turkey meat was really tasty and roast potatoes were delicious. Nice accompaniments of stuffing, parsnips and pigs in blankets. The veg was all cooked beautifully and plenty of gravy. Everyone enjoyed their mains! Desserts were really good too. Overall, another fab set festive meal this year. Already looking forward to coming back next year.

Great service - the lady who attended us was amazing. She warned us there was a wait with the food and kindly offered my son and I a complimentary starter. We really appreciated that. The food was delicious and great value for money. We will come back!

Yates is a lovely pub I visit regularly and the owner is an incredibly nice fellow. They offer student savers on good drinks and have a good atmosphere.

Booked in the afternoon for a table for 5:15 as it was our wedding anniversary, no problem booking online and immediately got the confirmation email. We turned up at Standing Stones half an hour early as sometimes we are lucky and get seated earlier especially as we had our daughter with us. We got to the doors to find the place locked up, someone came to the door to open the door and tell us they were closed for a New years eve party and that they had emailed to cancel and tried calling all bookings. At this point I hadn't received a phone call or cancellation email. As a family we were extremely upset as it was out anniversary and we often eat out here.

Really nice place in a great setting in the countryside. Would of given it 5star, however there were a number of items missing from the evening meal menu. This limited your choice of food dishes.

Popped in here yesterday for some lunch whilst out and about in Llandudno. To say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. We didn't have to wait for a table as it wasn't very busy, but did have to wait around 40 minutes for food after ordering. The staff, two girls specifically were very unfriendly and unprofessional. We sat next to the counter where you order and pay. We saw, and heard them repeatedly making derogatory comments about customers. This was a very uncomfortable experience, and then to top it off, when our food finally arrived it was substandard to say the least. Safe to say we will not be visiting here again, or recommending this place to anyone.

What a tremendous Hotel. We stayed for a couple of nights. The building is not contemporary, it is the opposite. Luxurious, superb spa facilities and grounds, and food to remember. Overall a magical stay, close to Tenby and well worth a visit. We shall return. Gran loved it, my wife was delighted and so was my Son. Highly recommended.

Only had a coffee, was very crowded and loud. Seating plan wasn't set out great. Was glad when we finished to be honest so we could leave. My lattè was nice tho
