Eli Jenkins is a great place to have a drink. The staff need a special mention for the great service and especially Jack.

Great atmosphere, came in for a couple pints, ended up chatting with bar staff and felt like I had been mates with them for years. Would 100% recommend

Recently came in with my partner the other day and order some drinks with two lots of meals. Food was absolutely fantatsic! And the service provided a great laugh overall it is a very friendly pub and would definitely to recommend to all my friends.

Great place for lunch with friends, Xmas shopping. Lovely place. the food was tasty, and a pint of beer enjoyed 😉

Absolutely disgusting 😩four of us visited here whilst on a shopping trip.we ordered four meals (2 burger meals a scampi and a steak and ale pie)at the bar and 2 jugs of cocktails.the cocktails resembled a jug of squash or no ice no garnish at all. We were told the ice would follow but We had to go to the bar and ask for it! 2 of the 4 meals came out ( the scampi and pie) and were ok. The other two meals failed to arrive. 10 mins later ( the 2 meals that had arrived had been eaten) we inquired at the bar where the staff were less than helpful. They then came and said that they had sold out of pies..we explained that we weren't missing pies but 2 burger meals.another 20 mins later 2 burnt to the crisp meals were brought to the table the lady that brought the meals did say" sorry for the wait" but that was it.when we complained at the bar the staff were plain ignorant! Totally ignored my husband.. a couldn't care less attitude by every one of them! Will never go here again

Even though the pub was busy the service was quick and courteous.

Very pleasant place to stop off for a pint & a meal. Didn't personally try the food due to lack of time this trip but what I saw coming out looked good. Menu prices very reasonable. Friendly & prompt service. We will definitely be going back when in Swansea.

Had a pint in here during a mini pub crawl. All I remember is it was ok all round.

I had a lovely breakfast there. The staff was amazing very friendly especially a lady called jayne. They cattered for our every needs I would deffinatly recomend. The food was lovely and we will deffinatly go back again

I was in Eli's with my friends having a drink and some food. Food was lovely and rhe experience was great. Got mention my lovely friend Chloe. She is always happy and laughing and will always cheer you up when you're down. One of the best girls I know. Great atmosphere. Always smiling and happy experience every time xx

long time regular of Eli Jenkins....know the managers very well, can only applaud how well they do their jobs. food is always incredible, im still waiting to get around to ordering the fish and chips! The regulars that attend here are good people with hearts of gold, just what youd expect from a traditional pub, only place i would ever go for food and a drink

I am shocked at how downhill this pub has gone, stay well clear. Ignored at the bar where customers were getting involved saying " that lady was next" whilst they carried out plying their regulars with drink, one woman had urinated over the floor and herself wasn't cleaned up a member of staff put her outside as she couldn't stand or walk. Food was disgusting my curry sauce was stuck inside the jug congealed twice the other order came out wrong before enough was enough and I had my money back. Pub was rough full of loud drunks the manager was useless, will never ever set foot in there again.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! Was thrown out at 6pm because I was with my 13 (nearly 14) year old son! BTW my son is mixed raced so, despite being in there many times before with my children, maybe, the barmaid who evicted myself, my son and, my disabled mother was racist? My poor mother had to try and walk to The Potters Wheel, which allows children to at least 9pm, which caused her immense pain and discomfort! There was just a handful of people in there and my son was sitting quietly not doing any harm to anybody! I was planning to spend a considerable amount of money in there but now, I wouldn't step foot in that place for a million quid!

Great place…. Fish & Chips was nice too! 2nd review… once again lovely meal and atmosphere… in respect to other reviews… you cannot control who walks into a venue… but whenever we have been there it’s been great… maybe the haters and moaners need to go elsewhere! Hats off to you girls … you do a fantastic job xx

Went there for breakfast and it was nice. Has the feel of a local pub.

Conveniently situated in the centre of Swansea this bar consistently serves decent ales (from my own experience) and more than adequate food (I rely on others for this). In any case it is well worth stopping off at for a break from shopping (or any similar excuse of your choice).

Spent Monday lunchtime there. Nice atmosphere, decent service and reasonable prices.

Food, cold, low quality, not for me. First and last time.

Hygiene is terrible, the toilets need to be cleaned properly and making sure the doors are secure, great atmosphere and service is great.

Called in with my girlfriend first impressions absolutely cracking little pub lovely atmosphere served by a lovely lady jayne very knowledgeable so many products to choose from, house wine was fantastic thank you for the recommendation jayne ended up having 2 bottles great prices place was clean loved it

Had a great time here for my nans birthday there was 11 of us all had food and drinks it was lovely prices are great pub was clean and busy which is lovely to see as not many places are busy anymore exceptional service from jayne very pleasant and professional handled all of us brillaintly 10/10 to her she was fantastic will be back again soon hope she serves us again nan loved her thank you

Me and my family came in for lunch.its a lovely little place. They provided a highchair for my grandson the staff there was very friendly.the food was lovely aswell I would deffinatly recomend to go for food and drinks

Food was great, however overhearing how the manager speaks to the staff was very disappointing. He is rude and disrespectful to the staff who are just trying their best. The glasses we were served our drinks in were barely passable as clean. Will not be a returning customer.

