Bad customer service, it was very cold and they had the air con on, when we asked politely for it to be turned off the girls reply was “you can eat somewhere else” not the correct attitude at all for a paying customer

What a lovely little place! The cakes, ice cream, and coffee are all delicious. The staff have always been welcoming and incredibly courteous, and this is evident by how busy and diverse the environment is, which is truly lovely to be a part of. Dogs are not just tolerated but are as welcome as the human visitors. It’s a really lovely little place to head to and one I highly recommend.

Me and my chap came to Barmouth for a few days and we thought we would come here for food. Don’t get me wrong the food is lovely but the staff on the other hand there’s a a girl who will always be on her phone and she will see you waiting and carry on strolling. Some staff’s attitude towards people in this place is disgraceful & disgusting but there is some staff that are lovely and polite

The main problem is the fact that my 8 year old daughter got shouted at for sharing her own opinions about the food by a co worker. She is only young and I do not want to let it slide.Its unacceptable for a child to be shouted at for telling me i don't like the food.

Great coffee shop and doggy friendly. Popped in today after a 5 mile walk over to fairbourne and back on railway. I had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, wife had apple pie and ice cream, excellent cakes and whippy lce cream. Best little cafe and ice cream parlour in barmouth.

A bit hit and miss depending on who serves you but when you get the right person the milkshakes are to die for! The first time we visited they were so thick and creamy. The 2nd time didn’t even seem like there was any ice cream put in them. Just needs a bit more consistency and this place would be great.

Quick stop off for soup and roll along with a drink. No problem with service, staff were polite.

I went here with my family we had a tea and coffee and hot chocolate we drank the whole thing and when we got back way later we all threw up and felt sick and when we came back in later at some point we noticed your milk had been left out un refrigerated in the sun which is actually very bad hygiene this will cause the milk to go off and become not safe to consume

The food was excellent. Very friendly and polite staff. Highly recommended. Lovely atmosphere and a brilliant coffee. Very clean and tidy.

Very Disappointed how bad coffee was for a coffee shop

Blueberry ice cream was incredible. They filled my water bottle up without a moment's hesitation. Were happy to provide a glass of tap water with ice on another occasion (it was a very hot few days in Barmouth). Didn't eat it, but the place was always busy and there seemed to be a very nice atmosphere there.

We arrived in Barmouth at lunchtime and came across this place first. The jacket potato was absolutely gorgeous. Mashed with plenty of butter and served with a more than satisfying amount of cheese. Lovely garnish with salad cream on the side. That along with the great customer service deserved a 5 in itself, however, I went back before boarding the coach so that I could purchase an ice cream and this is where it went downhill. There were customers in front of the ice cream counter so the best view I had of the flavours was by the entrance/exit, as I was entering. The server requested I move whilst the till was open even though I was not standing close enough to reach in to it, as I had left a gap for other customers to go past me. I really hope she was not judging me because of my beautiful and natural sun-kissed complexion. I went from paying customer to potential thief (just scoping the place out) within the space of a few hours. Hilarious. Maybe the till should be moved from where it is, as there clearly seemed to be a concern when I returned to spend more money there. Now to the hygiene. The server wasn't wearing disposable gloves but I gave her the benefit of a doubt, after all, the place establishment was very clean. Well, it is a good thing I took a lengthy pause before deciding what to have. She scratched her face and proceeded to touch the top of each cone to tell me the variations in price. I don't recall asking for Ice-cream with flakes (of skin). Ewwww, I shall pass thanks. Was really looking forward to the cheesecake ice-cream. Ended up going somewhere else which wasn't satisfying at all. Maybe I should've gone with the flakes haha Nevermind. Quite a few other places to try out should I return to Barmouth.

On a recent trip to Barmouth I pleased to spot this ice cream shop which accommodated dogs. We went inside found seats and i proceeded to order my children some ice cream. The young girl who served me was really lovely and polite. However moving from this counter to the other to order coffee and cake it all went abit downhill. I was stood waiting to alone served whilst a young lad faffed doing jobs which honestly didn’t seem of upmost priority leaving a customer waiting to be served. He seemed to be purposely avoiding eye contact with me and not at any point did he say something as simple as sorry I won’t be a min. Once he finished messing about he juSt glared at me. No greeting no nothing. I ordered 2 coffees and said although we are eating in could we have them in take out cups so we could take Them with us. He said he wasn’t allowed to serve me indoor coffee in outdoor cups. I couldn’t be bothered to argue how silly this was. He then called a lady over for assistance she also did not acknowledge me and was very blunt in her interactions. Finally I ordered sat down only To be A. Brought the wrong cake b. Spot other customers inside with take out cups hmmm!!!! Over priced, poor quality, disgusting customer service !!! Honestly don’t bother

Good quality ice cream, nice and smooth with a lot of interesting flavours like mango. Service and price was good too, well recommended.

It looks amazing from outside but it's certainly not friendly, A young girl served me who has no manners she never spoke once just took my order never looked up, just took my money and that was it. We ordered two cakes but unfortunately one piece was stale (Red Velvet). The service was appalling, I will not be visiting again!

I am so angry right now. How on Earth can you justify charging so much for your icecream £14 for 2 tubs with 3 small scoops in each. Rip of in a big way

Called in for a drink a strawberry slush and some ice-cream (carte dor), blueberry and marshmallow. It was really nice. The lady serving me was really helpful, telling me I could mix the flavours of the slush if I chose to. (Clearly knew 60yr old me was a big kid) The place was clean and the staff friendly and efficient. Definitely recommended.

