Best beef with a carvery ever. Really accommodating to dietary restrictions

staff nice & friendly especially with kids couliflower cheese tasted rotten and offensive roasted potatoes not nice and mash tasted like microwaved mush meat was nicely cooked (turkey & beef) ice cream was awful kids had 2 mouthfuls and left the rest they hated it. price was cheep for family if 6.

Been here a few times for breakfast and carvery service is brilliant.carly served us for breakfast hot fresh food and the carvery was the same hot fresh.staff are all very polite would deffo recomend and will call again..

I have to say the food, especially the meat on the carvery, was delicious. Spoilt by vegetables which were a bit tepid as was the gravy? Would not stop us returning but such a shame as we felt this could be easily remedied?

We went in on a Monday evening for a carvery and the food and service did not disappoint us, it wasn't as busy as it normally is but after my experiences here in the summer, it's almost a blessing

Went for our evening meal on the 1of November as we rented a cottage close by ordered a shared platter an a carvery wasn't informed that there's only turkey for carvery the platter was all just thrown in one bowl when complained to staff told it was not there problem service was absolutely diabolical waited over 45mins for nachos an nuggets threw in a bowl can't see this staying in business much longer if there staff have anything to do with it

The staff are friendly and accommodating, never had an issue with the food or the service, the carvery is lovely and so much choice. Cara who has served us was so friendly and welcoming.

We went for a carvery on Monday evening, the food and service was brilliant, we was served by a lovely man called Dave, he was very attentive with us and helped us with our order.

I had travelled down to see an old friend who had relocated down to prestytn. So we had been given your establishment as an recommendation. My girlfriend and I ordered the same southern fried chicken sandwich and unfortunately for me our server behind the bar had made an error so only one sandwich came out. When I questioned this unfortunately for me only one had been ordered but for the staff to rectify the mistake took my girlfriend and I going to the bar and asking about this sandwich by this time. All our party had finished their meals before I actually got my sandwich. The staff didn't offer any form of compensation such as removing this item from the bill.

We ordered the carvery and a burger for our granddaughter. Food we nice but the burger took a long time to arrive.

I live 5 minutes away from the bells of St Mary's the food is great has normal but the place needs to be re decorated my aunt noticed that the table was sticky and the floor near serving area they need to change there cleaning items please bells of St Mary's please re decorate I've been coming there for 30 years

Beautiful little place we stopped in on the way to a concert in llandudno, Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming and warm. Food was lovely, fresh and piping hot. Nice selection on the carvery which was delicious 😋

Great staff, shame about the food. The carvery was awful. Beef was almost inedible because of the grisel. Vegetables were not good either. No longer good value.

Excellent place to eat and relax. Went for my birthday recently and although we turned up a bit late, food was served within mins of ordering , was hot and delicious. Big up to Shannon too 😘

All you can eat breakfast and to be fair it was worth the drive, and the nice big free car park makes it easy. All the food was hot and plenty of choice, their new addition of coated potato cubes were lovely. The place was lovely and clean plenty of room between tables for wheel chairs and prams which was nice to see, big covered tables outside if you have a dog even water dishes spotted around for them. I really want to say I cannot fault the friendly staff or delicious food. Definitely going again.

Shannon was very polite and efficient on arrival unfortunately on a very quiet night food was dry lukewarm and took an age to arrive. Saved as kids loved the dessert probably wouldn’t go back. Stone house as a brand need to do more and support their staff.

Had great experience and my server kat was extremely helpful and polite helped me with my order and recommended me the tandoori chicken pizza fron their new menu.

Millie who was in charge of the area where we were sat was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her. A credit to the restaurant.

I was served by a lovely pair of women. Shann on host and Cara on the bar made my time really nice. A lad called Lee also helped manage to fit us in as we hadn’t booked. Really positive time and the food was amazing. Will definitely come again

Front of house lady Cara was proper sound. Had good chat back and git involved like she was with us was great. Kitchen staff made me wait at least 30 seconds for my carvery tho, not on really is it.