Not often I get to go out for food but I've not been able to fault it yet always have the mixed grill and it's amazing everytime so far the steak is always cooked perfectly to your liking of asking the staff are great with excellent service! Still the same amazing food spare hour filled job done exceptionally.

Worst place ever. Honestly, me and my friend gone into have a meal and a few drinks. We both had a burger and it was burnt. The chips was cold, it wasn't pleasant to look at even to eat a bit of it. This one staff members her name is Crystal, bless her she was all alone on the bar and floor. She did her hardest to do everything by herself definitely as it was busy in there as well. None of this was her fault, it's the management in that place is awful. Finally a manager came down to help her. He is a big bold guy wearing a checked shirt but he didn't do anything to help, he just made it worse. He can't even do a pint right, I had more head on my pint of carling then the actual carling. Plus, I seen him pouring other customers pints and the head on each pints was getting bigger. I've over hear him snapping at Crystal while she was pouring a pint say "that's a wrong way to pour a pint" even the many pints of carling I had off her was all perfect even the rest of the customers pints look better when she was pouring them than his. I also over heard him being sexist to her just because she a woman. I asked Crystal what was his name. His name is Mark. That Mark shouldn't be working there definitely on the way he treated Crystal. He mostly likely treated the other staff members the same way. When I was speaking to the other customers, they all said that Eli Jenkins got a fast trun over with staff members. No wonder why, definitely with Mark being a management there. I think if they got rid of Mark, Eli Jenkins would be a better place as I noticed Crystal looked so uncomfortable when Mark was so called helping her out even he did nothing.

Love this pub, saves me having to do the Primark shop.

I have visited a couple of times and all of the bar staff are great however the manager (a portly bald man) is patronising and rude to customers and staff alike. On my last visit he ignored me at the bar and whistled and shouted for the barmaid like a dog. Other pubs in Swansea are cheaper, livelier and have a better atmosphere, it’s no wonder this pub remains empty on evenings when every pub nearby is busy.

Horrible place would not recommend all waiters are rude and it was just a waste of money. Do not go to this place unless you want to have a bad time!!

Proper locals pubs, always come here when I in town. Little dark inside but the food makes you for it

14 people with dementia and thier carers went in for food this morning 30/4/24 and was told they not taking any orders , but was still serving , we went to a local cafe where they had our custom they lost out in eli Jenkins on over £250 in food orders

Had mixed grill is was bad.. asked for medium rare came rare.. food was cold .

Menu seems very basic if your not a lover of burgers then there isn't a while lot else to choose from. I had the 8oz steak cooked to perfection....loved it.. could have done without the usual motley crue sitting next to the bar shouting over each other. Last time I was here was over 15 years ago and it always has the daily "lazies" shouting and acting up. Kinda pits people off coming in as you don't know if they are just happy drunks or its gonna kick off.

What a cracking find lovely little pub in the city had 2 meals for £10.99 could not believe the price , had the most wonderful service from Jayne nothing was too much trouble for her her customer service skills are top notch bless her she didn’t stop from serving drinks taking food to various tables constantly cleaning what a wonder women . Our food 2 fish and chips was delicious I had a speckled hen fantastic ale and the wife had house wine again fantastic, will be making this little gem of a place a regular stopping point from now on thank you very much Jayne you made our visit now put your feet up and have a rest see you soon .

Absolutely fantastic service, Ewan was a dream, he helped me and my son so much by carrying a highchair over to the table for us. He helped explain what came with our meals and it was a fantastic price with the cost of living crisis going on. I'll definitely be visiting again!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love this place for quick, economical food. It's much better than fast food. Three of us ate (2 fish shop platters and one smothered chick) three drinks and the total bill was only £32. Cheaper than whacking on the oven. Staff were great too.

Me and my family of 5 decided to come to this pleasant establishment, we had classic gammons and fish and chips and it was delightful. The staff are very lovely and are wonderful for chit chatting with. They are absolutely marvellous when it comes to asking for advice on what to get and order. I would definitely recommend popping in to Eli Jenkins for whatever the occasion is :) either way it is a perfect pub to have a stop at a drink at or dinner

Me and my friends called in for a drink. Girls night out. The atmosphere was brilliant we ended up staying.the staff was very friendly and looked after us very well. We did end up having food which was lovely. I deffinatly recomend and we are deffinatly going back

Staff helpful., but food Absolutely terrible. Chips cooked to death. Gammon was like dried up thin bacon.. Not worth the money, not even cheap.

Dean was an absolute breath of fresh air. Very attentive, cheerful & an exemplary exhibition of what front of house should be.

As soon as you enter this pub you can smell the bogs! How do you eat here with that smell? Always undesirables hanging round the bar making it difficult to get served! The big Lady who seems to be in charge should sort those problems out!

As soon as you enter this pub you can smell the bogs. Puts you off! Another thing is the old lags hanging around the bar; they don't move for you to get served. Most annoying! Sort these out and it would be a good pub as the beers are ok!

