We had one of our best meals of the trip at Sandemans. All of the dishes were delicious, but the whole experience was even better because the sommelier was so knowledgable and took our meal to a whole other level.

This is a restaurant with everything that you want for an excellent time. The food is wonderful, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the chef and her crew come out to speak to you. This is an experience that should be enjoyed by everyone although it may be a bit expensive for some. If it is a very special occasion then this is the place to make it memorable.

We've eaten with the Christopher and Fraser at 63 Tay St 3 times now since November. Each time has been simply superb. Frasers creations from the kitchen are superbly complemented by Christopher's selection of wines to accompany the meal. The use of local ingredients really stands out. The service is first class and we love the ambiance in the restaurant. A warm welcome is always guaranteed. For the quality on offer pricing is very reasonable. Very well done to you all.

Great food and great craic. I was up visiting my daughter in the area and I’d heard about the pies in the Craig Bar and thought I’d take my daughter and I for scoff. First of Robbie the owner is friendly and welcoming and speaks as he finds you. Fine selection of Malts on offer but I opted for a pint of IPA. We got the menus and sat down to decide what we wanted, there’s a selection of around 10 pies to choose from all served with a Scottish salad (chips) that I thought was a brilliant piece of marketing, pie and chips exactly what I like, there’s optional extras such as beans, gravy and they also do a vegetarian option on the pies. I opted for the Moo and Blue and my daughter had the Moo, so basically steak and blue cheese and a steak pie. Robbie said it’ll be around 20 minutes and it’s worth the wait, these pies are seriously delicious and the chips bang on. While eating, it was good listening to Robbie interact with everyone who came in, he’s certainly good craic. The interior is very much of RAF and other military memorabilia and suits the atmosphere of the place. Highly recommend this place for the pies and the craic

We have dined in many places in Inverness, mainly Mustard Seed, Rockpool, and Contrast, yet for some reason, we never tried this place until now. Maybe it’s the slightly hidden location or the entrance that could easily be mistaken for the pub next door. It doesn’t offer scenic views or convenient parking, but none of that matters once you step inside. The warm service and incredible food instantly transport you to a place where only the dining experience counts. I can’t imagine the typical Inverness snob coming here for lunch—it doesn’t have an expensive, overly designed interior. Instead, it offers simplicity and a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. We had an amazing family dinner here. We were lucky to get a table, as they were turning people away! The dishes arrived piping hot, and everything was absolutely delicious. What struck me the most was the fantastic variety on the menu—I genuinely struggled to choose because everything sounded so tempting. Prices are reasonable, and a reservation is a must. Don’t be put off by any 1-star or 2-star reviews—try it for yourself!

After booking a table and arriving early. I had a missed call enquiring where we were and an email cancelling the reservation. The food and service were excellent. The only down side is how dark the stairs and passage way are to the toilets. This is quite disorienting when coming out of the toilets.

Old time classics - absolutely love coming back to this place, which never disappoints. Staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable whether it's food or wines. Try throwing in a French word here and then - they'll play along. Genuine cooking bursting with flavours. Don't be afraid to try some of the daily specials. Last time we tried leek salad - which had herbs and leek grown at their own garden - which made for an amazing starter full of flavour yet very light. Personally, I love the snails and then beef tartar which is prepared at the table and to your liking.
