Lovely lunch of mushroom stroganoff and cheesecake. Nice staff, lovely location

I am visiting from Michigan, USA and had spent the day with family hiking. It was 7:30pm and we stumbled upon this gem. They accommodated a large party of 6 and handled dietary restrictions. The food was great and so was the service. Fiona was attentive and friendly. They are doing some improvements currently like installing a couple of wood burning fireplaces so I will be excited to see what it’s like on my next visit!

When you want a nice pint of Guinness and a decent bit of food after a long walk to moel famau from loggerheads then you need to call here! The gammon steak was excellent cooked to perfection and the pint of Guinness was perfect The service is excellent the staff very attentive and I love the fact they are genuinely interested in where you’ve been Looking around I everyone seemed to enjoy their food Definitely recommend

Myself & my partner were travelling to Ruthin on Sunday and decided to call at the Three Loggerheads for lunch. We had not booked a table but Katie our waitress said it wasn't a problem and showed us a choice of tables.I ordered the lamb roast dinner while my partner ordered the fish & chips with mushy peas and curry sauce.My dinner was one of the best I have eaten in a long while with all freshly prepared ingredients ( not out of a can as some reviews have posted) while my partner said her fish & ships were spot on with fresh fish , crispy batter and she loved the home made curry sauce (please see attached photos ). We travel to Ruthin twice a month as I have family there and will make the Three Loggerheads our destination for lunch going forward. Dave & Julie , Chester.

I booked this last minute for a family Sunday Lunch, and wasn't sure what to expect really. Anyway, we had a lovely meal. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the pub/restaurant was clean and welcoming. We ordered a mixture of food and one person had the roast. We had home-made chips with vegan burgers and a large fish. Curry sauce was available for the chips which some of us loved. The Yorkshire pudding was large (not Aunt Bessie's as claimed in another post), and the veg was fresh. We had to wait a bit too long for food, but when it came it was good. I'd definitely eat here again.

Lovely sunny evening, great atmosphere. Staff as always very welcoming. Food ordered, arrived very swiftly. Hot and tasty, homemade chips, fish and mushy peas and mushroom stroganoff. Staff attentive throughout, couldn't ask for more. Fiona the owner couldn't do anymore to make the visit enjoyable. Always enjoy our visits here, its our local. Sunny evening, really busy. Lovely greeting as usual. Fab local pub, always a lovely atmosphere. Food ordered, swiftly brought to us, hot and delicious, great homemade chips, big fish and mushy peas and mushroom stroganoff, can't fault, great pub food. Fiona, the owner and her lovely staff are attentive through out. We enjoy a walk in the Loggerheads Country Park and then call in regularly, always looked after, whether just for drinks or having food. Thanks again Fiona, lovely visiting you.

The best roast dinner we have had In a very long time.. From the meat to the peas.. Just a pity no cauliflower cheese as a add on...But will definitely be back

Lovely little pub that does nice food, tucked away near Loggerheads for some scenic walks and history. I had a burger and fries which were very nice and a good portion, would happily visit again!

Very tasty meal. Finally had my Sunday Roast. Friendly staff. Good ales. Nice setting. Just the food service was slow. Maybe ask for a quicker meal service, we were starving, after walking the Offa’s Dyke Path, all day.

Booked a table for 22 for a Sunday roast. Absolutely fantastic service beforehand and on the day. Really friendly staff and the food was just superb. The best way to finish the day after a hike up Moel Famau 😊

We attended on Easter Sunday for a beautiful lamb dinner 🥘 5 stars for this beautiful meal.

Called in to this pub following a walk in the country park across the road. Very welcoming and attentive, polite stall, nice food. Only comment would be on leaving from the up stair restaurant the steps were obstructed by a table so used the ramp, very slippery at the bottom and nearly lost my footing. Maybe some form of gripper coating on the timber would help?

