The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

One of the best if not the best roast dinners I’ve had in a very long time! Absolutely perfect and the service from Enya and her sister was faultless amazing services and amazing food to match

Portions very small. Food was Luke warm. Friendly staff. Wouldn't go here again.

Last Saturday, I had ordered corn beef pies, they had taken 30+ minutes to arrive. Upon arrival the woman delivering my food had dropped it and had made the statement "oops my bad, sorry love!" then ran off, I then had to wait a further 20 minutes to receive my new corn beef pies, the same woman had delivered my pies a second time (this time successfully) The food was not even all that great it was mediocre at most. The woman I wish to report had curly dark hair, the whole meal was a disaster, will not be coming back until this sort of thing is sorted!!!

Quick disclaimer - it was a cold and damp night, so the bar was pretty empty. The kitchen was also out of order - the gas supply had been disrupted - so food service was off. And probably because of that, most of the staff were clustered in the kitchen, so I had to go and find someone to serve me at the bar. Considering we'd come to have a meal, it was an unmitigated disaster. I have never really enjoyed the experience of being in this pub and I don't go often as a result, but I'm not sure of the specific reason. The staff seem nice and it's usually busy. Just a bad night in particular. As I have friends who live close I imagine I'll be back so can re-review on a kore typical day!

Lovely little cafe on top of the beach with great views. The woman serving us was super friendly and welcoming and was very attentive. I ordered a hot chocolate and she recommended a shot of baileys and I was very glad I took her advice 🥰

We stayed here for our honeymoon and found the hotel really easy to navigate and parking was superb. The hotel was clean and tidy and room facilities were excellent. It was a lovely, old fashioned hotel which we were charmed by. We ate breakfast, but found the dinner prices a little out of our range and taste. Would recommend to anyone staying in Beddgelert, especially with the parking.

I called these guys at short notice to provide Fish and Chips and Sausage and Chips for 15 people!! They certainly did us proud and the food was top notch, thankyou!!!!

We went yesterday to The Old Pharmacy.We had booked a table and ordered crab sandwiches.Well we were not disappointed.The sandwiches were delicious and the tea was proper leaf tea.The young lady that owns the business was delightful after what must have been a difficult year for her business.We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely go again to support local enterprise.

Walked into subway, two staff working but just ignored me completely. Waited patiently thinking someone would have basic decency to take my order but left after waiting for nothing. How this store is still is business is beyond any comprehension.

So, I had to log in under another account to review the restaurant again in such a short time. Apparently, you can only pick on, sorry, review, a restaurant once a month!! Anyway, here you are…. The second half of the saga… And here we are back in the place of expectations. I must be a glutton for punishment, good job I’m not glutton intolerant. Well, this time it was ‘Beer battered fish and chips’ Best meal I’ve had here I must give credit where it’s due. But…… Firstly, false advertising because I got fish n fries not fish and chips. Most of which were hidden by the fish to make way for the two humongous pots and lemon. We’ll get to them individually. So, I missed a bit off the menu title just for this paragraph. The full title is as follows… BEER BATTERED FISH & CHIPS Mushy Peas, Goodbye Sauce - £17.50. Ok, but I bet you’re all thinking the same thing. What the hell is ‘Goodbye’ sauce? Well, I’ll tell you… Mushy peas… now, when the pot of sauce is bigger than the pot of mushy peas we have a serious problem don’t you think? Humongous was probably overdoing it somewhat. At least the peas turned up this time although in short supply. On another review of this place, they weren’t even allowed out the tin! Then we get to the lemon, what can I say. I reckon it’s seen some action behind the bar last weekend before it made it to the kitchen and then my plate 😳. The fish was perfect! That made this the best dish of my visits so far! Thank you and I look forward to the next unexpected experience next time I’m in. Oh by the way, for those still in anticipation, ‘goodbye’ sauce? It’s tartare sauce. Just call it tartare sauce you plums !!

Visited twice for lunch and dinner. Home cooked food was excellent. Great atmosphere and great service. Good selection of drinks. It’s what pubs should be ! We’d definitely visit again.

Excellent experience! The staff were helpful and thoughtful right from the start. Food was excellent and even though they ran out of spinach for the vegan curry they added extra veg to compensate

I love the starling cloud because the staff is fangtastic,the room are big and the food is fangtastic and lovely that is makes you full so I would love to come there anytime

Such a shame that bar prices are different depending on whether or not there is a rugby match being played. This is so disappointing for someone who lives close by, and contributes to little or no atmosphere on a Saturday night. There are cheaper places nearby with a far better ambience. Think again please Eli Jenkins.