Ever year we come to Barmouth and use Antonia's with it's lovely staff good food and delicious ice cream and with being a dog friendly cafe inside and out it's a bonus keep up the good work girls your fab 😋

I have been here many times and it has always been good. I had a scone, oat milk latte, soup and a ham sandwich. My friend a latte and a ham sandwich. My dog had a vanilla ice cream. Our food and drink was excellant. Friendly staff, we'll definitely be back

No customer service a girl called Emily was very rude to my son while he was trying to show her which cake he wanted he is only 8 she was very inpatient.no please or thank you.and wevare local.very rude!

The ice cream was good. Staff, awful. The girls (blonde pony tail/ dark-red tint were worst staff for a seaside town. If they’d like their queue to go backwards, maybe arrange their shop differently! Not that it’s their shop, I’d guarantee it. Literally told how to queue because their ice cream stand is directly in front of their door so a queue forms in the doorway. It’s a YOU problem not your customers. You advertise 20 diff flavours… how do you expect anyone to know what they are without looking at them? There’s NO need for rudeness. Your staff ushered us out, nowhere to sit inside at 4pm? Because she had already cleaned up. When 2 of you decide to discuss how your queue should be directly in front of customers it’s slightly laughable. If you’re that miserable & unhappy in your jobs, I’m sure there are others willing to give it a go. Either way, no need for rudeness. Especially to paying customers. I’d avoid and go elsewhere. When the sun is out this place would dampen your mood.

The worst place to eat in Barmouth is the Beachside Cafe opposite the train station. The owner is an ex Hell's Angel and is threatening and abusive. The cafe is also NOT Food Safe.

Antonia's looks like a "typical" beach café but does offer better than average cake. We dropped in for afternoon tea/coffee and cake and had a nice time. The staff are friendly but efficient- all smiling. The cake was lovely (Victoria sponge and chocolate cake). I would definitely visit here again!!!

As a local I come here all the time with my family and little dog. Toasties and jackets are lovely. Super dog friendly, even gravy bones for your dog by the till free. We also had the chocolate cake with pouring cream. Divine. My daughter had rocky rd and lemon crush ice cream. Enjoyed by all. Very clean and airy. Staff are lovely. Got 3 lattes and a coffee and 4 cakes to takeaway charged £23.50 ,the lattes where ok but the coffee was like dish water cheap and nasty tasting cake where ok but nothing special

Stopped for coffee and a bite to eat but dogs everywhere inside, and could smell wet dog, so we never bothered eating, was served by young girl with tattoos on her arm, she was miserable and was not very friendly, another young girl brought the coffee's over and just plonked the tray down without even looking at either of us. Worse place in Barmouth.

Popped in for a coffee this morning with family, the girl with tattoos on her arms serviced us. We asked for one of the coffee to be stronger than the others. She replied “there all strong” and turned away. Her attitude was terrible, we watched while she continued to be rude to most of the customers, banging trays on tables. There was a young girl collecting dirty dishes who gave us a smile. But other than that nothing. They definitely need some training for Customer service. I won’t be going again 😩

Wife had a tuna/cheese toasty I had a prawn sandwich, made with thick bread and full of prawns. Worth a visit.

Not impressed with the customer service. One member of staff didn't roll icecream onto my cone properly. She was really half arsed and cold. Icecream ended up dropping on the floor outside the store. She was rude, cold & couldn't do her job properly.

We had lunch from here to takeaway. It can get quite busy so service can be slow but overall the food is nice and reasonably priced.

Popped in for takeaway latte girl couldn't be bothered had barista on her shirt but used milk from jug on side that had already been used god knows how long sat out and not fresh coffee either laughing in the back as the milk was just burning begrudedly paid then put straight in bin awful

This used to be our favoroite 'go to' cafe in Barmouth, however the last 3 times we have visited the quality has gone down hill. Our last visit on the 17th July was very disapointing. We ordered two sandwiches and two orange juice. The bread for the sandwiches boardered on being stale, had no butter and boardered on being tastless, it was to be fair well presented with salad included. The orange juice was overpriced in and extreamly small glass. We hope that this will improve as it is a well presented cafe, in a good location. Hopefully the quality will improve in the future.

This place is definitely open. Staff are friendly and the selection is great. Reason for low rating? The noisiest slushie maker I've ever heard. Rain prevents me taking my tea outside.

Lovely cafe, stopped for a drink and then saw the Bakewell tarts. They were delicious and they are also a dog friendly cafe with water and dog biscuits, which is really nice too. Will be returning, hopefully, for a day trip soon

Visited for ice-cream but clearly the young woman behind the counter doesn't realise that manners cost nothing. After serving 3 out of 5 of us she asked if there was anything else....... Yes... The girl that served us really put the ICE into my Ice Cream. There will be some old story why this person was having a hard time; but your serving ice cream to tourists, if you don’t like it leave.

Not upto their normal standards today. The toasted tea cakes came with enough butter to do half the tea cake. The jam which we had ordered and paid for didn’t come with it. The best coffee we had all holiday was served here, a lovely little place, seating inside and outside, dogs welcome, friendly service and value for money. We didn't eat but the food that was being served looked very tempting.

Great selection of ice cream and sorbets. Equally as good as the other ice emporium starting with 'K'. Friendly and polite staff. Good size ice cream portions 🐖 😉. Very dog friendly, brilliant coffee, great food menu, sweet cakes and excellent icecream selection. We had searched for an icecream placed that serves pistachio flavoured ice cream as it is my father's favourite, and we found this place.
