Would definitely recommend coming here and enjoying the amazing food!! All the staff were very polite, friendly and made every effort to make sure we were happy from start to finish!! Very warm & homely atmosphere I will definitely be back soon!!

Myself and a group of mates visited Friday and Saturday this weekend Great atmosphere all the staff are amazing and good at there jobs and you can have a laugh and a joke with them all including the door staff. Had a DJ playing throwback tunes on the Friday was so much fun and DJ chip with karaoke Saturday, will definitely be returning!!

Great pub in the heart of Mold. Very friendly and attentive staff and swift service at the bar. TV if you want to keep up to date with the rugby or football too. Seems the place to be at weekends as it is very busy with either a DJ or karaoke on to suit all ages. Very clean too. Will definitely visit again.

Great place to watch the rugby (of the yawnion variety) early evening but it gets a little lairy later on (although that's probably just me showing my age).

Love it... Nothing better than the mid week Wednesday KARAOKE CLUB! A warm welcome awaits, great priced beer, a fun singsong afternoon from 2.30 - 7pm

The waitress was miserable and rushing us with ordering our food. . Food was not the best...very dissapointing as it was Christmas fare food very basic. Sprouts were rock hard, roast potatoes must have been frozen ones dreadful.

Love going to the Red Lion. It's a great pub with great atmosphere. Karaoke is brilliant on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm. I get up myself and do a bit. Love it. It's a bit compact but very lively and everyone friendly enough. The door man and woman seem part of the furniture and very friendly. Toilets need a bit of effort putting in, but that's my only real gripe. I would have put 4.5 out of 5 but there's no half stars. Seriously great fun with a great line up of regular karaoke singers who are bloody good.

if your visiting Mold I would most definitely say visit here. It is only a small pub but everyone was friendly and their was a good atmosphere. The two bouncers were really lovely on the door as well and talkative with everyone. The staff behind the bar were happy and talkative with people as well. They have a large selection of spirits and Peroni on draft. The owner was a nice chap as well who made us get up dancing ! 🤣 I would defo visit here again!

Hi I have had good reports about this pub so I decided to visit as I live just a few miles away in flint, we arrived around lunch time staff were very welcoming, and gave us the menu,s looking at them was easy, I liked the simple lay out, I went for fish and my mate chose the gammon, ok the price,s were a little high, but decided to stay. the staff were really nice and attentive, my fish came and looking at the batter I knew it was over cooked, I never complain I just don't go back, and believe me I spread the word, the fish was dry and over cooked just as I expected, oh the size was great but spoilt,by being over cooked. but it came with a small pot of peas and chips, and horseradish sauce in sachets, my friends meal of gammon was good a large portion he was happy, but I was not. At that price of over £12 guys it should have been spot on. Sorry but it is true.

This is another venue we have played as a band. It was very quiet to start off with, and then by the evening it was packed out, just as the bar staff had suggested. The staff were kind and helpful and were very interested in what we were playing, and the crowd were overwhelming by the end of the night. Lots of dancing, lots of singing and a good time was had by all... Including our band, Supa Nova.

I went to the Red Lion in Mold on the 19th of January and if you like kareoke, then this is the place for you. It became quite busy at the end of the night but everyone was friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. I would definitely return again.

Ive eaten here a few times. Lovley homemade and plenty of it. Prices are reasonale to. Freindly pub.

Friday night live music We went into the pub last Friday, by chance, drawn in by music. The band was great, very energetic and really talented (rock) and the people in there were all friendly, bar staff as well as all the mixed age group of people. People were a rock audience and I am a hippy, yet I was made to feel welcome and I had a boogie too. Yes. I do recommend the pub for its atmosphere and good vibes and the people that go there too. Thank you. Mold rocks! Lots of love.

Have been here a few times and staff/landlady always pleasant . Had Sunday roast today which was fantastic. 100% Would recommend. Person serving behind the bar today didn't seem just as friendly as the usual lady. Fast becoming my favourite local

This was the go to place when I was growing up in Mold in the 1980s. Very busy then, and still is at times. Used to be primarily a boozer, with a great atmosphere, but with necessity, now also does good vale tasty food. Nice old interior which some might consider old fashioned, without being really impressively old, but a lot of character and great memories.

