As you would expect spoons to be. One occasion the fryer wasn't working but gave other options. I was impressed with that.

Great food as usual but noodle ball best yet and can I say the staff exceptionally caring and above and beyond when asked for help .

As all spoons, food rushed yet was warm not hot and fresh so wasn't eaten! Slow tables service,tables left over an hour without being cleaned and toilets definitely not checked regularly. Disappointing

Popped in for a bottomless coffee. Only £1.04. Nice atmosphere not too busy on an October Tuesday. Really good toilets (but upstairs)

Not much to say really, its a wetherspoons, all very much the same, only problems short staffed behind bar, long wait times, and as such, had to clear tables ourselves to find somewhere to sit, but otherwise OK

It's a cross between a transport cafe and a railway station bar, but excells on price and convenience. It's not the most atmospheric spoons locally (those in Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Ruthin are based in far more interesting buildings) but hey ho, this is Rhyl and passable is ok

Great pub. Had the freedom breakfast both mornings whilst staying there. Spot on both days, fast hot and great price.

We dined here three nights on the trot. The food is average, definitely not the best we have had ftom a Spoons. On the second night the meal we wanted although advertised was not avaliable, so we changed our order. We intended dining here for a third night, but the same meal was again off the menue, but this time so we're our alternate choices. So we left and went for a Chinese instead. The only saving grace for this Spoons is the staff who were pleasant and very helpful.

Pizza came a little underdone but when I asked for it to be cooked another 5 mins there wasn't a complaint the waitress was lovely and did me a fresh one which was excellent

Food was quick and nice enough, bathroom was clean, older lady bringing food was a bit moody but young lass behind the bar was lovely. Nice outside sitting area in the sun and drinks are made quick and nice.

One of the staff gave me an attitude just because I was sitting outside with my guinea pigs in the pet pram and as but anybody out they allow it they pissed me off I wouldn't go there

What can I say... Googled dog friendly pubs this came up. Raining and cold found dogs not allowed inside so sat in sheltered bit outside. I went to order only to find my daughter had been told to move as dog not allowed under shelter all other seating area away from the pub soaking wet with no shelter. Left and would not return. It is out of season and provisions should be made for people with pets to enjoy a meal. I

I was very relaxed sitting outside in the sun with a drink. The staff were very happy to help and seemed very happy in their work. Clean tables, everywhere looked very clean.

It was very busy and only two staff members on the bar we had to clear & wipe our own table and my daughter ordered curry but half the rice was burn and all stuck together

Got to be the worst Wetherspoons I have ever been in. Tables filthy, food was awful mixed grill was dry, fish and chips ok, burger was awful. Chips weee soggy, then to add insult to injury they girl Took our plates before we had finished. Won’t be returning and will tell everyone coming to Rhyl to avoid.

The food looked like it was worth twice the price we paid for it when it arrived but was sadly let down by being too cold, especially the bacon which was more like ham from a fridge. That said the service was excellent and for the price it was a bargain! Inside was clean and tidy and all the staff seemed happy to be there and were very friendly.

Basic for a wetherspoons. But friendly staff . Good service,and prices low for a seaside resort establishment. It's in the town at Rhyl,and a few minutes walk and your on the beach. Food was ok 👍

Decent food (wish they crisped the bacon though). They had two coffee machines with one being able to make iced coffees which was good! Parking is available on the side streets but I’m not sure how hard it will be to park in the holiday season.

Nice open and wide range of choices available. For mobility issues nice lower level toilet available. Great hard working friendly staff too.

Standard Wetherspoons affair here. If you're a regular at spoons this will not feel any different. The food arrived quickly & there was a good turnover of customers. We had a few starters to eat & a drink. ✨

Not the best experience, table of 7 of us ordered food, all came at different times and the last meal over 30 mins later than the first so the rest of the group were finished, staff attitude to complain ws simply it's busy 😳 the only plus was cheap, the mixed grills looked pitiful and poorly presented

One of the worst wetherspoons experiences of my life, attended for a nice breakfast but had to spend my entire time listening to a junkie threaten to "put his dad to sleep" whilst screaming on the phone. Instead of removing said gentleman from the bar they served him another pint!! All this before 10am. Not sure I'll be visiting again which is a shame as a I love me a wethers

Having stayed at the Premier Inn on the Rhyl seafront, I discovered this pub, which was situated a couple of streets behind the beach front. It has a good selection of real ales and an extensive choice of food on the menu, which represents excellent value for money. I would thoroughly recommend this J D Wethersoon pub.

