The food is the right price without service charges. Every Weatherspoons we have gone in provides a good meal not just whether the chef is having a good day or not. Cheap coffee and standard fare every time.

Standard Wetherspoons with the usual wide range of drinks and decent menu selection. Food was very good and the service was perfect.

We were on holiday so popped in for lunch. Although it was busy we found a table easily. Food and service were good .

Lovely breakfast at great prices, pay for one tea and get top ups as you want.

No star for my food flavourless crap

While visiting the area we decided to find a Wetherspoons for an evening meal. This one popped up so off we went. After parking up, we made our way in and immediately found the atmosphere to be loud, oppressive and even slightly threatening. It was pretty much packed with non eating people taking up much of the tables. It was so full, in fact, that I felt like it was unsafe for me and my family to stay.

One of my faves whetherspoons around, great beer garden gets the sun most of the day, nice friendly staff and great food as usual,you know what you get with these pubs, right outside the castle too. Cant beat it...

Usual 'spoons stuff but not the biggest of pubs

Usual spoons experience. Good service, friendly staff. Food was fine and reasonable pricing as usual. Beer was a total bargain and was wishing that all pubs did real ale at these bargain prices. 👍

Plenty of alcohol free choices available, and for any designated drivers, parking is free nearby after 6PM, though the car park can be busy with other events on some evenings.

What can you say it's a 'spoons'. Well run with friendly staff.

Passing through Caenarfon and The Tafarn Y Porth appeared like a coffee selling beacon of brightness in the Welsh gloom. It wasn't the brightest of days to be strolling around the town and we did urgently need a hot wet. The pub is a Wetherspoons and so we were reasonably confident that we'd get a brew and possibly a bite to eat for what amounted to pocket money. And do you know what? We did. The coffee was fairly standard half decent stuff and the wrap and chips was perfectly acceptable too. Nothing fancy, nothing too bland, just a nice bite to eat and a coffee for less than it cost us to get to the pub.

We popped in Tafarn Y Porth - JD Wetherspoon for a pint of San Miguel and definitely it was good decision. Perfectly cold lager in a spacious room and of course perfect service. We will come back here

Cheap food You get what you pay for

I am a fan of Wetherspoon and find it a safe choice in most places you go in the UK. The locations are central, the food is reasonable and you know what you're getting, etc. I was in the area and went twice to this Wetherspoon and found it odd. The food was great, some of the best I've had at any of their outlets. The staff was fine ... no issues. The real oddity was the clientele in this Wetherspoon. The evening I was there a young woman was ranging around the place making everyone uncomfortable. Whether it was drink or perhaps even drugs, I don't know. I felt sorry for the staff having to deal with such anti-social customers. The other night I went the football was on the big screen but everyone was so well behaved. Very mixed experience overall.

Affordable food very quick service, value for money

Turned up at 8am on a Sunday for breakfast and really enjoyed it. I was surprised how busy it was.

Absolutely value the money. Served locally beers as well as from other parts of the country. They serve the beer at very low prices. Staff was friendly. Perfect location with less atmosphere. But, hey! Cheap, cheerful and pretty tasty. Who’s not to love it.

App didn’t work and ended up accidentally ordering a pizza instead of a drink at the bar, which I thought was hilarious but the guy at the bar did not! It is what it is with Spoons. All good.

1st time at this Spoons and not disappointed ok found a table by luck as it was very busy ordered food which was ok, atmosphere electric Caernarfon are a very close Welsh community lots of families there everyone knew each other listening to the wonderful Welsh language been spoken, was amazed at the outdoor area didn't realise how big it was won't be long before I'm there again for an afternoon session, only downfall later on loads of mouthy young kids been sniffing beer mats

My issue and a low rate is because I witnessed a woman taking money from a vulnerable gentleman (on his own) and then come back for him to buy her a drink and food. Apparently she does this often to old men that are on their own targeting them for money and the staff say its "common knowledge" so they all know she does it and they don't stop her or report her! Be careful if your father/grandfather/uncle drinks here because they will get robbed and staff won't do anything!

Absolutely amazing. As Wetherspoons go, this is the tip tip top. Service was quick and polite. Drinks were cheap. The food appeared at our table as quickly as I could have hoped for. I don't believe it was even 10 minutes. I had the all day brunch which was perfectly cooked with fresh, soft bread and butter on the side. My Partner had a chicken wrap which was also well made with fresh ingredients. All in all we had to drinks, 2 main meals all for under 25 quid. Only at spoons. Thank you.

My pizza wasn't cooked,it was still doughy and had dirty bowl with my desert. I'm sure staff would have helped but was feeling sick to my stomach and could no longer stand to be there. Will not eat here again.

It's a spoons, we all know what we're getting with a spoons and it's why we go there :) I regularly visit this one when I have a night around Carmarthen, previous visit I had a lovely lunch, fish, chips, peas and a pint of Pepsi about 6 quid. Lovely breakfast this time refillable coffee about same price what more can you want :) Have to give them credit, food comes out plenty quick enough and hot, Well all know what spoons is about, reasonably priced food and drink so absolutely zero complaints from me at this one. Toilets were clean and tidy, table cleared promptly after finishing, no problems at all I'll be in next time I'm up :)

Great food had the steak with salad with peppercorn sauce had very well done as requested cooked as requested worth every penny for the meal staff so friendly

Just received our food order after a 30min wait. It was missing items. We're still waiting after our meal is over. When the staff was challenged we were told we were a lower priority. Weatherspoons 🙄

Just a shame management don't do anything about the local dead heads swearing and the school kids sat in the beer garden f,in and jeffin , tables all dirty would be a nice pub otherwise

Great tasting food and good service

A decent enough Spoons. The young lad serving us seemed to be having a slightly stressful day, but kept it very professional to his credit. Beer good, food good.

