Having been here before, but not for a while, 4 of us went here last night on our way back from the airport. On the window by the door was a '5' hygiene score, so we were looking forward to it. We went in and were greeted by a horrible noise coming from lots of speakers. The owners (and perhaps the couple of customers who were there) might have thought it was music, but we didn't. It was awful, and loud enough to make conversation difficult. 2 of us approached the bar to order drinks while the other 2 looked for the quietest place in the building but it occurred to us to ask first if they served food. They didn't, said the barman and as he didn't offer any further details and seemed to think the question was amusing I think it's safe to assume they aren't going to start again soon. So for anyone like us who thinks it might be a nice place for a meal, think again and go somewhere else.

Another Sunday lunch trip. Not been here for many years - whoever decided to paint the outside dirty grey wants shooting - makes you feel depressed just looking at it. A tired feeling inside - a lick of paint would help, and gents toilets need an upgrade. However cannot complain about the menu ( no lamb though)- good choice of starters and mains. Meats that we had were excellent and plentiful, roast potatoes just right, and veg piping hot and plentiful too. Red cabbage was super and we asked what the ingredients were - that good. Staff polite and helpful.

We took our 6 year old daughter to The Bridge Inn. The toilet paper dispenser on the wall fell open and banged my daughter on the head. I reported the incident to the guy behind the bar, who I believe is the manager. His response was ‘oh right’ and he walked away. No offer of an apology to my daughter who was clearly distressed. We didn’t order food after that and will be looking for a new local! Absolutely shocking!

Well disappointed after my last visit. We booked for a Christmas Lunch and it was awful very little of it Turkey was dry vegetables were not warm. The start was vegetable soup more like dishwater it was tasteless the only thing going for it was it was warm the third course I had was cheesecake not home made and was ok in actual fact it was the best of a bad bunch. Also on arriving at the place there is only one disabled bay and that was populated by a commercial van. After this experience I do not think I will be returning

Had lunch with friends so there were 4 of us. Really nice welcome from Liz. Comfortable dining room. Good choice on the menu. 2 of our party had pizza which was excellent. Food was obviously freshly cooked to order. The steak & ale pie was homemade. Overall extremely good. We’ll be back especially as they do a 2 for 1 early bird for bookings 5-6pm Tuesday to Friday.

I have been to many establishments for Sunday lunch, but this one is by far one of the best. You can have a choice of meats from beef turkey and lamb. I had lamb it was very tasty and just enough for me. Vegatables were served in a separate dish and were cooked to perfection. I also had a Starter of mushrooms with garlic and blue cheese sauce it was good tasting. My only downside to this is car parking. I am disabled and there are no disabled slots which in this day and age is bad

Since it re-openned, I have been quite a few times and love the place. Great friendly atmosphere, lovely food, I've had a few Sunday roasts there and they were superb. I really enjoy the starters and the roasts are brilliant, fresh veg, nice meat and well presented. Staff and customers are very friendly and the place has a fresh, well looked after feel to it. I've spoken to a few work colleagues who have been there for food just to try it since the new owners have taken it over and they have all been back again, Well recommended.

I came here on Saturday evening, with family. We were met with a warm welcome and the atmosphere was very homely and festive. All the meals are home-cooked, and I recommend the sirloin steak with the garlic prawns; the meat was very tender. The mixed grill was also a very good choice. We left having had a very enjoyable evening, and I hope to go there again sometime.

Staff are always friendly. When busy can take a while for food to come but this has never bothered us as we know everything is cooked fresh.

Just had my Dads wake here and got to say was very disappointed. We paid for them to cater for 80 people, there was no way they did any where near that. Because there was quite a few children going we took cakes, they wouldnt even supply plates or cultery for us to eat them, because they were nothing to do with them-their words. Disgusting, they just made a sad day worse.

Called ad hoc for Sunday lunch..what a surprise. £9.99 three courses. Not expecting much at that price..well we were wrong.. Starter of mushroom soup, delicious.. Beef roast was loverly, fresh hot veg, meat melted in mouth..roasties perfect. Had a little wait to be served but worth the wait, hot and all fresh veg.. . if I had to find fault, the cup could have been cleaner... Left very full and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It was inexpenve for quality food.. No quibble when asked for gluten free.

Let's start by putting forward the positives; the atmosphere, area, cleanliness and drink prices. The drawbacks? The staff weren't very friendly nor helpful. The prices of food are quite expensive for the portion sizes. If you're out and about in Sandycroft I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place; as there aren't many others it is worth a visit. Just don't expect anything great.

Our first impressions were positive when entering the Pub, this soon changed as The Bridge Inn suffers from many faults. Firstly the person behind the bar was very rude and spent a considerable amount of time on a mobile phone before serving myself and my friend. I ordered a chicken burger meal with home made chips on the side, the presentation was very good except the chicken was cold. I asked the person behind the bar whether it could be changed as I wasn't satisfied, she questioned why and then when I pointed out that the chicken was cold she denied the claims. At this point I asked for the Chef who also said that there was no issues with the meal. At this point I knew they wouldn't change the meal so I left it on the table and left The Bridge Inn, vowing to never return. My friend who was present with me also said he would never return after these experiences. I suggest the staff change their appalling attitudes and improve there customer service skills ASAP.

I was really looking forward to spending a night with family members at this restaurant but what a let down it was. The place its self is nice but what a shame about the service. The staff were miserable and the bar staff just were not interested in making this a special occassion. We were a large party and were spending a lot of money here. Pate was not served with the chutney it mentioned on the menu. When queried we were told oh have they not put it on... later they bought one of those cheap mango chutneys which you serve with curry ! not what i wanted and ordered !! no apologies or explanation as to why We asked for condiments and was told when everyone is served we will bring them out. So the people who had their meals first out of the 30 people had to wait and let their food go cold before we could have any salt etc !!! i was so disappointed with the level of service here that I will not return . Bar staff too busy on their mobile phones to make any effort at all :(

Went here with my mother in law who was visiting for weekend from London. We thought it was still under the old owners (who have Crown and Liver) but still we were pleasantly surprised. We were made to feel very welcome, all food is cooked fresh, so u may have to wait a little longer than other places that do 'ping' food! But when it came it was gorgeous. I had gammon, which came with home cooked chips, best ive ever had. Value for money and a nice environment to eat in, we will definitely be back. They advertise a 3 course Sunday roast for £10pp, so i think we will have to check that out!! Highly recommend this place!!! xx

Sat 31st may 2014...called in for a pint and a meal..after studying the menu, asked barmen if the burgers are proper Beef..The reply was "yes" ..at £8.25p for Burger and "hand cut chips" ..I was suprised to be handed a plate of soggy Chunky chips..and a burger which was cremated....I told the Barmen about the state of my meal...he said "I will pass it on to the Chef"..And did not return with any feedback... I went to find him ..asking ..have you spoken to the chef...yes ..he said and..... "she said sorry" ...so I asked why he did not relay the information back to me...he said he was sorry...and that was it...Pathetic way to run a Business...you are better going to Mc Donalds than this overpriced uncaring establishment...no prizes on offer there for the master chef...avoid at all costs...They deserve to go out of Business..and probably will in the very near future....
