The Fry Inn in Flintshire

£9 for fish and chips. Over priced and poor selection of food for a fish and chip shop.They have an extensive menu but hardly anything ready. The fish was grey which indicates it's poor quality.

Lovely friendly staff, fab choice ready to choose from..... Classic old time spam fritter, potato scallops, mushy peas and a bread roll, all tasted amazing, just gutted I forgot the curry sauce 🤭

Too dear now, order 2x sausage chips and gravey, 1 cheese burger and 2 cans was £19. The sausage was rubbery and I had one bite and threw it in bin. Chips ok but nothing special. Burger was like one from a cheap roadside van.

Having to repeat order even though only me in at the time.sausage, spam fritters and curry sauce were nice but chips not cooked enough.staff a bit miserable.not very friendly

Fish and curry sauce were good, mushy peas were watery and tasteless. Chips were anemic.

Great chippy fresh fish chips and the chicken breast are succulent eaten all not like some chippys over cooked hard .Best chippy in flint

I bought 2 x fish & chips and 1 large sausage x2 and chips. I also bought a couple of potato escalopes (fritters). All were very good quality food. I go by how good the chips are for overall quality and I am glad to say they were excellent and there were no bad chips. i.e. rotten or green etc. This does not happen very often, so well done!

Ran out of food and shut an hour early.

My wife and I had fish and chips , and a spicy curry sauce last night. Wow the fish and chips were fantastic, lovely and tasty. Cod was thick and flaky , and great batter. Great value as well Highly recommended

SHOCKING PLACE. Ordered food quarter to eight rang up to make sure this was okay we arrive and the blinds are down. Someone answers and says we’ve binned your food. What a poor excuse why didn't they ring to say that. Or when we rang in the first place why didn’t they just say sorry we can’t take orders this late. They either cooked the food and kept it for themselves to take home or they didn't even cook it in the first place. Can’t leave a review for the food because we didn’t even get any. Shocking place worst customer satisfaction ever would not recommend to anyone. And will be telling people not to go there. What a way to ruin your customer reputation word of mouth goes along way.

The nicest chips I've tasted, however sometimes when busy you don't always get your full order, check your bag before you leave. Other than that no issues.

Unfortunately, can't comment on the quality and taste of the food. My 5 granddaughter went in all excited, thinking she was being brave, whilst I waited outside with the dog, she patiently waited in the queue, the male customer behind gave his order and was served, the lady in front of her, explained to the staff that she next, they asked her what she wanted, a bag of chips. She was told they were cooking. Other customers arrived, then the staff completely ignored her and started serving them. My grandaughter was confused, I put my head through the door and told her to come away. The staff made no effort to say sorry. My granddaughter was upset, and said I was polite, I asked nicely and said please. It might of only been a bag of chips, not a big order, but hey more damage was done, crushing the confidence of little girl.

I ordered food from here. Two hours later after placing the order, and calling the restaurant (who said the food was on it's way) it didn't show up.

Don't listen to the poorly written reviews. The food is decent quality, portion size is adequate and the service is what you would expect.

Just parked up on the Estate for the night and came here,i can honestly say that was the best Fish,chips,fruity curry sauce and mushy peas ive had in years superb 👍

Apsolutely disgusting food my fish smells off the chips are bland and my partner said that the sausage taste spicy it’s a waste of a Tena to go straight in the food bin

First time we have ordered from here since it has changed hands. Having a large family it was a large order just as he'd opened, all freshly fried chips and fish, sausages were very tasty and nothing dripping in grease! Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and a happy family with full tummies...what more can you ask for! Highly recommend giving it a go, I will happily order from here next time we have a treat.

My chip shop of choice. Always good food and conversation with the staff. They make an effort to get to know what I order, which makes me feel special. I couldn't change my chip shop anyway, because my Mum insists on this one. She can't get out of the house so I go for her. She knows her fish and chips, and I have to agree with her, this is the best place around.

The best chippy. They actually cook the chips, they're not limp and so have a bit of colour to them. Can't recommend this place enough. Very pleasant and friendly staff too.

They have rats not even funny when your tall enough to see over the counter I could see one in the trap this is not right I'm afraid when you sell food I will be calling the trading standards , desisting to think that this food was going in to my family's stomach

Been here twice now and I thought the second time it would improve . Chips are dry and hard , the difference in regular and large is sod all (big con) . Very rude staff (owner) .This used to be the best chippy in town for taste, portion size and price. I won't be going here again and advise everyone to go to The Crescent chippy which is amazing and the staff are amazing .

I've been to many chippies in my time but this one is consistently the best. Only open until 8pm during lockdown but always good service and good food. I like the way they box the meals to keep them dry and warm in this rainy weather. The fish always seems huge, and so does the portion of chips. So pleased they have kept going during lockdown. Only three allowed in the shop at a time. Every time I have been there, they have cooked the fish and chips fresh. Fresh is best. They seem to serve two types of fish shop curry, one fruity and one spicy. There is a good range of other items available from sausage to scallops to pies and much more. If I were to move away, I would want to take this fish and chip shop with me.

This is a good fish and chip shop everthing is cooked well the scallops are great and the battered burger is well worth the price curry sauce is very good . Porton sizes are average and the prices are competitive for the area . The huge sausage was a favourite with the kids but it had been taken off the last time we in lets hope the new owners put it back on .

Since the new owner has opened the chipshop I have been disgusted in what I have bought the first time everything was undercooked my chicken was still raw and my fish was soggy so I thought I won't let one bad time put me off the second time there was a dead fly in my chip bap and the owner refused to refund me APPAULING( bald man) that's the owner I think he's weird and rude I feel sorry for his staff being women poor behaviour around them please do avoid this chipshop

What can I say about the fry Inn, clean, polite, always smiling atmosphere great and nice food. Good portions, although the fish is on the small side, well the last one I had could have done with going to the Gym, true sorry gig, but you got to laugh.

Haven’t had fish and chips that good in a long time. All cooked fresh, boxed fish and chips stay nice until you get home unlike when wrapped and go soggy. Staff well presented and pleasant. Highly recommend. New management has vastly improved this chippy. Well done !!

Stopped off for lockdown fish and chips it’s now under new management . It’s clean , staff are friendly. I felt like a valued customer . Something that it lacking in today’s world. Fish was cooked fresh, chips and mushy peas where so nice . I haven’t had fish and chips like that for a long while. Will definitely be back and will spread the word . If your passing stop and try it . You won’t be disappointed.

Chippy opened yesterday following lockdown, well disappointed with portion size, talk about bloody stingy..... Just about enough chips for 1 person in a large portion... I'm sure this will be removed, like my last review....

On my way back from landdudno last night and found this chippy. I had chips sausage and curry lol. Absolutely lovely it took me back 20 years when I would go my local get smashed and go the chippy. The staff were so nice and I will go every time I go on the way to my caravan. Credit to all at the chip shop. Oh and it was so clean. I would go every weekend but I live in Stoke on Trent.

Just had my Fish/Chips, they were excellent, freshly cooked, curry sauce was nice but not hot enough for my palate. Twice a week I go to The Fry Inn ,I recommend it

The new owners know a thing or two about running a good chippy. I'd say as good if not better than 'Simply Fish' in Denbigh & Rhyl (which until now was my benchmark for an excellent fish & chip shop)

I tried this chippy because my mother in law recommended it.I will go nowhere else now,the fish is big,really tasty,not greasy and the chips are absolutely fantastic.i love it

We visited here when the Fry Inn had been open for 3 days under new management. The manager was really enthusiastic and enjoyed telling us about his plans for the shop. His young staff were really eager to please and the place looked spotless. The (Scottish) fish & chips were really tasty too. I look forward to visiting here again and seeing how they get on, well I hope.

This nice and clean chippy is right in the heart of flint and I must say it is the best around here, nice family run chippy the staff they look good and they all look nice and clean and very well presented, the food is appitizing the premisses are spotlessly clean, and most of all they are all very friendly, nice packaging also. Keep it up guys, well done Brian.

Just purchased large chips and normal fishcake, Really disappointed with large chips portion size, really measly, was served by new member of staff.... would like to see small chips size. Will mention when next in.

This place is opposite flint town hall, the best chips in town, run by Mario, he has been here a few years now, always busy. So that says it all.

Always choose this chip shop, even though it's further to travel. Really nice chips, batter is always light and crispy on the fish, big portions too.

Seit mehr als ein halbes Jahrhundert gibt es an dieses Standort ein Pommes Bude, ich kann mich immer noch daran erinnern, wie wir in der 70ige nach dem Blasen Chor Probe hier Pommes als Belohnung geholt haben.

The best fish and chips in town, nice and clean and good value, you can get all your regular stuff here too right in the heart of flint.always packed at lunch time.

Chips and other products ,have slipped, so started using flints other chippy, which is much nicer, well that's my oppinion
