Love this authentic pub and the nostalgic photos on the walls.Often pop in for a drink but today had Sunday lunch and it was supe! Choice of three meats and four desserts. The meal was excellent with plenty of vegetables and top up gravy. My dessert of bread and butter pudding was superb.Lastly friendly prompt service and two two course meals plus four drinks came to£38.We will be back

Our first visit back here after Covid and we were so relieved that The Queens is still the same great traditional British pub. A dying breed with the growth of the boring chain pubs The drinks are reasonably priced . Great location and atmosphere. The food is fantastic reasonably priced , home cooked , a fair portion, served hot and with a varied menu . We recommend the chicken curry and the roast pork meal! If you want a sanitised , standardised expensive bar The Queen’s is not the place to go, but if you want good quality ale , value for money and the experience of a real pub , the Queen’s is the place to visit. We’ll be back👏👏

Visited the Queens Hotel for Sunday lunch recently & we weren't disappointed. I was accompanied by my daughter & young granddaughter. We were made to feel welcome straight away by Colin the waiter. The service was excellent & we didn't have to wait long for our meal. It was delicious a proper old-fashioned Sunday roast with vegetables served separately & extra gravy on the side. The desserts were also delicious & the meal was reasonably priced. Donna the chef came to our table to make sure everything was satisfactory with our meal. I was amazed she had the time to ask us as it was very busy. A very nice gesture from a very pleasant lady. My young granddaughter was made to feel welcome & had a little treat after her meal courtesy of the chef. My family & I will definitely be returning.

Depending on taste this is either a fantastic pub or awful. The premises reminded me of the Rovers Return circa 1960. I hadn’t been anywhere like it in the last 40 years. The atmosphere was good and it was friendly, but the decor is a blast from the past, right down to the Christmas decorations hanging from the ceiling.

During my visit on Saturday 6th of July, at the end of the night I went to the toilet before leaving and fell and hit my head. As I’d cut my head I couldn’t leave straight away, a female member of staff who I unfortunately do not know the name of came to help me and stayed with me throughout for over an hour even though the venue had closed. She did not make any fuss at all. I’m extremely grateful for the treatment I received and they went above and beyond to walk me up to St John’s ambulance just off Wind St. I’d like to thank both members of staff who helped me that evening and I highly recommend the venue as before the incident I had a really good evening!

The Queens is a local traditional pub with fabulous home cooked food with the most amazing prices you will ever see. I had a steak and ale pie dinner which included potatoes, cabbage, peas, carrots and swede all for £5.25 it was absolutely delicious. I love the photographs around the walls the place has lots of history and is very interesting. What is nice about the place is there are a few sheltered housing complexes around the vicinity and the staff will prepare and deliver meals to some of the old folk. A group of us agreed to meet at the Queens pending eating out. I admit that I was surprised the Queens was suggested when I arrived. The inside looks tired and the staff seemed to enjoy talking to regulars whilst other customers waited for service. However, service was with a smile and the beer was excellent. I enjoy real ale and the beers on offer were a surprise and very well kept. If I fancied another night out to enjoy good beer with friends I would give the Queens another visit. There is an good, old fashioned atmosphere about the Queens but I think it could do with a deep clean. The tables could do with wiping more regularly especially round the edges. Firstly , I`m not one to complain , I`d rather just not go back but this is still on my mind from when we went last on Sunday 27th November . We go to the Queens about once a month on a Sunday for Sunday lunch and it`s fantastic. with Tina and the other friendly staff always smiling and very helpful. On the above date , my family had already gone in whilst I finished my cigarette outside . On entering I went straight to the bar to get a drink . There was a young girl serving and a youngish chap ( not the usual friendly guy or older women ). Now there was only a handful of customers at the bar . The guy seen me waiting as he half hartedly looked over whilst ( I kid you not ) continued to have a long winded chat for literally 5 mins ( yes 5 ) with some customer at the bar , laughing and joking. Now to the young girl - Again she clearly seen me waiting to be served as I looked into the bar with my money out and there was some woman before me . ( the only other person waiting to be served.) She served the other woman first and rightly so. She looked straight at me as I was the only other person waiting by this time . As she was getting said lady her drink , an older gentleman came to the bar next to me . I kid you not she then went straight to the guy and said " usual is it ". I said can I have a pint please when your ready to which she continued to serve this gentleman before serving me and not even saying a please , sorry or thank you . Terrible rude the two staff who I`d not like to get served by again in there - I`n fact disgusting !

What really surprised me was there was nothing on the menu costing more than £4.90. I would have paid more. The place was clean and tidy. On a rainy day in August we abandoned plans for a walk on Swansea Bay's miles long promenade, and popped in to the Queens after a lunch at the nearby Morgans Hotel - another part of historic Swansea. The Queens has always been one of my favourite Swansea pubs; atmospheric, busy, friendly, with good beer and a maritime theme which just goes naturally with the setting. Thank heavens that among all the plastic places there is one traditional docklands pub left. Long may it remain.

Service is good and quick as usual, food is well presented and hot, always the same. Had the gammon, egg & chips plate which is good value. Can't really think of any improvements required here in a popular establishment.

Popped in for an impromptu Monday visit after a long day at work. Staff were very friendly, the portions generous, well priced, and most importantly, tasty! Conversation in the car turned to "this pub is one I'd move house to be closer to" (about an hours walk currently). 100% is worth a visit if you're in the area.