The breakfast was hot, tasty and nicely delivered to the table, I went there twice with my family ( all adults )worth another visit.

What's more to be said? Breakfast promptly served throughout the morning by an attentive and pleasant staff. The meal itself, whilst not quite top notch comes at a far lesser than top notch price and provided us with an extremely satisfying start to the day. Well up to JDW's normal standards.

Not very clean ,Disable toilet worse toilet we have ever been in ,and we couldn't use it ,as it was covered in excrement, and obviously had not been cleaned for some time .And the tables outside the toilet had not been cleaned for a long time .Left over food on all the tables, and discarded food under the tables. We will not be going back to this Witherspoon's. DISGUSTING and shocking, where families are expected to eat .And we have photos. Shocking really.

We visited over a long weekend and it was really busy. Staff were working non stop to keep up but still remained friendly. This place is popular with locals and visitors, it has the cheapest beer and food around. It is quite large and gets quite noisy so this might not suit everyone, but what you see is what you get. Food was surprisingly delicious and served promptly. Very comprehensive menu. Drinks at sensible prices with an excellent range of beers, a more limited range of wines. Spirits and cocktails also a specialty. We enjoyed our drinks and meal and wouldn’t hesitate to return

A good old standard Wetherspoons, elevated by a decent beer garden outside. Inside, exactly as you would expect at a Wetherspoons.

As weatherspoons go, simple food done really well. Large outdoor area. Definitely recommend to come here on a budget.

This Wetherspoon is very stuffy and old fashioned. With an unpleasant odour rising from the toilets downstairs. They do serve reasonably priced drinks and food. The last 2 times we have visited we have been served cold meals. The 1st time this was dealt with efficiently, the 2nd time it was not managed well at all. We were told they were “not able to heat this dish past a certain temperature” I had ordered a wrap, normally served piping hot. They redid my meal, it was served tepid at best. I refused the meal.

Very nice weatherspoons in north Wales. We had food and drinks here whilst climbing snowdon

Disgusting hamburger, steak as hard as rock and garnish lousy 1 slice of extra fine tomato 2 pieces of onion strips in short lousy not even a sauce in the bread. Average fries and very noisy room. I do not recommend at all. Too expensive.

What can you say about this . ALL . J.D. are value for money. Comfortable and relaxing morning coffee 50 percent full at 10 am. Plenty of the older generation drinking tea and coffee with a few of the men on the beer. Great service with friendly staff.

Rude staff who don't seem to value or want their customers there. Tables not cleaned or wiped down properly. Empty plates piled up on tables not moved. I was there and went out for a cigarette. A rude, aggressive and unpleasant male customer was smoking weed and being verbally abusive and offensive. Told staff. They did nothing. Part of the responsibility of an owner/general manager is to protect every female customer and every female member of staff. By doing nothing, they are allowing such behaviour to continue and weakening their own reputation. Hideous.

Average, got given the wrong drink twice not sure how that happens. Definitely a pub for locals, everyone seemed to know everyone. Absolutely packed at 1pm on a Friday. Food was ok, pity so much was sold out though so choice was limited.

Very welcoming for 8 lads from Essex following our climb up snowdon. Will definitely be visiting again!

Great quality food, service and a fantastic atmosphere with lots of seating. Steak meal with drink was excellent value - highly recommended.

Food was good although curry sauce was cold, staff polite but not friendly unless ur a local. We must have sat in someones seat as soon as we sat down a couple came and sat on next table banged chairs onto our table and gave us dirty looks, we did same back and promptly moved as they looked like they should be in a pig stye not a pub. We moved near the disabled loo which aprared not to be as decided by the pissed up locals who couldn't be bothered to use the correct Toilets. Rowdy locals cheering and swearing at the top of there voices, not the usual higher standard of a wetherspoons.

Typical Wetherspoons which isn't a bad thing, you know exactly what you're getting although sadly the prices (as with everything) are creeping up and the portion sizes are creeping down so the value is diminishing. This one is just a few hundred meters from the beautiful Caernarfon castle and is a rarity for Wetherspoons because the toilets are downstairs not up!

Just found this weatherspoons to be not as welcoming to visitors.a few times things were missing from our order,like butter to spread our toast with our breakfast order. Also, on valentines evening, the place had a very, very drunk ,very loud group of males and females,but the management did nothing.i think I would recommend going elsewhere.

Awesome place to get food and drink great friendly happy staff, especially that Amy, i love going here every week and getting a coffee, cos they have the best coffees ever, the beer garden is massive too and a lovely outdoor space in all weathers cos it has shelters over all seating, its always clean and tidy and there's always a friendly atmosphere, did i mention the good is great value to ? , . ,. ,. . We had a limited time before we had to go back to work. Had to find a place near the hotel, grab some lunch, then back to the hotel to jump in the car and go. Thank goodness for Spoons! After a short walk, we were at a table and on the Wetherspoon's app. After only about three minutes, the food arrived and shortly after, the drinks. We had a leisurely half an hour to have lunch and wander back to the car. Thanks, JDW!

Three of us called in last night we were on table 58 ,ordered a large mixed grill a gourmet steak and a chicken burger and drinks ,we didn't wait long the food was well cooked hot and very tasty, pub was very clean and staff were very polite and professional *****

Well we love it , what you see is what u get , as a whiskey drinker I love the malt whiskey 🥃 specials , excellent VFM. On a late January sunny brisk midday we popped in for a breakie and hot drinks warm up. This wethers ticks all the boxes and the toilets are pristine, right next to the castle winner winner all day long. 👏👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍👏
