A good old standard Wetherspoons, elevated by a decent beer garden outside. Inside, exactly as you would expect at a Wetherspoons.

As weatherspoons go, simple food done really well. Large outdoor area. Definitely recommend to come here on a budget.

This Wetherspoon is very stuffy and old fashioned. With an unpleasant odour rising from the toilets downstairs. They do serve reasonably priced drinks and food. The last 2 times we have visited we have been served cold meals. The 1st time this was dealt with efficiently, the 2nd time it was not managed well at all. We were told they were “not able to heat this dish past a certain temperature” I had ordered a wrap, normally served piping hot. They redid my meal, it was served tepid at best. I refused the meal.

Very nice weatherspoons in north Wales. We had food and drinks here whilst climbing snowdon

Disgusting hamburger, steak as hard as rock and garnish lousy 1 slice of extra fine tomato 2 pieces of onion strips in short lousy not even a sauce in the bread. Average fries and very noisy room. I do not recommend at all. Too expensive.

What can you say about this . ALL . J.D. are value for money. Comfortable and relaxing morning coffee 50 percent full at 10 am. Plenty of the older generation drinking tea and coffee with a few of the men on the beer. Great service with friendly staff.

A packed Good Friday did not deter staff from being friendly and helpful. Big selection of beer and great pizza would even say it was wood fired.

Another great building with lots of outdoor space right on the platforms for railway station. Good range of local beers.

Average, got given the wrong drink twice not sure how that happens. Definitely a pub for locals, everyone seemed to know everyone. Absolutely packed at 1pm on a Friday. Food was ok, pity so much was sold out though so choice was limited.

Very welcoming for 8 lads from Essex following our climb up snowdon. Will definitely be visiting again!

Great quality food, service and a fantastic atmosphere with lots of seating. Steak meal with drink was excellent value - highly recommended.

Typical Wetherspoons which isn't a bad thing, you know exactly what you're getting although sadly the prices (as with everything) are creeping up and the portion sizes are creeping down so the value is diminishing. This one is just a few hundred meters from the beautiful Caernarfon castle and is a rarity for Wetherspoons because the toilets are downstairs not up!

Food was good although curry sauce was cold, staff polite but not friendly unless ur a local. We must have sat in someones seat as soon as we sat down a couple came and sat on next table banged chairs onto our table and gave us dirty looks, we did same back and promptly moved as they looked like they should be in a pig stye not a pub. We moved near the disabled loo which aprared not to be as decided by the pissed up locals who couldn't be bothered to use the correct Toilets. Rowdy locals cheering and swearing at the top of there voices, not the usual higher standard of a wetherspoons.

Just found this weatherspoons to be not as welcoming to visitors.a few times things were missing from our order,like butter to spread our toast with our breakfast order. Also, on valentines evening, the place had a very, very drunk ,very loud group of males and females,but the management did nothing.i think I would recommend going elsewhere.

Awesome place to get food and drink great friendly happy staff, especially that Amy, i love going here every week and getting a coffee, cos they have the best coffees ever, the beer garden is massive too and a lovely outdoor space in all weathers cos it has shelters over all seating, its always clean and tidy and there's always a friendly atmosphere, did i mention the good is great value to ? , . ,. ,. . We had a limited time before we had to go back to work. Had to find a place near the hotel, grab some lunch, then back to the hotel to jump in the car and go. Thank goodness for Spoons! After a short walk, we were at a table and on the Wetherspoon's app. After only about three minutes, the food arrived and shortly after, the drinks. We had a leisurely half an hour to have lunch and wander back to the car. Thanks, JDW!

Three of us called in last night we were on table 58 ,ordered a large mixed grill a gourmet steak and a chicken burger and drinks ,we didn't wait long the food was well cooked hot and very tasty, pub was very clean and staff were very polite and professional *****

Well we love it , what you see is what u get , as a whiskey drinker I love the malt whiskey 🥃 specials , excellent VFM. On a late January sunny brisk midday we popped in for a breakie and hot drinks warm up. This wethers ticks all the boxes and the toilets are pristine, right next to the castle winner winner all day long. 👏👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍👏

Working here in Gwynedd for over a year now I am a regular at Tafarn y porth and would not go elsewhere, the atmosphere is welcoming and professional. As a Shropshire non welsh speaking customer trying to learn, I can only say diolch yn fawr 5/5 for this Wetherspoons

A good place for cheap drinks and many choices of spirits or any drink of choice the toilets are also very clean one of the best I’ve come across

Good location in town, easy to find, a good size place, staff were happy and friendly, food was nice, and the place was nice and clean. I would go again.