Fab food, the Mac n cheese burger was absolute perfection. The staff are also very lovely. I found Dean particularly helpful as he explained the deals to me.

Great food and great service, no complains at all. Friendly regulars and staff who are always happy for a chat or to help out.

I can't fault this place as a regular customer all the staff are excellent especially Ewan and Richard and Serena who are very friendly and helpful always happy to serve you and the food is good also

First time to visit this pub.Was served by a very rude barmaid with nil customer service skills.I asked her what red wine she had.She reeled off three different wines including Chardonnay,so I didn’t realise there was red Chardonnay so ordered this.She gave me a white wine,I told her I ordered red,she was very argumentative and rude.Put it like this I will never go here again.What’s happened to the customer is always right ethos.

Having not been there for a couple of years couldn't believe how nice it still was

The food was really nice. The waitress was helpful and came over to double check the order as my son had made some amendments to his meal on ordering. This is really important to us as my son is very particular about what food he eats and if it was to come incorrect he wouldn't be able to eat it. We had a nice, spacious window seat. It was fairly quiet. It was a cheap and cheerful meal that was very tasty. The only downside to this pub is the patrons on occasions, but these are the pubs bread and butter. They didn't cause any harm or interference to us. There are a lot of what appears to be single gentlemen visiting for a quiet drink and some seem to spend a lot of time here but they don't appear to be any hassle. There seems to be the odd loud, shouty group that pass through, but they didn't cause us an issue. I guess it may be a consideration for some, particularly if you have younger children.

Took over an hour for food to be served, where not informed of any waiting time. Asked twice where the food was to be told it will be with you in a few minutes it wasn't, no explanation why it took so long. Dreadful service

Stopped by as i was walking past and seen a board outside offering a breakfast butty and a cuppa all i can say is wow best thing ever it was , pub was clean warm and a lovley lady manager was working with lovely long dark hair she was super friendly , doing everything she was bless her she had customer service down to a tee unlike another pub round the corner super happy i called in and will be back

Called in with my boyfriend for tea had a gammon and a mixed grill really enjoyed the meals brilliant portions and very cheap , staff were lovely and the pub was nice and warm after being out in the freezing cold had a lovely evening

Had a fab time here Saturday with the misses and friends drinks were great big selection which is nice to see as some pubs have a small selection, friendly service from the staff really enjoyed ourselves thank you for making our visit a great one we will be back.

We have been into Eli Jenkins before and always found it has a lovely atmosphere and drinks are good. Food is a little expensive but well cooked. However my experience today was disgusting to say the least. I am disabled and have to use the toilet frequently, so I use the Disabled toilet when I visit pubs, restaurants or cafes. Today I visited the disabled toilet in Eli Jenkins to find it in an absolutely disgusting state. There was urine on the floor, faeces on the sanitary bin and the toilet smelt awful. I had to endure this but exited as quickly as possible. The kitchens have to be passed as hygienically clean by Environmental Health, I think the toilet facilities need to be inspected and given a similar rating. Currently Eli Jenkins would get 0.

My concern was the ladies toilets 😫 and the general hygiene of the Swansea based Eli Jenkins. Just say, I'm so glad I went the toilet before we ordered food, I totally understand that your staff can't be made accountable for other people's mess, and I always take these things into consideration, however, what I saw was, build up, skinting toilets, and the skinks, taps that had build up all around the bottom, which clearly reflected that these toilets and skinks have not been cleaned in a very long time!!! We came here for a meal as we have many times before. Found a table no trouble. Decided what we all wanted from the menu and went to bar to order. Nice enough chap Jamie served us and he had only been here 2 weeks. Ordered fish and chips to be told we don’t do it. It’s till on the menu!! So decided on a salad with chicken and bacon. Ordered chicken tikka masala and gammon and chips. Didn’t have to wait on long for the food. Food arrived. Gammon was a good size but had loads of fat throughout and was very salty. Didn’t eat that. Salad was ok. Tikka masala advertised with nan bread and mango chutney but told again they don’t sell it with that. Again it’s advertised on the menu. I definitely won’t be visiting here again. Don’t waste your money

Absolutely disappointed with the quality of food at Eli Jenkins, as a chef myself I could never let food out that was this abysmal. Steak was charred black around the edges and came out practically well done when i asked for medium rare, the peas were almost rock hard and the burger was like chewing on boot leather not to mention the overall quality of the meat that was sent out was just as bad as the cooking itself. Grateful to the bar staff who offered complimentary drinks and handled my complaint very well

Convenient for the theatre now the restaraunt is closed. Rough and ready atmosphere but the food was fine and good service. Good prices for what you get. Didn't have everything available on the menu on our visit.

Lovely staff always very friendly. Absolutely love coming here, often busy but that just shows how good the food and drink is. The new menu is delicious, I had the hunters chicken which is topped with a cheese sauce, the sauce is absolutely delicious and the chicken cooked perfectly. I can't wait to come again to sample the festive menu

Came in with my partner I had 10 oz rump which was cooked to perfection and my partner had the bbq mac burger most definitely a excellent service was busy but the staff were attentive and willing to help keep up the good work will be back for more food
