What can I say its weatherspoons.good value for money .not easy to park there but it is in the middle of rhyl so parking near by .

Typical Wetherspoons really, reasonably busy for early afternoon during off season. Food was good, service was good.

A good JD pub clean and a good range of drinks including some real ales I love the Adams ale they have on at the moment . Cannot comment on the food as not tried yet.But it's JD so will much the same as all others😊 UPDATE have now tried food and I have to say it's very good & as a vegetarian I find there is a good range of food on offer. March 24 back again and just as good as B4.

Comfortable pub with good value food. Being a vegetarian pleased with suitable meals. Tables cleared away quite quickly but as yet have not seen one table sprayed & cleaned after people have left.

For what Wetherspoons is known for food is not to bad and the pints are cheaper then anywhere else.

Great place all staff arr amazingly friendly and welcoming.

The freedom breakfast is just enough, staff are pleasant and service is quick,The atmosphere is good too.

Call here often for breakfast and coffee ☕ great value 👌 and free refills.

Ordered a burger sentbit back because it was burnt to a crisp. Replacement came eventually and it was still burnt. Major problems here . We use to eay here every week but now lost our business

So we had the valentines deal last night. I asked for steak med rare it was medium but it was very fatty and I couldn't cut it! The pepper sauce was unlike any other I'd had before, not nice. Our food arrived at different times. Our puddings were disappointing and arrived at different times! The staff seemed not bothered. Very disappointing guys!

Nice pub and relaxed atmosphere

Gets a 5:star due to the great staff, who knows their regulars and always provide great service. Special mentions to Chloe, Chelsea, Chrissy, Vicky and Tom. It may not be the fanciest Wetherspoons, but the staff are definitely some of the best

I am so impressed with the staff at Wetherspoons Rhyl, 2 males in particular. A gentleman in a Wheelchair who was non-verbal came in, A staff member got his beaker and made a cup of tea for him. Another came out and was chatting to him. They wiped his mouth when he was done. It was so lovely to see, They were so respectfull. It made me smile....Prays the Lord for decent human beings. Thank you

I do like Wetherspoon, but it's only lately I have started to pop back in at Wetherspoon. I have always found the food to be good & the service friendly. To be honest, this is all I ask for when I pop to any place. Good service friendly staff & good food if served what else can anyone ask for

Been serving me all day but then asks for id after my 9th drink i come here every week but kids in school uniform sitting her getting pissed but not getting id stupid

Food came within a decent time and so did the drinks but that is the only positive. Ordered a mixed grill,it came and the sausage was a vegetarian one even it stated it would be a meat sausage,so didn't eat that. Ordered beef burger which was absolutely vile,the bun it came on tasted like it had been sprayed with sea water,was absolutely disgusting. Chips appeared to be rationed also. People on surrounding tables were constantly sending their food back for various reasons. Would not return here unless absolutely starving and nowhere else was open.

Well, I have to say, it really doesn't matter where you go in the UK I don't think you can find a bad Wetherspoons!! We were struggling to find somewhere in Rhyl to go for some lunch on a terrible day of weather!! So we found a Wetherspoons and we got what we expected. Excellent value for money. Easy ordering. Comfy. Warm. Just what we needed with 2 families with kids!!

Had panini chicken bbq chese , looked like been slapped on 2 tuny pieces of chicken, more bread than anything for the price ,not impressed.

This friendly establishment needs sorting out,. One cannot hear the other one speak as those on nearby tables, scream not speak and as to refer to Health and Safety, they would have a field day here as, I've seen young children lifted up and sat on the bar, I've also seen them running riot, how the staff cope with delivering food to the tales, it must be like an assault course at times. Surely this establishment needs some reorganising other wise it's going to be known as a play centre rather than a local eatery. My advice to those adults who prefer a quite drink, go elsewhere.

It is a Wethersloons the staff were friendly and helpful, the beer was great and the food was fresh and well cooked. Not gourmet but excellent.

Came here while in Rhyl for lunch Food was delicious, piping hot , well presented been here last year and it was definitely improved since then ( maybe new chef but certainly a lot better ) I opted for large mixed grill / jacket potato , presented great well cooked piping hot would highly rate the chef obviously knows their food temperatures and presentation

Visited The Sussex on a Friday evening for a bite to eat. Food was good, especially for a weatherspoons. I had a mixed grill with a side of halloumi fries. The service was quick and employees full of smiles. The Sussex being in a seaside resort does have a mixture of people and there are large groups and families that were there so it’s safe to say that everyone is welcome. There’s several rooms some quieter than others.

A typical Spoons thriving at lunchtime. A reasonable choice of cask ales quickly served by friendly bar staff.

Food and staff were excellent however the furniture and decor is tired and dated.

Ate in here whilst on holiday. Pretty standard Spoons. The service was much friendlier and more efficient than the spoons in Llandudno.

Food took literally 10 minutes to be delivered to our table from ordering, we're very helpful and kind to myself and my family. Other customers were polite and friendly, just here and there it got a bit noisy and rowdy while my children were trying to eat but that is no fault of the staff themselves. I enjoyed my food and so did my family, my partner was very happy with the value as well as the quality and quantity

They were not serving pizza on the day I went so I had an American hamburger and so did dad. My aunt had jacket potato and tuna we all had a lager shandy so cheap. Foods average but service was good. Friendly and food was hot. Drinks cold perfect for a cheap meal and a good laugh with family

Went here with my friend yesterday for a cheap and cheerful meal & drink. I ordered the wiltshire ham, egg & chips( small plate). Nothing fancy, nothing difficult - right? It was absolutely abysmal…. My chips were the contents of the bottom of the bag, all small & hard bits. The egg was overdone underneath. I called a member of staff over and asked for my meal to be replaced. This was willingly done, with no fuss. The replacement meal was brought out to me, but I swear the chips were the same ones, and this time, the fried egg was COLD and the chips were barely warm!! Did not enjoy this experience whatsoever!!

