Usual spoons standard, value for money and healthy options with a good selection of alcohol free beers, drinks left on the bar for a while after ordering but to be fair they were very busy.

Lively place . Nice food . Really quick service. Plenty of seating.

Excellent beer garden plus a lift to access it.

I had the katsu chicken and unfortunately , most of the chicken was very dry and hard, the guy that served us did ask us how the meal was but before I could tell him he had gone.

Good food good prices, fairly quiet for a wetherspoons. Not many reasonably priced places in caernarfon so this one is spot on.

Dirty. Tables not wiped down. Food left on the floor. I wouldn't mind paying £12 for a meal and a drink if the table I was sitting at was clean, I didn't have to ask for clean cutlery and if staff actually acknowledged customers rather than just slamming hot plates of food down in front of them when they can clearly see a baby in a highchair and hold hot plates over the head of a small child. Potential lawsuit there. Also I was sick after eating there. Avoid the place like the plague.

Nice pub / restaurant in a central location. Usual Wetherspoons great quality and comprehensive menu. Toilets clean and plenty of staff that were pleasant. I used the app to order which took longer than normal to deliver the orders. WiFi connection and app functionality here was good. Overall, not a bad experience, but not the best either.

Caernarfon staff are busy and polite.Excellent team effort when busy and managers lead by example .Two weeks over from AUSTRALIA..cant fault their effort and great prices.Meals are fine just enpugh great value.Definately visit again.Been to a few bu a stand out for quick service.Please pass on regards to this local team.Wish we has Wetherspoons down under it would change the landscape in the big expensive pubs we have

Completely forgotten about when we ordered chips 😔

No signs saying no dogs, on front or back entrance. Family of 4 with kids sat looking through menus in beer garden. Was asked to leave, not bothering anyone.

Come here often and usually a great food service. However, on this occasion, I ordered the Ramen Bowl, and it arrived lukewarm, I sent it back once and was assured that it would be prepared fresh. It arrived back at the table, exactly the same dish and lukewarm again. I'm not sure what happened, but they were extremely busy, so I had to send it back again. The third time that it arrived, it was piping hot, and I received a free drink as a way of an apology. Great customer service, and I will certainly visit again. Can't fault it. I will never judge a company on whether something goes wrong but on how they deal with it when it does. First class service Tafarn Y Porth.

It's a weather spoons!! So you know what you get. It was rammed when me and my sister went in. We had done Snowdon that day and needed a place to get food and a drink Food areived fast and was good and the prices weren't bad

people that goes out to the garden for a smoke kept leaving the door open so we were up more than we sat shutting it so we move on somewhere else

It was very busy and very noisy. It is the first time I have received my food before the drinks. The explanation was so many people ordering on the app. Really frustrating when you people were getting drinks faster who.had just come in. That needs sorting not making excuses for it, by essentially blaming the customers. Just change the distribution of your staff. Food was as expected and delivered in a reasonable time scale. Basically just a typical wetherspoons

Very clean and attractive Wetherspoon. Although our drinks and meals arrived within 10 minutes. My beef Madras was good but my wife's steak was quite gristly so she left half of it. All in all excellent value and would visit again but my wife would choose a non steak option although they do have a gourmet steak option on the menu to be fair.

Quick service friendly staff and table cleared after we finish our food . Food was hot and taste . Nice and warm , and As half the people on our coach ..was there it was the place to go on a cold day

Rude staff! They are more interested talking to each other rather than serving customers stood at the bar right In front of them. Unless you are a local not welcoming. No dogs allowed inside or garden.

Its a wetherspoons all that you can expect

Superb pub , excellent bilingual staff , good food for the price , plenty of room , a bit noisy at the table near the front door , every pub has a rough patch 😆 ,

If I could give less stars I would, rude staff , refusing a welsh speaker as he was unclear speaking English.....in a welsh speaking town I would assume they would have staff that understood the bilingual people but unfortunately not . Assuming someone is incoherent in their non mother toung is offensive. English is not the language spoken here . Being offended at this is a response due to the misunderstanding, not being racist as the bar manager suggested. It's disgusting that the staff treat locals in such a manor . Written in sais/english so all can understand . ...not nice to be treated with such rudeness. Unfortunately I don't think the fellow behind the bar understood his management's mistake. We speak welsh not English as a first language. If we talk slowly it's not due to alcohol ....its not our first language. Absolutely rude . Insulting and degrading.

Very good service. Food good . Good price on drinks. But very cold , everyone had coat on and some with hats. Made food go cold fast.

As spoons go, one of the better I've visited

Typical Wetherspoons. Food was ok, could have included a sauce for the steak, curry wasn't anything to write home about. Would have preferred the steak to be cooked slightly more. Staff were pleasant, can't fault them. 85% of people Welsh as a first language in the area. Diolch is thank you. Prices are what's most attractive about the place to be fair. Would come again but when meals are on offer. Stella tasted odd, kind of chemically? Lemonade tasted cheap. Ok for the price though of course.

Great service lovely and clean unlike some 'spoons' and a nice breakfast too

Staff were very ignorant, practically threw our kids desserts on the table, didn't ask who's was who's. More interested in serving people they know and leaving other customers waiting at the bar. Staff meeting and lessons in hospitality very badly needed.

If you don't speak Welsh prepare to be ignored at the bar. If this is the attitude towards outsiders then it's no wonder the town centre is dying with empty properties all over. I am so disappointed.

Lively little pub good atmosphere

Curry night food always nice there

The food is the right price without service charges. Every Weatherspoons we have gone in provides a good meal not just whether the chef is having a good day or not. Cheap coffee and standard fare every time.

Standard Wetherspoons with the usual wide range of drinks and decent menu selection. Food was very good and the service was perfect.

We were on holiday so popped in for lunch. Although it was busy we found a table easily. Food and service were good .

Lovely breakfast at great prices, pay for one tea and get top ups as you want.

Good spoons with friendly staff!

While visiting the area we decided to find a Wetherspoons for an evening meal. This one popped up so off we went. After parking up, we made our way in and immediately found the atmosphere to be loud, oppressive and even slightly threatening. It was pretty much packed with non eating people taking up much of the tables. It was so full, in fact, that I felt like it was unsafe for me and my family to stay.

In the centre of Caernarfon as staying a few nights we found this as usual very good value Wetherspoons pub. We ordered off the app after finding a table so saving queuing at the bar. Katsu chicken with rice and an alcoholic drink was £10. 84 making it very reasonably priced and was delicious and plentiful.

So so.....cheap beer but that's not what it's all about.....

Absolutely value the money. Served locally beers as well as from other parts of the country. They serve the beer at very low prices. Staff was friendly. Perfect location with less atmosphere. But, hey! Cheap, cheerful and pretty tasty. Who’s not to love it.

Usual 'spoons stuff but not the biggest of pubs

Usual spoons experience. Good service, friendly staff. Food was fine and reasonable pricing as usual. Beer was a total bargain and was wishing that all pubs did real ale at these bargain prices. 👍

Plenty of alcohol free choices available, and for any designated drivers, parking is free nearby after 6PM, though the car park can be busy with other events on some evenings.

What can you say it's a 'spoons'. Well run with friendly staff.

Passing through Caenarfon and The Tafarn Y Porth appeared like a coffee selling beacon of brightness in the Welsh gloom. It wasn't the brightest of days to be strolling around the town and we did urgently need a hot wet. The pub is a Wetherspoons and so we were reasonably confident that we'd get a brew and possibly a bite to eat for what amounted to pocket money. And do you know what? We did. The coffee was fairly standard half decent stuff and the wrap and chips was perfectly acceptable too. Nothing fancy, nothing too bland, just a nice bite to eat and a coffee for less than it cost us to get to the pub.

We popped in Tafarn Y Porth - JD Wetherspoon for a pint of San Miguel and definitely it was good decision. Perfectly cold lager in a spacious room and of course perfect service. We will come back here

Cheap food You get what you pay for

I am a fan of Wetherspoon and find it a safe choice in most places you go in the UK. The locations are central, the food is reasonable and you know what you're getting, etc. I was in the area and went twice to this Wetherspoon and found it odd. The food was great, some of the best I've had at any of their outlets. The staff was fine ... no issues. The real oddity was the clientele in this Wetherspoon. The evening I was there a young woman was ranging around the place making everyone uncomfortable. Whether it was drink or perhaps even drugs, I don't know. I felt sorry for the staff having to deal with such anti-social customers. The other night I went the football was on the big screen but everyone was so well behaved. Very mixed experience overall.

App didn’t work and ended up accidentally ordering a pizza instead of a drink at the bar, which I thought was hilarious but the guy at the bar did not! It is what it is with Spoons. All good.

1st time at this Spoons and not disappointed ok found a table by luck as it was very busy ordered food which was ok, atmosphere electric Caernarfon are a very close Welsh community lots of families there everyone knew each other listening to the wonderful Welsh language been spoken, was amazed at the outdoor area didn't realise how big it was won't be long before I'm there again for an afternoon session, only downfall later on loads of mouthy young kids been sniffing beer mats

My issue and a low rate is because I witnessed a woman taking money from a vulnerable gentleman (on his own) and then come back for him to buy her a drink and food. Apparently she does this often to old men that are on their own targeting them for money and the staff say its "common knowledge" so they all know she does it and they don't stop her or report her! Be careful if your father/grandfather/uncle drinks here because they will get robbed and staff won't do anything!

Absolutely amazing. As Wetherspoons go, this is the tip tip top. Service was quick and polite. Drinks were cheap. The food appeared at our table as quickly as I could have hoped for. I don't believe it was even 10 minutes. I had the all day brunch which was perfectly cooked with fresh, soft bread and butter on the side. My Partner had a chicken wrap which was also well made with fresh ingredients. All in all we had to drinks, 2 main meals all for under 25 quid. Only at spoons. Thank you.

My pizza wasn't cooked,it was still doughy and had dirty bowl with my desert. I'm sure staff would have helped but was feeling sick to my stomach and could no longer stand to be there. Will not eat here again.

It's a spoons, we all know what we're getting with a spoons and it's why we go there :) I regularly visit this one when I have a night around Carmarthen, previous visit I had a lovely lunch, fish, chips, peas and a pint of Pepsi about 6 quid. Lovely breakfast this time refillable coffee about same price what more can you want :) Have to give them credit, food comes out plenty quick enough and hot, Well all know what spoons is about, reasonably priced food and drink so absolutely zero complaints from me at this one. Toilets were clean and tidy, table cleared promptly after finishing, no problems at all I'll be in next time I'm up :)

Great food had the steak with salad with peppercorn sauce had very well done as requested cooked as requested worth every penny for the meal staff so friendly

Just received our food order after a 30min wait. It was missing items. We're still waiting after our meal is over. When the staff was challenged we were told we were a lower priority. Weatherspoons 🙄

Great tasting food and good service

Just a shame management don't do anything about the local dead heads swearing and the school kids sat in the beer garden f,in and jeffin , tables all dirty would be a nice pub otherwise

A decent enough Spoons. The young lad serving us seemed to be having a slightly stressful day, but kept it very professional to his credit. Beer good, food good.

The breakfast was hot, tasty and nicely delivered to the table, I went there twice with my family ( all adults )worth another visit.

What's more to be said? Breakfast promptly served throughout the morning by an attentive and pleasant staff. The meal itself, whilst not quite top notch comes at a far lesser than top notch price and provided us with an extremely satisfying start to the day. Well up to JDW's normal standards.

First time here and it was lovely there's a big outdoor space with seating

Not very clean ,Disable toilet worse toilet we have ever been in ,and we couldn't use it ,as it was covered in excrement, and obviously had not been cleaned for some time .And the tables outside the toilet had not been cleaned for a long time .Left over food on all the tables, and discarded food under the tables. We will not be going back to this Witherspoon's. DISGUSTING and shocking, where families are expected to eat .And we have photos. Shocking really.