Best value for money in Mold. Phil and Ginna are welcoming and try to meet all tastes. They have a good selection for veggies too.

Small, local pub with friendly and welcoming staff - drinks are cheap and the kitchen prides itself on its great (and *very* well-priced) food... local chef who makes everything from scratch and uses local produce

Come here regular for a pint all staff ok ,but when you pop in and some obsessed gym member of staff who comes in spends the whole evening on phone,brings his takeaway in and sniffs all night it's time to go somewhere else,PLEASE SACK HIM.this is every time he's here......

Visité este lugar varias veces para tomar un trago después del trabajo. No me puedo quejar del karaoke es lo que es y siempre atrae a una multitud. Sin embargo, el personal es penoso especialmente el chico con pelo rizado! Si ir al baño, tome su bebida de distancia y se niegan a sustituirlos e incluso culpar a otros clientes para robar. Además, esta tarde llegamos al bar cuando los pedidos fueron llamados, y podía ser visto por personal claramente bar, pero esperando 15 minutos n la última campana de peldaño. Luces apagadas y se negó a servirme. Risa nunca se vuelva! Todo el personal necesita capacitación en servicio al cliente y las leyes de concesión de licencias. Hablo como un licenciatario durante más de 15 años, no como una capa de bolsa como me hicieron sentir por el personal del bar! ! !

Habíamos viajado por la zona en numerosas ocasiones, pero nunca habíamos ido hacia el centro de la ciudad de moho. Así que en nuestra primera visita a principios de esta semana nos gustaría ni idea de dónde podría ser un buen lugar para almorzar, y nos llama a "Y Llew Coch" - "la Red Lion" para que gente que no hack el idioma del cielo! - por pura casualidad.

Always good to find a dog friendly pub in Mold Good selection of ales and the pub grub looked appetising. Only popped in for a quick pint , but recommend for anyone taking their furry friends with them

Been here a few times since moving to the area - each time has been a weekend evening - it gets extremely busy to the point the you get push from pillar to post no chance of getting a table and keeping it as soon as you stand up some one nicks it.

When i was was younger i used to drink here all the time, always pleasant staff and good prices for drinks. Never eaten there but cant say a bad thing.

The food was amazing. The home made bread was to die for. The chefs were caring and came out to the customers to see if they were enjoying their meals, we mentioned bringing my dad who is coeliac, and they said they would cater for him. We recommend this pub to anyone.

We were feeling famished, having done a 60 mile cycle, then walked for 4 miles in search of a place to eat having been turned down at two places previously. Initially here we were told that unfortunately they had stopped serving, but the manageress took pity on us and went to see the chef to see what he could do for us. We were so thankful for well presented, delicious food that these guys went out of their way to prepare. You rock, Red Lion!

Went here once before and was unimpressed by how crowded it was, but we went again recently and it was very pleasant. Went on a weekday when it was quiet and the bar staff were lovely. Especially Dan.

I've only been here on Friday nights, so I presume it's at it's busiest. On both occasions, I've had to leave after 10 minutes because I've felt so uncomfortable here. I've had my butt grabbed, been rubbed up against by dirty old men, had sexest comments made and been made to feel very uncomfortable here. Getting served at the bar is a nightmare, they're understaffed and unable to cope. This place is not the place to go for a nice social drink with friends. Never, ever again

We called in at the red lion pub in mold for lunch /snack as a change from weatherspoons The drinks we had were nice the beer was cold and enjoyable We ordered a round of sandwiches each and a bowl of what we thought home cooked chips !!!The bread was dry and of cheap quality and the chip were not homemade but frozen we have eaten in many pubs around north Wales and it saddens me to say this is not the best by a mile.

Friendly and professional staff make for a great time at the Red Lion. Superb food served whether a hearty lunch or a light snack always with a smile. Excellent selection of drinks available and some fabulous entertainment. Would recommend for any type of visit.

Steer clear of this place unless your the rough type or a slag.....ceertainly not the kind of place you would take the family !

Nothing on the 2 for £10 menu for vegans. There used to be a better choice but now that they've changed the menu there's nothing. Even the soup has milk/cream in it. The waitress was not able to suggest anything vegan.