Only place we could find open that looked remotely inviting. Table was cleaned as we sat down but menus filthy and sticky. Dining area near the front had some natural light but the rest was dark and dingy. Food was acceptable and arrived quickly. Had wanted a salad but there were none available.

Group of 10 came here for dinner after a trip to Rhyl the service was good with polite staff and all the food was nice and everything was eaten and the gourmet steak dish I had was done to perfection of how I wanted it rare.

One of the best Witherspoons we have been to and we tend to go to one everywhere we visit in the country so we have been to a lot here and Ireland the chicken wings were cooked perfect as was the cod crispy batter just as I like it ,we would definitely go again when in that area 👌

Have had multiple experiences here where both me and the person I've ate with have left with upset stomachs or throwing up - today being one of many. Had times with food served burnt and been refused to be recooked/refunded or food has been served cold again more than one occasion as well as the odd rude member of staff

Absolutely great meal at the Sussex the other day. 3 meals and drinks £26 absolute bargain, the fish was massive and very tasty. The guy who served me also knew how to pour a Guinness and not rush it Highly recommend this pub

Staff were nice and friendly, but the food, after a fair wait for it, was disappointed with the food.

Experience this time better than before, food and service ok. They wipe down tables but walk all over food on the floor not good. Maybe they need to go to Specsavers in Rhyl.

Service was blunt, cutlery thrown on table. Hot plates put straight in front of a 5 month old baby. Took a long time to sort bar order , although lad serving was polite and courteous. Very disappointing for a wetherspoons

We went in for a late breakfast and although the service was lovely, the food arrived tepid (although it was cooked sufficiently), and the locals in the bar were rather depressing. The vibe we got was a bit down, and didn't really enjoy the visit, although the food filled a hole if a little cold for our liking. There is plenty of disabled parking on the street around the corner, and easy access to the entrance to the venue

Food was served quick,staff polite, my chicken bites meal was nice & hot, but the Wife's meal (All day brunch) was only warm, but she was starving so eat it anyway 👍

So I had an idea that irun past the manager, he couldn't care less, it was a 2 tier wether spoons upstairs for the discerning who will pay more and downstairs for the soggy chip brigade

Went on a bus trip and had lunch at Wetherspoon. It was very clean/tidy. Staff was very helpful and the meal was really good.

Very dog unfriendly, even outside.

Staff rushed off their feet, food was disgusting, i received a burned burger twice and it was cold.

Sat outside Just now Just finishing our cocktails off, but when ordering food, they brought my partners wrong meal, although my mixed grill was well over cooked, also was my partners, went outside and the tables still haven't been cleaned at least for a good 2 hours

The young blond barmaid was very helpful and polite. For this reason I returned later in the day for a few pints and I would definitely have food and drink here again

The place has improved a fair bit no longer does it feel grubby and the food and drinks were great.

We called in here for Breakfast one morning & the place wasn't that busy so we ordered the Wetherspoons breakfast, which came pretty quick but it was cold & i even swapped my beans for mushrooms as i don't eat beans, i recieved 1 tiny mushroom on my plate. We decided to give the Sussex the benefit of the doubt & returned in the evening meal. I ordered the 8oz steak with peppercorn sauce ( Medium to well done ), my partner ordered the mixed grill with English salad and jacket potatoes. The meals arrived & the was no salad on either plates, when we queried this the server said its not part of the meal, also my steak was not cooked properly and was full of fat and grizzle, also my partner's mixed grill was also undercooked and full of fat. When we complained the server asked us if we would like to speak to the manager, i said yes. 5 minutes later the server came back and said " The managers has asked if you would like another meal or desert free " we opted for the desert as we was hungry & didn't fancy another rubber meat meal, it was also ashamed that the manager didn't have the guts to chat with us. And as we was waiting for our food we witnessed to women outside our window table dealing DRUGS to some young adults. This is not the weather spoons pub i want to drink or eat in ever again. Avoid if you don't want rubber food or cold food, the only good thing was the drinks are priced good for the pub.

Busy, but food came in good time via the app. Only gripe is when the big windows were opened, cigarette smoke was being blown back in from those sitting outside.

Popped in for food - the pub wasn't really that busy, yet we made FOUR trips to/from the bar to order our food as every time we went to order, we were told that something wasn't available. First time I've had this experience in a Wetherspoons so I can only assume they need to order more ingrendients perhaps? Beer was ok, but glasses weren't very clean. Table was uncomfortable to eat at as they were crammed into the space, close to the wall etc. Probably wouldn't return. Seemed understaffed too as service was slow.

We have been enjoying dining at various Wetherspoons pubs whilst touring around in our caravan recently. It was Thursday so Curry Day at a bargain price. Sometimes we order two different curries and share them but we both fancied the Chicken Jalfrezi so ordered two which included rice, a large Naan Bread, two large poppadoms and Mango Chutney. Unfortunately they didn't bring the pots of chutney which was annoying as this has happened when having curry at other restaurants, so we asked at the bar if they had run out and she said no and brought us some. There was a good helping of chicken and we enjoyed the meal and were very full after! It was very busy and when ordering we were told there would be a 15 minute wait which wasn't a problem for us. My meal with a soft drink was £7.79 and my husbands with a pint of Guinness was £9.19.
