Myself and my partner came in on back holiday weekend (Sunday). Desperate for a roast dinner. Unfortunately we spent too much time wondering around mumbles and the beautiful things it has to offer to be in time for a full roast. The gentleman who served us went out of his way to get us some left overs… when I say left overs I mean the BEST roast dinner/3 meat roll you could imagine. Even chucked some chips and cauliflower cheese on the side too. Cant thank him enough. The pub/restaurant has a real homie, local bar feel to it which made the atmosphere lovely. When we come back again this year this pub will be top of the list! Please, please, please don’t hesitate in going… I’d give you 6 stars if I could!?!

Lovely pub. Paula and Darren were very accommodating and they have possibly the best beers in The Mumbles! It was our first time in Mumbles and I’ve tried a couple of pubs but no pubs compare to this pub! It’s a lovely little back street pub & the regulars that go there are very friendly (I’ve been to some pubs across the country and the regulars aren’t as accommodating) but this is a lovely pub and I recommend anyone who is visiting The Mumbles to go here! It is cash only however you will get the best service and meet the best people ever!! 10/10 😁

Very well kept traditional pub. Cosy, clean and friendly environment, decent prices but I personally didn't think there was a good larger selection (all good if you're into Stella an.. I can't remember what the other draft larger was; i thought it was Carlsberg, but maybe Carling?). Card machine wasn't working, and i was snubbed £5 with my change. I'm assuming it was an innocent error though, but check your change to be sure, y'all. (*Edit; i assumed we had to pay in cash cause the machine was broken, but there isn't one at all)

The food was delicious, and all clearly home cooked. They informed us just before the main courses came out that the chef was new and it was only his second day. They weren't happy sending out one of the meals he had cooked so they asked my mum to choose something else and they didn't charge us for it! Fantastic service and commitment to quality. The girl behind the bar was in no rush to serve us a drink and when we asked we got a bit of a sigh and still had to wait another 2 minutes while she literally faffed about doing nothing productive. The bar was dead. Dad's beer was cloudy, sent it back only to be replaced with another cloudy pint. I work in a bar and if i pulled a cloudy pint of cask ale id swiftly chuck it down the drain and write it off as waste. Not a good start to my birthday meal! The waitress was nice thankfully. Food was good. Sunday roast. Will come back if the barmaids gone and I don't have to wait 10 minutes for a drink in an empty bar!

Had a great family meal in the summer with everything spot on, so we decided to return for a Sunday family lunch to celebrate a significant family birthday. We were 10 minutes late arriving but this caused no issues as we had phoned the pub. We had been warned this was a busy day so try to be on time. However we ordered at 12.50 with our starters arriving over a ten minute period from 1.45. The mains arrived at 2.20 with the last plate of veg landing halfway through the eating at 2.35. The food quality was good! The pub was freezing and whilst a fire was lit it made little difference. Some idiot had parked their car across the lounge door entrance making it impossible for our party to enter, one blind, one on crutches and two others with restricted motor ability. Staff told but open parking area meant the owner could not be traced. We asked for the bill only to be told on it delivery, "Were you told the cash machine doesn't work and its cash only?" How about NO. Poor lads serving do not deserve to be put in this position by an employer. No one apologised for any of the failings. In the end we put it down to the other big parties in that day but strangely as we left the pub was very quiet, in fact empty. Shame no warned us, its not hard to deliver yet if there are difficulties on the day just tell the customers and they might be supportive. If you go I hope you get the experience we first got in the summer.Sadly we will never go there again based on our experience.

I honestly thought i had already written a review for the Beaufort. We found the Beaufort by accident in the Summer after looking for somewhere to eat at 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon, thought we would end up in, what I call, a plastic chain pub but we were able to make a reservation to eat in the bar which I prefer. We have eaten out in the mumbles on numerous occasions but normally the beach front pubs like most visitors, never thought of looking to local villages. This pub is a hidden treasure, we have only had Sunday lunch but what a lunch. Choice of 3 meats and you can have a all 3 if you want, about 5 different veg Inc cauliflower cheese that a lot of pubs charge extra for. Welsh are extremely fussy about gravy, its a little too salty for my pallet but hubby loves it, its just a matter of taste but it is still tasty. the Chef kicked off and walked out because she had been caught giving free meals away which is such a no no from a bosses point of view when running a business but it added to the experience and the land lady apologised but there was no need. We were a bit dubious going back a second time but I've got to be honest the lunch was just as good. We have been back 6 times and have even taken friends and family with us, we had a great laugh one afternoon when a a group did nothing but moan about the desserts, lol but theyvsent clean plates back, some people just love to moan. For us, its worth the 30 mile drive, the only thing that dissapoints me is that we are not reccognised, I love a bit of banter with bar staff but that's me, its seems very formal and I would rather be treated as a friend. Hey, each to their own ;)

Having visited the Beaufort on previous occasions to taste the fantastic home cooked roast Sunday dinners, I was looking forward to trying their lunchtime menu, unsure whether they could maintain my high opinions about their food and service. However, I was not disappointed. In fact I couldn't fault a thing. As usual the staff were welcoming and attentive. The home cooked chips and fresh salad were a divine side to the most succulent home made cheeseburger. I thought that they wouldn't top it with their dessert but the home made apple crumble was the icing on the cake that accompanied a lovely family get together. What I love about the service at the Beaufort is that the staff are so friendly and make you feel relaxed in their company. The best thing for me is that they are happy to cater for children's needs as they are fully aware of how little ones can be picky and may not fancy exactly what's on the children's menu. My little man was overjoyed at the fact he could pick what he wanted for lunch and that always makes me a happy mammy! If it is a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and fresh, homemade delicious food you're after- I highly recommend visiting the Beaufort, you won't be disappointed!

This was our first visit to the Beaufort Arms after reading some decent reviews on trip advisor.I made an over the phone booking to reserve a table. Unfortunately they'd messed up the booking, so we were ushered into the bar for drinks, until they sorted a table. We went into the bar and after we pushed two tables together, we ended up having our food in there. We were then asked what we wanted, without being given any choices or menus. No starters were offered until we asked if there were any available, but even then they weren't 100% on what they had.We ordered our meals and they arrived fairly quickly. And after a pretty dodgy start to our meal... The food was outstanding. Plenty of veg and meat and really tasty. So all in all a mix review... If the service was as good as the food, it would be the best place I've had a Sunday lunch. But the fact the staff seem to have no idea what their doing or what's going on, lets the place down massively.

This was our first time in the Beaufort Arms for Sunday Lunch, all we can say is what a stunning meal, the best we've ever had anywhere, tasty and plentiful and Helen and the staff were all very friendly and very helpful, when we are in Mumbles again we will definitely be using this outstanding pub. Thank you Helen and staff for the warm welcome we received.Chris and Pauline.

Sitting in the beaufort arms outdoor dining area as I write this. The place has a lovely atmosphere of a nice local friendly pub. My group all had a Sunday dinner with a starter and we tried them all, soup, prawns and camembert, absolutely outstanding. Then came the home cooked Sunday dinner which was a very generous portion all cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. They even brought out the scraps for our dog to eat. In all I cant fault the staff, the owner or the food. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place for food or even for a nice quiet local drink

We went for my mothers birthday, in a group of 8, ageing from 13 to 84. We all enjoyed our food, and nothing was left. I had the beef and ale pie, and it was very nice, The others had either beefburgers or lasagne and were happy with it. The real ale was great, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The only slight problem is that the food took a while to come, but that may be because of the size of the group.