Erin was an absolute credit great service, very polite and very patient with my wild child been quite a few times and always been seated and looked after will be coming again soon x

I’ve been here a few times recently for breakfast and carvery lunches and have never had a bad experience. The food is delicious and the staff are all super friendly. The bar staff are actually starting to remember me which is nice and Michelle who dished up my carvery today was delightful and patient with me asking questions. All in all a great place to come for a treat breakfast, lunch or dinner! Thank you guys!

30£ for a pizza, 9 small chicken bites, a small dry garlic flatbread & two cordials and bowl of chips overpriced rubbish, garlic flatbread was dry, place stunk of smoke, no handwash in the disabled toilets. was going to have a cavery but meats looked like they were dry and had been their for hours. no staff even came how to ask how our meal was, wont be coming again

Worst experience ever, the place looks like it’s not been renovated in 20 years, the chairs are ripped and torn and decor is disgusting. The place looks like it hasn’t had a good clean in a long time. The service was diabolical… waited over an hour for food everything then came in scattered time with more waiting, staff are clueless and management is so disorganised. Ew just never again, if it wasn’t for a birthday meal we would’ve walked out instantly.

Having a holiday home here in Wales we have visited the bells a few times and every time we have been served by an amazing lady Cara. She is very friendly and professional and an absolute credit to the company.

place looks a bit shabby outside . Greeted by a man called Mark who was great , explained how carvery worked and made us feel very welcome . Food was so so . Very thin slithers of meat , cauliflower cheese with no cheese flavour 😣, hard as rock roast potato , condiments could have been presented better , I’d go back but not for carvery sorry . Mark was the only positive there and deserves 5 ⭐️

No real complaints about food but our starters were brought with our main!! I was having a carvery and advised not to queue until main arrived. When it did I was then queuing for 15 mins whilst my hubby ate his main so we actually ate separately which isn't the point of going out for food together?? Plus a certain group of people jumped the queue at the carvery and not one member of staff was going to speak to them. But I did. They were so rude and pushy. In a nutshell not a great experience. Won't be going again 😞

Okay so we thought we'd give this place a go as we are staying at a local caravan park, additionally it's not very often i post a negative review but unfortunately I don't have much choice with this one Firstly upon arrival it took far too long for us to be seated, the queue for service at the carvery was far to long exacerbated by the face that the chef seemed determined to take his time, the quality of the food was not great bland and tasteless, the cauliflower cheese was more like cauliflower sludge the stuffing was drier than ghandis flipflop the meat was dry and full of gristle in all honesty it was not worth the money or the time give it a miss!

Brother in law broke down in motorhome, so we spoke to management, and he let us park up overnight in car park. Had carvery and breakfast before leaving, very nice stay would highly recommend it for helpful staff and management.

The woman behind the bar was quite rude and abrubt. The roast were rock solid on the carvery & the veg were stale. My father in laws fish was like a brick, and it was left on the side for ages to which I had to deliver it to his table, as no one was willing too. I didn’t find this very professional what so ever.

The staff are always welcome I've never been disappointed in the carvery and the ciders and Bear are spot on who ever clean the pipe line is doing a great job 💯 and the cost for food there is ok carvery or off the menu , not try the pizza 🍕 there yet but looks good

Food was enjoyed by all. There was a delay for those on the two course menu between mains and deserts. This was because of shift change in staff. Other than this the food was and service was good

Never been here before, stopped off for some dinner after a long day and I wasn't disappointed. The staff and friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing. Worth the price and plenty of options

Everything about this place is awful. The food (pizzas) were dry and tasteless; the staff clearly have had no customer service training; they tried to charge us far too much; we had to wait 45 minutes for our pizzas at a time when there were hardly any customers; the tables and chairs felt dirty and old; the entire place looked and felt unkempt and very badly managed.

Each time we went we had the buffet. Excellent meal at a very good price.

As always Cara has made us feel very welcome and has exceptional customer service skills. Thanks again Cara. See you again. Food was great too. Win win.

Great breakfast today, all freshly cooked.

Had the carvery, the turkey and gammon was nice the beef chewie. Son had the philly cheese stack burger, which he couldn't eat as the beef patties were horrible . Crispy chicken starter was very tasty. Waited a long time for dessert, so I asked a member of staff to get it to go.

Late Friday afternoon, was fairly quiet, took a short while to get served (order at the bar). Didn't have the starters we both wanted, the main I wanted, nor the dessert I wanted. That said, what we did end up with was really good, in fact, I would highly recommend the pizzas. Won't rush back, but if I ever find myself there again I'd happily eat there.

Great value food and the cavalry is amazing

We chose this establishment because it was close to where we had travelled from, had some good reviews and was open when we needed it. I ordered my food and drinks at the bar and sat at our table. We waited and waited for our food and in the end I had to chase it up. Five chefs were behind the carvery counter and when I asked about our meal he assured me it was just on its way. It was another fifteen minutes before our food arrived. Considering the time it took to prepare a "fresh" meal, it wasn't piping hot and the chips were very average, in taste, looks and heat! It seems that this place focuses on the carvery and if you should order from the menu otherwise then you'll have to wait! I'm also surprised that for the number of chefs around, the vegetarian menu is also pretty lacking. As well as having to chase up cutlery due to having starters it was really a really disappointing experience. A great shame for somewhere in such a prime location. PS The only reason I gave three stars and not two is because the young human behind the bar was friendly!

Had an absolutely lovely time with family. Food was great especially the carvery. Had the most loveliest and welcoming member of staff called Mak that was a great help from start to finish, he couldn’t have been anymore lovely, never had such amazing customer service from someone. I used to come here all the time, came today for the first time in a couple of years. My goodness the place has gone downhill. Having booked a table in advance and asking for a quiet corner, they put us right by the front door next to an ice cream machine that sounded like a diesel generator. The table was all sticky (Pet hate of mine). Ordered a kids pizza, adult cheeseburger and a carvery. Food was very disappointing, chips had been kept warm and were dry. Pizza was the saddest thing I've ever seen, still feeling guilty for feeding it to my son. By far the worst carvery I've ever seen, one Yorkshire pudding, about 8 mouthfuls of meat most of which was all fatty. Cauliflower cheese was basically in milk, nothing cheesy about it. Roast potatoes were dry and undercooked, mashed potatoes were watery and tasteless. Stuffing was like cat litter.....I left 75% of my plate, it was inedible. None of the salt shakers work as all the salt is damp and clumpy. I left still hungry with a headache from the ice cream machine, will not be going again. Utter waste of money and a Sunday afternoon!! If I could review as 0 stars I would. EDIT - My son has been ill ever since he had the ice cream from here. I can only assume your machine never gets cleaned! Please close this place and get your house in order before someone gets hurt! My son has been violently sick since we left here on Sunday. Could I also have the Stonehouse head office email address?

I went twice last week with 3 other people, first time in the evening food was great I had pizza and it was great just done right and very tasty, the 3 others had carvery and they all thought it was really good. The next day we went for breakfast and you can't go wrong plenty to choose from and all cooked great and tasted great. Prices for food and drink are really good, Menu has great choices and the place itself is nice with friendly staff and its worth a visit. I Will be going back.

We have been coming here for over 15 years and we have never had a bad experience. I always book before going as it can get busy, the staff are always very polite, friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in and speak to you on and off throughout to ensure everything is ok. The majority of us always pick the all you can eat carvery and the children have chicken nuggets, burger or pizza. It’s a hit with all of us! I did mention to a staff member that the roast potato’s looked a little hard (my favourite part!) and they informed the chef straight away, took the roast potato’s in the back and then came back with fresh ones. This made our experience even better! Thank you so much David. We look forward to returning in the next few weeks!

Stopped off here for some lunch whilst driving through the area. The carvery was excellent, loved the gammon and turkey. Served by Cara who was very pleasant and helpful. If ever in the area again will definitely return.
