The best restaurants serving British food in Wales

Called in this morning for breakfast after seeing the sign on the main road Well it’s the best breakfast I have had in a long time busting with flavour Very clean and well presented keep up the good work

We visited whilst on our way down to Builth Wells. A family of 8. Food was fabulous very tasty. Staff extremely friendly and worked very fast to serve our Sunday lunch. Very large portions and a huge bowl of cauliflower cheese unfortunately only one of our party liked that so a lot went to waste. We would definitely recommend! Diolch yn fawr/thank you very much

we went out for a family meal we ordered our drinks and food but the landlord was so incredibly rude and made us feel not welcome that we ate our meal which was not good we just left we shall not be returning think the landlord needs go learn sum manners

Hadn’t been here for a long time as the food wasn’t good, I’d heard good reports now so I ventured in, my god what a pleasant surprise, the fish and chips were amazing, the shop was clean and bright and the price of £10 was ok as the portion was really generous

Superb carvery served as requested where requested for decent price new pints served quicker than requested 10 out of 10

Just had chicken meat and chips from this kebab shop as everything else was shut to eat and was staying in Newport for a night, all I can is boy that was the best chicken kebab meat I have had for many years. Think I'll be staying in Newport more often. Keep up the work guys, good happy cooking 👍

I had Sunday roast with my daughter today at the Hanbury all was fine apart from the roast potatoes which were burnt black and the stuffing wasn't cooked I go there quite a lot and hope it will be better next time 🙂

Very disappointed in our main course avoid the lamb at all cost we had a refund staff were nice but main course was poor would I go again no wasn’t value for money at all shame as a nice pub with nice staff

Great food, fast service. We took the dogs with us in there. They have a doggy station which has treats, water and doggy bags. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Better than any fish and chip in aberystwyth

Great breakfast, cooked fresh, and unlimited, along with contental. Best breakfast for miles, it's a regular hunat. Staff, always friendly and helpful.

I visit on a regular basis at least once a week. Very friendly staff love the cosy atmosphere food is always hot and delicious

I asked for soya milk for my coffee and it was available and I asked for extra milk as I don't like strong coffee and I was given more at no extra cost. My cheese and tomato toastie was piping hot with plenty of cheese and tomato. It was served with fresh lettuce and cucumber, beautiful coleslaw and lovely crisps. Thank you so much to the lovely and friendly ladies and the young man who made my toastie. I really enjoyed it and I will come again. Five star rating and it was a pleasure tipping you guys.

We went yesterday to The Old Pharmacy.We had booked a table and ordered crab sandwiches.Well we were not disappointed.The sandwiches were delicious and the tea was proper leaf tea.The young lady that owns the business was delightful after what must have been a difficult year for her business.We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely go again to support local enterprise.