Food was very nice we had four clean plates, service was very good ,pub catered for everyone and dogs

We arrived just before it started getting busy, around 3pm on a Fri. Nice and cosy inside, doggy friendly. Nice selection of drinks and I could have had 1 of everything off the menu. We both had lasagne and the portion size with a shared side of chips was just enough. I would recommend this location and great seating outside looking down the river when the weather warms up.

Had a great Sunday roast after a walk. All made fresh no frozen/mircowave food here. Very friendly staff.

Went here after a walk up Moel Famau. The pub was very busy and we felt like there was a lack of seating. After standing at the bar for some time, we managed to rush to a seat. Though this was lovely table in the corner, unfortunately there was a terrible draft. The Guinness was good!

Love this place so welcome and homely and the food is fantastic. Great place to stop off after or before a walk.

Booked here for my 65th birthday, menu plan was given in advance, table was booked for9 people for 5om, they did a lovely table for me even putting up banners and balloons that were given food was served with smiles all very pleasant and food was lovely, attentive staff, would highly recommend this place,

Excellent service and fabulous home cooked food. The staff were attentive and efficient. The food was really excellent, with a good hearty serving. We had roast beef and pork, with a range of fresh and home cooked food. Could not have been happier.

This is my Post Run Moel Famau Pub of choice. Lovely staff and pub. Not had the food........Yet but menu looks tasty!

3 of us had the most amazing meal here tonight. Lovely staff, everything is home cooked and reasonable prices. One of our 3 is vegetarian and she was really pleased with her options. We were all so impressed we cancelled our works Christmas meal and booked it here instead. We will definitely be back lots more.

Great service and nice atmosphere..

Although we have visited Loggerheads mant times since the '60s this was our first visit to the "We Three" pub. Easy parking, very friendly reception and sevice and great reasonably priced food. The pub has loads of character and plenty of space. We'll be back!

Enjoyed the stay. Only one night. The room was a bit musty and the sheets needed changing so took a couple of stars off for that. The staff were nice. Food was ok. Word of advice if you're having the lasagna though. If you can't find it it's under the garlic bread.

Excellent, loved it. Theres alway a nice pint on the pumps here, good food, and the added bonus of the fish and chip truck outside which does salt and Pepper chicken ball, and s+p chips aswell, makes for a lovely outside experience too.

After a lovely walk around Loggerheads, we booked in for dinner, great food, great service, couldn’t fault it.

The location is very ideal situated near the country park. The rooms are lovely and spacious and well presented. And the food was SO GOOD! Highly recommended. (Staff were lovely too!)

Midweek treat excellent food and service , will be returning very soon I have no doubt.

We'd been walking in Loggerheads country park and needed somewhere to eat for lunch. We Three Loggerheads was the perfect place as it is dog friendly, and as it was a sunny day we used one of the outdoor covered tables. (Dogs allowed inside as well) Steak and strawberries was excellent. Visited again a few days later, this time indoors, same great service, same great steak ! Location is perfect after some dog walking in the park. Lovely scenery.

Food not good. Ordered a Sunday meal. All tastless. Only offer of beef and pork. Meat was in slices and tastless. Roast potatoes were overcooked as was Yorkshire puds. Veggies were coalifower thrown into a bowl. Worst was the gravy. Tastless and gave me colitis! Would not recommend unless they actually get professional support and chefs... Seriously disappointed! Shame. Wish them the best in future....

The best vegetarian burger I've ever had! Good drinks and lovely outdoor area. They take real pride in all they're food, not a bad price for top class food. Highly recommended!

Booked in for their Friday Steak & Strawberries Special. Service was very good, Steak was Rump, which we ordered Med Rare, my Husbands was spot on, mine was very chewy and more on the rare side. (Rump can be bit hit & miss) couldn't fault anything else!

It was where we needed a place to stay. Room was clean and nice, but up stairs, no a/c. Booking agency said another place nearby had a better breakfast, so did not reserve breakfast here... Did not reckon on departure day being Sunday. No other place open, and they did not allow us to add a breakfast! Not sure it is right called a B&B...

Salutations, tis a fine establishment ye have here. For the mighty price of £2.50 (or 86 smeckles) one would expect a bowl of steaming , quivering , juicy chips. Yet we were offered nothing but the sweet smells of disappointment. This is the highest of crimes. The family next to us had children with them which I found sickening as well. One of the horrible youths wouldn’t even offer me one of their chips for a toke. All hail Zorp

Room was ok but carpet behind bed filthy dusty and cobwebs. We thought we had paid for breakfast but apparently not for what we paid £100 this definitely should have been included !!! Wouldn't stay again !!

What a gorgeous little pub. We stopped here for a drink and some food after a walk. The sun was shining the beer garden was lovely they sell a range of thatchers ciders cloudy lemon was absolutely lovely. We ordered a couple of sandwiches off the menu which were delicious and honestly the best chips I've tatsed in a while. Great service too the staff were lovely.

Great place to have a late lunch after a nice long hike at Loggerheads Park! Conveniently located across the road from the parking lot for the park - a lovely outside space with picnic tables and patio umbrellas- it was a little cool so we sat inside for our lunch/eats - very quaint/clean and there was lots and lots of space inside due to the timing we chose to eat

We came for a family members 50th birthday meal and the experience did not fantastic! The food was gorgeous, service was very attentive and excellent! We also came on Christmas day for our lunch so we knew how brilliant it would be, thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and quick with the service!!

Not been here for a while, but we have called in twice recently. Both times we have received really good food and service. I see from other reviews that Loggerheads seems to get more than its fair share of criticism, so I felt it only right to give credit for helpful friendly service and nice quality food.

We live local and decided to walk down to the pub for a pre booked lunch On arrival we were seated by a lovely young man who was very attentive unfortunately we never got his name but brilliant none the less Ordered a bottle of wine 2 lovely roast beef Sunday lunches with a few extra sides extra roasties and some lovely cauliflower cheese both were delicious The beef was most definitely from a joint and was delicious from the butchers in Denbigh that we supply with ingredients too so keep it local I say All in all must say lovely Sunday lunch We will be back very soon Thanks

Wanted to review as so many negative comments on here. We had a lovely relaxed family meal. Staff were lovely and food was fab. Chilled out atmosphere, perfect end to our day out 👍

Myself and roughly 20 others went on our Boxing Day walk and came to this pub for a drink and bar snacks. There was a lovely 20 something year old lad serving us completely on his own - each couple spending roughly £20 each. The landlord/ owner/ manager was so rude and completely inhospitable, if it wasn’t for the bar tender I think we would’ve all walked out. The landlord made it very clear he didn’t want us there and he didn’t want to be there either - he barged past us and slammed the food on the table, telling us we shouldn’t have ordered downstairs as food was upstairs only. If you want to be shouted at for spending your money - this is your place!!

Visited last night with 5 friends. We were passing after spa break and noticed it. Upon entering we were greeted warmly and sat down. Menu was fabulous and Christmas menu even more so ! Food was high quality and good portion size ! Nothing was too much trouble ! Would definitely recommend and return ! Can’t wait to go back with family !!!! Only minor issue was it was a bit cold. However it’s a stone building and -7 outside so would always be a problem to keep warm ! Would not put me off going back ! Thank you !!!

Arrived and then kept waiting for quite some time on the stairs behind a big barrier. I was immediately put off, Should have listened to my instincts. My daughters' order was not listened to and I was given a very poor excuse for a roast dinner - packet meat and a black Yorkshire pudding. The waiter insisted it was carved off a joint but it was rubbery and machine sliced, same as you can buy from a budget supermarket. He also asked us to pay the bill while my son was still eating. We are local, 5minutes away but will never be visiting again.

We had the lamb Sunday roast dinner which was fantastic and the waffles and sticky toffee pudding for desert were delicious. Could not fault the food 5/5 star, Service was good but very slow hence giving 4 stars.

Had our second visit today. Excellent food and really good value for money. I had the rump steak and it was very good. The owners are lovely and really friendly. We visited in the summer and had a really good Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.