We have had Sunday lunch at the Beaufort Arms in Norton now three times & on each occasion have been vey impressed. The quality of roast meat is excellent & the range of well cooked fresh vegetables the best I have come across anywhere. The young team are delightful, very friendly and helpful. This is a pub that has had mixed fortunes but now seems to be in the hands of a lady who really knows what she's doing. If I were to give any advice at all I would ask for speedier service between each course but other than that, keep on doing what you do do well. You deserve the success of your hard work & dedication.

I eat here regularly. The Chef's specials are particularly good, the rest of the menu is standard fare done to a high standard.Good range of beers well kept.Very nice, clean and friendly atmosphere, Importantly they serve food to 10pm when everywhere else closes at 9pm. Very close to the beautiful Three Cliffs Bay - a must see place.

This pub is now my local being a mere 91m from my front door! My wife and I tried a meal there tonight - our first since moving into this house. To say we were impressed is the biggest understatement! I had the pate to start - it was excellent. My wife had the prawns and I had a rump steak as mains. You could not fault anything about the meal. My steak was tender and perfectly cooked as I'd requested - medium rare! The pepper sauce I had was one of the best pepper sauces I have had anywhere and when the food was delivered, they offered me more sauce if I needed it! The prawns served as a main with rice were outstanding and the salad that comes as standard with the main is also superb. This is a popular pub for the locals - now I know why! It certainly is going into pole position for our choice as to where to eat out.If you just fancy a drink, even though it is filled with regulars, you will be welcomed not only by the brilliant staff but also by the other patrons who have a smile and kind word for everyone.Final word on the staff - they are brilliant, professional, friendly, knowledgable, welcoming and nothing is too much problem for them.If you visit Mumbles, visit this gem, you won't be disappointed.

We visited the Beaufort Arms for lunch last Sunday. The restaurant area of the pub is quite small with about 20 covers but lunch is also served in the bar. My wife had a very generous portion of pate to start and I had deep fried camembert, both were very good. There were 3 roasts with the option of having all 3 meats if you wish - I did! The turkey, pork and beef were tender, moist and full of flavour and were served with roast potatoes and parsnip and home made Yorkshire pudding together with with a wide range of vegetables. The meal was excellent and the landlady and her staff were friendly helpful and efficient. This was the best pub Sunday lunch I have had in a long time. The bar is also very friendly and well worth a visit.

We visited the Beaufort Arms in Norton Swansea a couple of weeks ago as we were on holiday in Swansea and were staying in a hotel nearby. Our evening however, was spoilt by the aggressive nature of whom we presumed was the Landlady speaking to two customers. Because the dining area was so small we could not help but hear what was going on and it made us feel very uncomfortable. We suggest she takes a course in Customer Service and if there was anything to be said to them, then do it in private - certainly not in front of a full pub of people.

Usually, I am not one to complain and like to leave full impartial reviews, however, here I must speak about the truly awful experience had here on Saturday 22nd August 2015. A large group of us were in the area visiting family and having known the area well we decided to try and book one of our usual places to eat. However, having not being able to get in any of them a little bit of research led us to the Beaufort Arms. On arrival it looked like a normal pub and the menu, although limited was not out of line with what we would expect. The service however, was the problem. First of all our drinks order was all over the place, with the wrong drinks coming out and drinks coming out at different times (after we had to chase them). We then had to place and reconfirm the food order on three occasions. Three of the meals came out wrong or with pieces missing and one child's meals was left off completely. It finally arrived 20 minutes after everyone else's had been served with no explanation. At this point feelings were quite high as my 5 year old daughter was getting upset and my wife refused to eat her dinner until everyone's was served. Rightly so the pub didn't charge us for a couple of the meals but in all honesty I was surprised we were charged at all. Even the quality of food wasn't great and those that received their meals didn't really eat them. It may have just been a bad day for them but their bad day completely ruined ours. This is one establishment we will not be going back to

Our second visit to this pub and I have to say we will definitely be coming back. The food was excellent and plenty full, as for the service, we could not fault it. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