Not as cheap as my local but still reasonable, can get quite busy on weekends, staff are friendly and the beer is good

I mean, a spoons is a spoons but I'm leaving the review as our food came so surprisingly quick, and the customer service was bloody brilliant! The chap who waited on our table was really friendly and was lovely with my little girl! Nothing was too much trouble! Food was a great price, hot and really very enjoyable!

Came in for breakfast on day one of our holiday in North Wales. The service was brilliant - everyone was so friendly and helpful, and couldn’t have done more to ensure we were happy with everything. The food was hot, fresh and perfectly cooked! One of the best Wetherspoons breakfasts we’ve had in a long time.

By Wetherspoon standards our visit on 11 August 2019 was a little disappointing though still enjoyable. The staff were working flat out to get the food out but all staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The Shipyard was spot on and JD honey glaze was well up to scratch. The two sirloin steaks we had were tough though and had a fair amount of fat and gristle, there wasn't the usual chargrill flavour either but taste was ok. The Peppercorn sauce was bitter so not really edible. Chips and jacket were as expected. So the drinks and JD glaze lifted a generally below average experience but there's no faulting the staff at what was a busy time. I'd go back but prolly not have the steak next time.

We were on holiday in Rhyl and called in the Sussex for a drink and something to eat. It was busy but we got a table, the food was excellent and drinks were acceptable.

We had a lovely meal, and the place was spotless

Called in for a coffee while I was in rhyl, clean toilets, in ground floor (disabled) usual high standrerd staff were helpful.

My partner waited outside with our two small dogs as there was a clear sign stating no dogs allowed on the premises. I went inside and purchased two drinks. As I went back outside there was a member of staff informing my partner we wasn’t aloud to sit outside with our dogs!! But as we had purchased two drinks we could drink those but then would we leave….. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. There was no signs stating no dogs outside. Another couple came to sit by us with there two dogs we informed them what we had been told they went to the pub over the road. We have used other weather spoon pubs in different locations and never be told this. Good way to loose money. Oh and our dogs were better behaved than half the children sitting outside. Won’t use weather spoons again

A little apprehensive of visiting a new spoons but ended up being a great visit. Service was great breakfast food was brilliant and very reasonably priced as always. Good atmosphere.

Always like Wetherspoons as foods good and for families good value for money. Plenty of variety and staff lovely. Liked it better when the water for the tea was separate to having it in the coffee machine not the same now.

What can I say its weatherspoons.good value for money .not easy to park there but it is in the middle of rhyl so parking near by .

A good JD pub clean and a good range of drinks including some real ales I love the Adams ale they have on at the moment . Cannot comment on the food as not tried yet.But it's JD so will much the same as all others😊 UPDATE have now tried food and I have to say it's very good & as a vegetarian I find there is a good range of food on offer. March 24 back again and just as good as B4.

Typical Wetherspoons really, reasonably busy for early afternoon during off season. Food was good, service was good.

Comfortable pub with good value food. Being a vegetarian pleased with suitable meals. Tables cleared away quite quickly but as yet have not seen one table sprayed & cleaned after people have left.

For what Wetherspoons is known for food is not to bad and the pints are cheaper then anywhere else.

Ordered a burger sentbit back because it was burnt to a crisp. Replacement came eventually and it was still burnt. Major problems here . We use to eay here every week but now lost our business

Nice pub and relaxed atmosphere

So we had the valentines deal last night. I asked for steak med rare it was medium but it was very fatty and I couldn't cut it! The pepper sauce was unlike any other I'd had before, not nice. Our food arrived at different times. Our puddings were disappointing and arrived at different times! The staff seemed not bothered. Very disappointing guys!

Gets a 5:star due to the great staff, who knows their regulars and always provide great service. Special mentions to Chloe, Chelsea, Chrissy, Vicky and Tom. It may not be the fanciest Wetherspoons, but the staff are definitely some of the best

I am so impressed with the staff at Wetherspoons Rhyl, 2 males in particular. A gentleman in a Wheelchair who was non-verbal came in, A staff member got his beaker and made a cup of tea for him. Another came out and was chatting to him. They wiped his mouth when he was done. It was so lovely to see, They were so respectfull. It made me smile....Prays the Lord for decent human beings. Thank you