The staff were really lovely and the food was delicious.

Ordered a chicken basket with the soy sauce and chips. Came out without the chips and the wrong sauce. Waitress tried to say the manager said the sauce had been ordered as coleslaw. Clearly hadn't. Chips and correct sauce came 5 min later after the chicken had been sitting on the table getting cold. The Beyond Burger that was ordered wasn't right either but couldn't be bothered complaining at this point. Given that it's a tenner now for most things it should be better. Felt slightly sorry, for about half a second, for the miserable waitress that served us. It vanished after she tried to argue with us though. The BBQ panini had half the bread missing and no BBQ sauce. Ignored at the bar for 5 minutes as well. Don't give up the day job guys. It's your day job? Awkward. On a positive note though, the guy who cleared our table smiled and thanked us for stacking the plates. 1 star for him alone 0 stars for the rest.

Its a great venue for meeting friends and with the cost of living going sky-high a great place for down to earth prices.

The beer garden of this pub was beautiful, however we arrived at 9pm so the tables were a bit messy but I can imagine the staff were busy. Our table was cleared of old glasses as soon as we sat down. The food was brilliant on the evening, and we went back the next morning for breakfast - it was the best spoons breakfast I’ve ever had!! thanks guys :)

3 adults, 3 older children visited for a meal. The table was cleaned as we arrived and staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delivered swiftly and all tasted lovely and hot. No car park, but we found on street parking close by. We didn't sit outside, but the rear outdoor seating area looked fab. Between this and the spoons in Banger, we would definitely return here!

Popped in for food on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t overly busy but to me the layout looked very muddled in terms of how the tables were set out. Anyway food and drinks ordered at the bar - food was ok but no great shakes....

The tables were sticky and covered in drinks, so I kindly asked the bar manager (didn’t get his name) glasses, mid 50’s if I could clean the table to which he replied ‘I’ve already told your friend there’s tissues over there’ and as I left,...

Food as standard and came out quick. A final drink however took 27 minutes to arrive despite having spoke to one lad about the delay 10 minutes prior.

Again, never enough staff. Those there were busy, but tills played up for card users and i was using cash. Barman said cash was ok “but im not serving”. What a farce. And no fruit for gins. What kind of pub runs out of lemons?...

Have to leave an excellent review for the food and service provided by the staff today. We visit Wetherspoons quiet often, but today its was very busy with various local activities taking place. We made online orders for food and drink, and although extremely busy, our order arrived within minutes - food of good quality & hot, drinks served almost immediately. Faultless service from staff (and check to see that we were happy). Well done to all on shift (between 3-7pm Sat 30/9) 👍 👏. Thank you x

Not Dog friendly We used to regularly enjoy a meal and beer there, but now they have banned dogs we now give our custom to one of the other dog friendly pubs in Caernarfon

We went to Wetherspoons Carnarfon on Saturday.We ordered our food and waited patiently . Food arrived and we were missing some items. We mentioned the others items and the waitress just exploded at us saying that’s all we had ordered. We had the itemised bill and tried to explain when she implied we were liars and began shouting at us. We were totally stunned that we never even responded. She just then stomped off. It was awful. We spoke to the manager after as the missing items never arrived amd we had now finished our food. The manager was not interested in the fact we had paid for food items that we never had or the fact the waitress was very rude. We did eventually get a refund for the missing food we didn’t get. Not recommended . I appreciate hospitality is still trying to recover from pandemic. But seriously there was not even a hint of customer service in that place. A simple apology would have sufficed.

Not the best Wetherspoons ever been in.

I visit Tafarn y Borth on a regular basis, where the atmosphere is congenial, where the staff, in the past, were welcoming and friendly. Especially in the mornings, when I attend, the venue, but recently there has been a reduction of the staff that are on duty during the morning shift, therefore service, to the customers is very slow, and some of the staff, have other things on their minds, rather than serving the customers.

Not bad pub, but I was happy about my food. I had hope for American size Burger but got a baby 🍔 Burger 🍔

Only went in for the breakfast but well worth it!

All day brunch, bacon was burnt, chips were under cooked. Panini had no cheese and tasted like a sweaty flip flop.
